Shadow Takers discussion

Supernaturals have been known to lead the humans to the maze, specifically the ones who think they were being so rebellious before hand. The hedges seem to go on for miles and the maze is so huge, humans tend to go crazy between the vegetation. There's also barbered wire through the hedges, so any human who thinks they're being smart is definitely in for a surprise.

Nekoda stopped for a second to take in her surroundings. A maze, nice one, Kody. Her cold fingertips brushed against the dark leaves. Despite how often she blushed, her skin was normally cold with the exception of constant excercise. It was too late to go back. She had already run too far to pay attention to the paths of the large puzzle. Despair crept up her spine until she came to a realization: Just cut through. Nekoda began to make her way into the hedge until a sharp pain cut through the skin of her palm, and her body came in contact with a long string of metal. They must be that serious. Barbed wire....

Her palm started to burn in pain. Overall the barbs did not cut too deep, but it still hurt. Kody released a steady stream of cool air to try and ease the pain. Senegalese twists were held up in a high, elegant ponytail and it swished as she looked left and right. What would she give for someone to help her out of here? If miracles were supposedly true, Kody wanted one badly.

Maliak traveled after her knowing she was going to get hurt no matter what. He told her to trust him but she didn't listen. If only her stubborness and rebellious side just stopped being horrible. I told her to listen me but she didn't. If only, Nekoda listen this wouldn't have to be like this. I just want her safe. He tought and sighed once he was entering the maze. He knew the barbed wire and how it would hurt humans but not any supernaturals. So if any humans came here they would be hurt and he could already smell the blood even if he was far away from her. If only he was there and faster then moving slow he could help her. So he he used his superpeed and moved faster to get her. It was once he was therehe pulled her close and put his hand over hers and whispered a spell to heal her."Don't do that again unless you want to die. You make me worry for you Nekoda. I know we met but I feel something for you that I never felt. You make me feel love and I like that about you. Jushear me out for this."He whispered in her ear and stroked her back.

Nekoda's body jerked, though not with withdrawal but with more surprise. Maliak...of course he was the one that would arrive. Miracles were always cruel, yet strange things, she thought. Her eyes watched in astonishment as the skin slowly began to morph back to the way it was before the small incident. As if it did not happen at all. She knew she saw this somewhere, feeling the whole deja vu funk. Yes, she was correct. It was from the old movie, Tangled. With Rapunzel and her magical glowing hair that healed Flynn Rider's bleeding palm. Once it was fully healed, she felt her body press against his own. Her shoulders stiffened. Nekoda hasn't been touched in a long time. There were some people residing in the castle that wished to touch her, though she would never let them. In an attempt to escape all feelings she thought were senseless in her current condition. Kody listened to his words and gave a small nod in response. Her body began to relax. To think Maliak intrigued her. A small war with herself formed in her mind.

Nekoda never knew she was capable of provoking such emotions in other beings in a single encounter. There were only few options for the reason. She was a) going crazy b) dreaming c) Maliak was lying or d) he was using some kind of crazy foreign vampiric mojo. But what about Briar? Ever since her first step in the old establishment that was when she swore never to associate with supernaturals or humans she thought would be a danger. Although there was a small part of herself that contradicted. The one that she labelled useless, and never touched. It told her that Maliak was being serious. This was strangely soothing. Especially the intoxicating scent of his. The whole entire battle confused her so she decided to leave it aside. Slowly, her arms broke free from their tight hold to return and savor the hug. Such a small gesture did wonders to a person. And she missed out on all of it. Small breaths sucked in in a short duration of time then came out bumpy and uneven. Crying. It was silent as always as opposed to loud, ongoing sobs most people did. It was awhile until she composed herself, and opened her mouth to say something. Though nothing came out.

It's just that it might take me longer because I'm wong on trying to finish two charaters and other rps at the same time. Maliak glanced down at her to see her body withdrawled from him but staid close to him. He only wanted to protect her and keep her safe. He nev in his life felt love her. rely this was a dream right? That he could feel love for any human? Maybe it was a dream, right? Well so he thought. This was crazy but he didn't believe it and kept his chin propped ontop of her head and beathed her scent in. She smelled of flowers and summertime that he so long waited toave but couldn't because of the sun."I know I might sound crazy for loving you, Nekoda but I truly love you. I never felt love like this in ages. I coudln't feel love but you helped reak my icy heart and melt it. You truly are the one. Noone could understand me like you. I don't know what it is about you but you make me feel it. Surely you don't believe this but this is why I want you to hear me out. I'm not cruel or that horrible apeople think of me. I can be compassionate or even kind."He murmured and didn't want her to see he was crying. Not real tears. But of blood since he wasn't human anymore and hid it as he kissed her cheek gently.

Grammar is iffy. It's just the run on sentences I have trouble with.))

Nekoda was going to nod, but paused. Figuring she should say something that can contribute in a way. When the embrace ended, she took a step back. "No offense on the entire supernatural race. But I don't like paranormals. I don't wish to associate with any kind of supernatural being," she explained tightly. "Yeah, I get it I know you're...different than the others. But the entire thing is too confusing for me so you have to wait until I spill a over developed speech of devotion. In the mean time, be careful on who you say you care about because there are chances many things can change, okay?"
Kody's hand immediately covered her left cheek. Heat coursed through her veins--coloring her cheeks and slowly moving it's way to her neck. "And don't do that either!" she said, feeling miserably nervous.

((Lol oh my. I think te same but my computer is the one to mess up my grammer and spelling. So its not always my fault. But I'll post again a few mintues. Maliak didn't like at all was of how she was acting in this very way. She may seem good and all but she didn't need to act the way she was. It was becoming quite ridicoulous of how she was becoming. Just because he was a supernatural didn't mean he couldn't have a normal life. It was idiotic how he could think this of her."Sometimes I get you and sometimes I don't but you know what all I wanted to do was help you Nekoda but you know what if your going to be like this I actucally might change my mind of this."He said rather bitterly.

The sick feeling in her stomach vanished quickly. Nekoda was so used to situations like this it was practically breathing each and every word that stumbled from her mouth. With a wave of her hand she waved him off, "Listen, I don't need help. I'm perfectly capable of handling myself," she cut in, "so I really don't give a damn about your choices." Nekoda stalked away, of course not having not one single idea of where she was headed. It's no use. I'm not cut out for associating or living with people, she thought. Her paced slowed and not too soon she began to walk liesurely. She remembered Xotchil pointed that issue out to her. Kody needed to learn to pace herself. Nekoda took a deep breath and looked around at the large puzzle she was trapped in. Puzzles were too irritating. But hey, this could actually be fun.

This way of how she was acting was just plain out right getting irriating. How can a human just be so irrating but yet so sweet?! It doesn't even make sense in anyone's mind at all. He hated this but yet he loved her and followed after no matter what. So as for what, Maliak did he didn't give a care and followed her but smirked at how this human was so stubborn but he would still follow her."Nekoda you know I don't care how you want to act stubborn or not your not fooling anyone by how your acting Just because you that good t being this way doesn't bug me at all. I still loveyo and your going to listen because whether you like it o not you could trust me better then anyone else."He told her once he caught up with her.

Nekoda still continued walking, trying to control her mind on focusing on the way out. This is a miracle. I just pushed him aside and yet he's still there. Kody sighed in exasperation, wondering what it would take to get rid of him. As soon as she reached the intersection, she turned on her left. Not a single word was said until her eyes snapped up into an intense glare. "Why would I need to trust somebody?"

((Awwo sorry for your throat hurting you. I hope it gets better. No worries my paragraph might be short as well. I'm okay I guess just been busy a week. I was wondering since I got invited to this group if you wanted to join. It's vampires/humans/breedmates but once you join and read the plot it sounds a lot easier. It was really starting to get him not just irriated but he would like to drink her dry if her nagging voice ans questions wouldn't shut the hell up. Maliak in his life never thought a person like, Keoda could just be this irrating at all. Maybe because he was angry and he sighed in frustration. But when she spoke he just rolled her eyes."Maybe because if you don't trust me other supernaturals will want you and not keep you alive like I am doing fr you. They'll make sure your gladly dead. So that is why youshould listen to me. 'm already trying to stop myself from wanting to drink you dry because of how stubborn you are about right now."He said bitterly.

"Keep dreaming, because you're sure as hell not biting my neck again," she said tightly and turned on her left. What was with all his threats? So much for being so compassionate. Nekoda knew it would not last anyway. Not everyone can be so optimistic; besides her youngr sister, Briar. She was the only person Nekoda knew that can see the bright side to everything. The world needed more people like that. She prayed her soul wasn't crushed during the time of her absence.

He sighed and was seriously going to give up."Your seriously pushing me till the limit. What do you want Nekoda? Because I'll give it to you. I know freedom is out of the question so just tell me. I'm just gettig fed up with your stubborness but you need to know your going to die if your like this.Seriously stop acting like an idiot and actucally listen fr once!"He yelled. Maliak was up to the point he wanted to break her neck and rip her heart but he was controling himself.

Nekoda flinched and pulled back in recoil, slowing her pace carefully. It was strange really. How he could not offer anyone help without lacing in some kind of threat in the same sentences. She simply shook her head. Nekoda hated getting help, driven to accomplish tasks by herself. If freeing herself from this nightmare couldn't be done, then there was no point in anything at all, was it? "I am listening. I just don't like asking for help," she responded.

Maliak sighed in exasperation feeling sorry he had tp be as cold as ice and cruel but that seemed like the only way of getting through her. Just maybe if he had to get through her like this then things wold turn out for the best. He glanced at her with a now calm face."Well you'll need to ask for help because thats the only way of surviving or actucally working in a way."He told her.

Nekoda nodded and catched up a few steps until they resumed walking at an even pace again. "I know, but I feel useless when I do. I was always too dependent on my brother so..." she said shrugging lightly. Kody outstretched her arm and et her fingertips brush against the leaves of the hedges. "Do you know where you're going?" she asked, in an attempt to change the subject. It made her more relaxed, it was only a bit, but it was still progress. It was a long time she relieved that much pressure off of her conscience--probably since freshman year in high school. Too bad no one can even go to school anymore.

Mliak gave a slight smile and felt happy she didn't have to hide what she truly elt. She was finally openingup with her and everything would be perfectly fin. Well not perfect but it would be somewhat perfect. Just maybe, Alex thought that this girl would be a friend now but mean so much more later in his lie."Your not useless, Nekoda. Your wonderful and your attitude is quite strong and powerful Yes there may be flaws but you are who you are who you are. No one can stop that at all. I like who for who you are. But I wouldn't deny what is happening at all."He said quite sweetly. Aelx glanced at what she was doing and grinned sligtly."Yeah I do.I just tughte took a path like this it would be okay."

Her face flushed though her face twisted into a scowl. "Shut up," she said quietly. Nekoda looked up at him, the corner of her mouth turning upwards--it was only slightly, but it was progress to a real smile soon neverless. "The path is nice...I like it," she said quietly then glanced ahead. To think this is how her first day of being inside a maze would be. It was actually nice, despite the many cruel and dispicable acts most supernaturals did in here: lead humans here on purpose to scurry around like vermin. But she had to gie them the credit, the complexity of the maze was unbelievable. When the moment became quiet she actually wanted to talk. "That stupid smile of yours remind me of him sometimes."

((So how have been lately? I'll post for Maliak in a second I'm doing my math homework at the moment and other things. So it might take me abit))

((I've been fine, you? Lol, I always procrastinate math homework, and it always ends up either not handed in, or handed in half done. My teacher gives too much homework. Today, I forgot to copy it so...no homework for me!)

((I'm okay just making another character or maybe two for this one group. So I've been doing a lot of character making lately. I think we all proscinate on it and Ido a ton on that. So my homework is half done and I need to finish last night and night's homework. Oh lucky you. I can't do so. I ready got mandatory math tutoring. So I'll have to do that tommorrow during studyhall. I think so far I just got tons of bad luck this week.))

((At least you have a tutor. I'm on my own since I have no one to ask for help. The only 'help' I have is copying other answers during lunch XD))

With a gaze upon looking at her he let his lips curl up into a wicked grin enjoying how her cheeks flushed to a rosy color. Maliak enjoyed how she appeared and how she was getting use to him. Maybe even things would work out for them. But he just paid attention to the maze and how the bushes looked as he let the tips of his fingertips brush against the leaves ever so lightly."Maybe I'll shut up when I feel like it but good to see you smiling even if its slightly."Alex replied softly. He sang a quiet and soft melody as he continued to walk her further in the maze and nodded at her comment. But when she brought up of how his smile reminded her of someone he only grinned again ever so slightly."Who is it? I would like to know. Might intrigue me.''

Nekoda let out a sigh and shook her head. He was definately the oddest supernatural she has ever met. It seemed impossible that one like Maliak even existed. With that kind of attitude Kody thought that she would already be locked in the meat freezer or another equally cruel punishment. All those compliments, she never recieved a single compliment from anyone except her father and Xotchil. This feeling was definately foreign. And it kept returning every time he did just so. And get this, now he was singing.

Kody resisted the urge to ask him why he acted like this, and why he didn't smack her or something. But she decided it was best to save that question for a more better time. Right now, in this moment she wanted to know how it would feel to trigger Maliak's calm side--without a threat woven in every sentence; without the cold menace that dripped from his mouth. It was a better side she wanted to see often, but she knew well she didn't deserve it.

She studied his smile, and tapped her bottom lip with her finger, "My brother. Strangely similar." There were minimum stark contrast between Christopher's and Maliak's. They both had the arrogant lip curl, or the easy going smile. The kinda that sparks your annoyance, but only makes them laugh.

Maliak glanced up to see her sigh and wondered why but didn't say a thing of it. For being a Supernatural he din't seem all that bad and he truly did like her. Whether she wa stubborn and even with her annoying habit she was still worth it. He liked her and knew she would trust him. Might tak awhile but she did like him. For the first time he truly felt relaxed and calm. Never before as his creator, Sophie Ann mentioned that he could be this calm. When he was always calm he looked relaxedand always singing. Just looking chill that you wouldn't think he looked quite so peaceful. With how, Alex had his ife in front of him he never was never calm but this mere girl, Nekoda made him feel like no other. Alex sang quitely and grinned as he looked over her agai and took hold of her hand and interlaced their hands together When he spoke his lip curled into a dark grin."Oh that sounds like an honor. But why strangely similar?"

Nekoda glanced down at his hand and swallowed thickly. It's just holding hands, it's nothing serious... she reassured herself, dismissing it as friendly. Maliak was happy so she was fine. But she knew this respect wouldn't last long. As soon as he found out everything she would be labeled as a useless coward like most who knew did so. Yet she savored the moment, even if it were a small gesture. As said before, she never had such simple physical gestures in a long time. The smile she wore before has disappeared moment ago, but instead of a frown, her face was softer. An honor, he calls it. And he hasn't even emt my brother... those few words made her feel happy, even if she didn't smile. Usually someone would just tell her to move on, and have a depleting respect about Christopher. Nekoda nodded, "It's your lip," she commented and tapped his top lip lightly. Yep, that was it. It was one of the minimal traits Maliak and Christopher shared.

Maliak gave her a reassuring smileas she looke nerous oftheir hans beng hel together. She'll get the message that it not just friendly but love. Just one step at a time. She'll like me slowly. He felt relieved everything worked out for the best. He truly did love her. But he ld let this relationship take time. Maliak wouldn't ush her into anything. Elizabeth did tell him once he was a lover at heart and always being the one to help out. It was sad hat he thought of her so highly but she was no where to be found. Eiher dead or turned into a vampire or something. Alex shook it off and kissed her cheek gently. When she spoke again he grinned deeply."I can see why now."He replied and laughed softly when she touched his lip. He brout her hand closer to his mouth an gently kissed it.

Nekoda's faced flushed a new shade of crimson, and she wished her hair was able to cover her face. Sadly, it couldn't. If only she remembered how to smile she would. It might seem strange, but Kody long forgotten how to smile, and was not even sure if she would ever be capable of doing so. But for this moment, her heart was pounding, and there was that strange feeling again in her stomach. It was like drowning--unbearable. "...Maliak," she whispered, "I think she should keep walking...and talking or course."

Auden, a light fae, stood outside the enteance of the maze. He glanced at the door that led to the large field, and waited patiently to lure somoene inside. He was bored, and needed some entertainment. ot only for human, but supernatural alike, it was fun to watch them either scared or confused when he tricked them. Of course, it was only playing, and Auden always thanked them afterward. Call it arrogance if you wish but hey, not everyone was a good person.

Maliak grinned to see her face blushed a dark red. It was only him making her feel that way and he enjoyed to see her like that. Made him feel quite happy but also seeing how as she was happy. To him he didn't care if she blushed or not as long as she was happy with him and he made her feel okay that's all he cared for. Alex grinned wickedly and caressed her cheek with his free hand and lost interest or lost of what she said as he caressed her face as hey walked. But blinked his eyes to hear what she said."Don't worry, Nekodawe are doing so."

Ashiinn strolled to the maze as she glanced around feeling quite y and not scared of the maze. There wasn't anything that scared her or anything. Maybe the Supernaturals but whatever she thought of them didn't scare her. But then again she thought wrong when she didn't see where she was going and bumped into a guy. She glanced up at him nervously."I'm so sorry. I didn't you see thee and I'm truly sorry sir. It won't happen again sir. I promise it."

((I'm finally finished with my character for Prom Week! I'm so tired now. ))

"Why do you call me by my full name anyway?" she wondered aloud, not specifically targeting Maliak. It was not strange, but she found it interesting. She despised her first name, though not as much as her middle name--Florence. And with their first encounter, how did he even know her name in the first place? He said he wouldn't tell her, for she had to find out herself. But who could she consult? Maybe every single human who ever served in the castle had some sort of personal file. Or was he watching her since her dirst day at the castle like a stalker?

Auden's smirked and a mischievous glint passed through his eyes. The human was so flustered, when it neednt be. He wasn't going to lock her in the meat freezer. Though he did recall that happened to one human only a year ago--a girl. He never knew her name but not many witnessed the event. Auden chuckled; it wasn't easy going as if he were to let it slip, but it was dark and childish like his overall attitude. "Ashilinn, you should really watch where your going. Not everyone is as merciful as I am."

"I think it sounds lovely. Every time I say it sounds cute and even sweet like you are. I would only call you by your nickname if you allowed me to."He said softly and let his free hand caress her cheek to now her neck. Her skin felt soft under his touch and he was itching to just kiss her but he was holind back. Why did have to fall in love with a human? Just why did it have to be? Maliak sighed and shook it off and walked with her furthermore as he wanted to keep going and not keep is mind on this.

Ashilinn bit her lip nervously and let her hand come to her ear pierceing and touch it as a nervous habit. She shivered slightly under his gaze. She felt bold all the time but under a Supernatural's gaze and being near them she felt so scared at times she didn't know what to say. Ash let her finger twirl a strand of her hair between her fingers. The way he smirked so mischievously didn't mean a good thing. It meant a mbad thing and she didn't know what to say of it."How do you know my name? I haven't told you my name sir. I'm sory I did bump into you and I will watch where I'm going. I thank you for being merciful."She murmured.
