Name: November Shade (view spoiler)

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Straight

Real Age And Looks: November has lived for around 900 years, about 100 years after Humanity's fall. She looks 18 years old.

Appearance:
http://m.weheartit.com/entry/50368874...
http://m.weheartit.com/entry/50354272...

Distinctive Markings: None, like most Shadow Takers.

History: November's world was a lie to her, for the first few years of her life. Her parents were Shadow Takers, but were cruel enough to lie to their daughters, November and Hope. They were told they were Mortals, hiding away from the Supernatural. But as the years went on, November realized the truth. When she found that her aging wasn't that of a Mortal's, and saw her parents talk with two Demons, she began to get suspicious. She questioned her parents, and left without a trace. She did not bring her little sister, Hope, for she hated that girl so very much, she'd just rip her to shreds within the first five second of their escape.

November was on her own for hundred of years. She fought many battles and gained power and strength. She threatened any Mortal she saw, and many Supernaturals who crossed her path she fought for sport. But she was far too quick and skilled to get the tiniest of scars. And she kept to an old ruined city, popular and feared among those remaining Humans and the Supernatural who scavenged the empty streets for victims. But November became bored after a few hundred years, and left. She travelled the outdoors, hoping to find another broken civilization to scare.

As November grew more powerful, taking in Supernaturals to create her rogue group of followers, she found it fit to join a castle. She came across plenty, but none interested her, or if they did, theey didn't meet her expectations and such. But finally, she found a castle she liked. And being a Shadow Taker, she quickly made herself known to the other Supernaturals and human slaves.

Personality: November is simple-minded, and actually very stubborn. She has forgotten her past and her family, having no idea or thoughts of anything about them. She has no care in the world about what Mortals, or what any Supernatural in a lower rank than her, have to say or feel. She sadistic and cruel, and is extremely skilled at hiding her emotions, like any other Supernatural. And almost all the time when she's around a Mortal or anything lower-ranked than a Fallen Angel, she appears as expressionless as a rock.

November cares only about her Demon, Augustus. No, she has no thoughts of sleeping with him. He acts like a brother to her. But she still orders him around like a servant. So, more like a cousin than a brother, but whatever.

She's also the independent type, and very proud for all her bttles and for her position. November is a strong-silent person, and her aura is dark and powerful, many creatures fear her and are intimidated by her in her presence. She has never felt pity for another creature, and never will. She's a dark and secretive Shadow Taker, creeping through the halls and stalking random Mortals. She finds it a sport to torture a Human, and takes pleasure in hearing their screams of agony as they drain to near death.

Likes: Torturing and scaring Mortals. Her Demon, Augustus. Fighting a lower-ranked creature, knowing she'd win because of her power. Fear pouring from a Mortal as she walks into a room. Her large collection of Scythes. Even the occasional rebelious Mortal, she enjoys their amusing and often times riduclously hilarious outbursts and snappish tones.

Dislikes: November doesn't like to wait. She's rather impatient. She also hates when Mortals aren't entertaining her. Or when a self-rightious Mortal thinks themselves more special than others and talk back to her - Although sometimes she finds it amusing. Smart Alecs. Stubborn Supernaturals and Mortals.

Strengths: November is very skilled and powerful, and anything ranked lower than her, she can fight and almost always calls the upper hand. She's also unfazed by rebellious Mortals who have the courage to back-talk her, in fact November finds it very amusing. Her weapon of choice would be the Scythe, no doubt. She's independent, and always appears expressionless around Mortals and low-ranked Supernaturals. She can also use magic very well.

Weaknesses: November is very impatient and hates to wait. She overestimates sometimes, and often uses too much energy in a fight because of her pride. She's not very good when cooperating with creatures ranked lower than a Fallen Angel.

Weapon: Her precious Scythes.

Other:

Demon: Augustus, or Aug, is a very loyal and somewhat smug guy. He talks only to November, and takes orders ony from her, too. And because of his close relationship with November, he's the only one who she lets call her Nova.

Demon's Appearance:
http://m.weheartit.com/entry/17690641...
- Eyes are steel gray.
- Augustus has taken the body of a Human, Who he constantly hears screaming in his mind.

message 3: by Mal (last edited Jan 26, 2013 03:48PM) (new)

Mal (malxox) Name: Seraphim
Though when amongst other Shadow Taker’s he prefers an… easier name; Quinn.
Sexuality: Straight
Gender: Male

Real Age and Looks: Quinn looks about eighteen to the naked eye but it approaching his 317th birthday sometime next year.

Appearance:

Height: 5’11”
Eye Color: Blue; light enough that at times it can look clear
Hair Color: Black – pitch black

History: Quinn always knew he was a Shadow Taker, until he was old enough to really know things that was. As a baby he really didn't give a shit. His parents had been Shadow Takers, silent like the rest of them. Who knows where he came from.

His parents were deadly and ruthless... And honestly a bit strange. Quinn didn't have a name until the age of one, exactly one. His parents hadn't named him because they wanted it to reflect his personality, so they waited a year and for his first birthday his present was a name; Seraphim. They decided it was what would fit him best, seeing as he seemed to have a knack/thing for fire. He liked to watch things burn, and had accidentally set something aflame once.

Quinn was never really punished, and that's were his rebelish attitude appeared from, if you wanted to know. As he grew older he became... More like a Shadow Taker to be. Mostly it was on the demand of his parents, but he likes to show his emotions because--that's what makes him so damn scary. Quinn enjoys it too. Always has.

Personality:
-Quinn is a Shadow Taker, yes, is he completely emotionless? No.
-Around humans Quinn’s almost emotionless. Almost, almost always one side of his lips is quirked up just a smidge. You can hardly see it from a distance, but it is obvious that he enjoys being who he is.
-He’s not exactly cruel, but he’s not any kind of sweetheart either. Quinn loves the power he holds in one simple hand. He enjoys the top of the food chain… very much.
-You don’t want him as an enemy, and if you know what’s good for you you’ll either do what he stays or stay out of his way. You could end up as a pile of dust, hint the name Seraphim.
-Quinn’s got a knack for getting on people’s nerves, whether he tries to or not. It’s just something about him that he guesses either intrigues, terrifies, or bugs people. Particularly Taryn. Though he does try to get on her nerves just a little bit, because he knows how much it pisses her off. It’s his form of entertainment.

Strengths: Quinn has many strengths, not to mention the fact that he's a Shadow Taker, that gives him loads of power over ... everyone, except for his co-Shadow Taker's that is. Not that that stops him, his demon is no one's but his own, and though she speaks little her presence is enough to nogciate with others very well. Quinn doesn't generally let anger get the best of him, he keeps an strange (but twisted) open mind about all things, so he's clear on what's best for himself. Highly powerful, skilled in any sort of combat.

Weaknesses: Sometimes his ego gets to him, I wouldn't call him nessicarily blind, but he's too confident. Best to say that if you were to pull something on him he would assume you wouldn't have the guts, get what Im saying? To high on himself. He takes joy in bothering others, usually that gets on others nerves. Then there is the subject of his combat skills. Yes it is a strength of his, even the fact that he doesn't have to use it often is a strength, but always a weakness for the fact that he doesn't enjoy getting his hands dirty usually sets his enemy, usually though depending on who yu are, a supernatural is more likely, to have an upper hand.

Weapon: Eh, he's smug enough that he doesn't carry anything but his own abilites.

Other: If you haven’t noticed yet, Seraphim isn’t a name you hear often. I can assure you that it is indeed a name. A foreign name at that; Quinn’s Italian, explains the good looks, right? ;)

Demon: Ashling has a silent personality, are only her eyes gleam in her dark figure, a glinting blood red. It doesn’t bother Quinn one bit, and she only answers to him. She doesn’t have many opinions of her own and agrees with him on most things. If you see her speaking to anyone for even the briefest moment, it’s Quinn. She’s quiet and deadly, and though she is only a lowly demon her eyes are enough to give people shivers.

message 4: by E.J. (last edited Jan 16, 2013 04:59PM) (new)

E.J. (ejschoenborn) Name: Lillian

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Too Young for That Sort of Thing But I Guess Straight Would Fit Then.

Real Age and Looks:
She looks to be about the age of 8 at the oldest with long black hair, dark as obsidian and shiny as well.
In her dark hair she has a ringlet halo made of silver to contrast the darkness. She always dress in dark colors that are inlaid with gemsetones to sparkle like the night sky. She is fond of black and dark blues, but deep reds are loved as well.
Her eyes:
Right White - (view spoiler)
Left Black - (view spoiler)

Appearance:
(view spoiler)

Distinct Markings:
Her two different colored eyes.

History:
Lillian woke up at the age of human years six, but the age of demon years three-hundred-sixty. In case you can't figure that out, that means she ages sixty-demon years for every human year. This is not the case for all demons, but it is the case for her. Who knows... perhaps her aging will speed up or slow down after a few more decades.

She woke up in the beautiful state of New York in the wonderful place known as Central Park. Unfortunately for New York, she was surprised when she first woke up and the city is now no more. The poor place... it never really did anything wrong to her specifically. Well, besides the hobo in the park that asked her if she wanted to go with him back to his box, but his jaw was removed before he could finish the word "Box" so... maybe she over-reacted. Or maybe it was the second person she met - a cannibalistic necrophiliac. Now THAT was an interesting time. When she met him, she found out the sickness of adults and humanity in the world. She knew he didn't represent all of humanity but he did enough. She caught him naked eating the deceased body of some small hispanic woman.
Lillian then remembered that she could speak and remembered that she actually had quite a bit of wit.
She went up to him and whispered in his ear as she ripped his throat out, "You are what you eat."

For the next sixty years, she focused on regaining all her old memories and functions. Sadly, she realized after the destruction of the city that she had let her dark eye gain control and put it back in balance. She thought of a way she could make it up to the city... well, the crumbles that were left anyway. Perhaps she could write them a check. But what would she put on the memo line... she'll just put "Oopsie." No, they're dead. They don't need money.

The next thirty years passed quickly enough for her. A death here or there as her "friends" grew up. She learned that she loved the game hide n' seek a lot and that she was very good. They always tried to hide... it never worked.

The last thirty years passed more slowly and she grew bored with her current slaves. She had them for THIRTY YEARS and they had turned boring and old and pregnant (well, a few at least). She is currently holding auditions for new "playmates," a highly sought after position as it comes with MANY perks including three hot meals a day, a required seven hours of sleep at least, and plenty of games throughout the day. Just don't get found too quick in hide n' seek. That's not fun and Rowena gets hungry then ._.

Personality:
Oh, what more can be said about Lillian that hasn't already beeen hinted at or outright yelled to the high heavens. Quite a bit actually, but most of it is generic and unneeded information. Perhaps it is best to just recap what we have learned and add more tidbits.

If Lillian were human, she'd be diagnosed as bi-polar. This is because she literally has two personalities in her: light and dark. Her eyes. Remember? Well, they not only give her power, but they also affect her mood. Dark is moody, depressed, and fuming. Light is happy, joyful, laughing...
you get the idea, I'm sure.

As you can tell by reading everything that's here (orated by Lillian herself), you can tell that she has a tremendous wit and sarcasm about her, which includes one-liners before killing and dismembering people.
It will ALWAYS involve the situation and has the possibility of being cheesy. For example, she had one "friend" who was a teacher, but after losing a game of Hide N' Seek MUCH too early, she had to let him go. As Rowena arrived and attacked him, she muttered to the air, "School's out."
Then Rowena pecked at his stomach and she decided to go for a second one, "No guts, no glory."
Sadly, there were others watching and they had to laugh for fear of being fed to Rowena.

Now, don't think too lowly of Lillian for this. This is actually quite tame for what most demonic things do to people. In fact, she is quite generous and kind, never letting them suffer too long. If it even begins to approach torture, she stops it... by killing the tortured. But she stops it nonetheless!

Likes:
-Animals! Especially birds of prey, scavengers, and large cats/wolves.
-Black and Dark Hues of Blue and Purple
-Darkness and Shadows
-Hide n' Seek

Dislikes:
-Bright sunshine colors.
-Insects; such icky disgusting creatures.
-People she refers to as "old people"... who is anyone really past the age of fifteen.

Strengths:
-Each eye represents different types of power: her white eye represents light magic and her black eye represents dark magic. Both are very strong, especially if one of them starts to take control.
-Just like her demon, her shriek is very loud and has been known to cause eardrums to bleed and windows to shatter.

Weaknesses:
-The color pink is absolutely abhorrent to her along with any shade of yellow. White is alright, but not her favorite.
-She has to concentrate/meditate every once in a while to keep the dark and light sides in check.

Weapon:
She prefers using her demonic powers if anything or her large demon friend, Rowena. When Rowena gets hungry, she'll usually us her.
She does keep a small dagger on her at all times though....
just in case.

Other:
-She has an affinity for animals, particularly birds. Even more specific would be the scavengers such as ravaens and vultures and crows.
-She particularly enjoys the feeling of silk dresses.

Demon: Rowena has been with Lillian for well over twenty years. I know. She doesn't look that old but Lillian uses lots of moisturizer. Lillian found Rowena in the approximate area of what was once known as the "Dark Forest". Rowena was feasting on a delicate-looking lamb... or perhaps it was a small orphan. It was hard to tell, it was so dark. All Lillian remembers was the iron smell of blood and the scarlet staining something very pale. Hmmm... perhaps it was an orphan. Oh well.
Anyway, Rowena is not always a raven, but it appears to be the shape she prefers so Lillian doesn't judge. If not a raven, she is usually just a shadow on the wall, but that appears to be hard to do so she's usually a raven. Her "KAW!" is extremely loud and has been known to shatter windows. At least it gives her slaves something to do.

Demon's Appearance:
(view spoiler)
Pretty much. A very large raven.

Me, Myself, and I Name: Aeron (view spoiler) Lupe Thana
Nickname: Most of the Shadow Takers who also occupy the castle do not know her real name- She simply goes by Taryn now.

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Straight, though she does not partake in petty things like sex slaves, unlike most Supernaturals. Why would she lower herself so, to participate in the act with anyone below her?

Real Age and Looks: Taryn looks to be around her early twenties, late teens, though it is nearly impossible to pin down exactly how old she appears. Her real age is anyone's guess as well: She may just rip someone limb from limb if they were to ever ask about it. Does not anyone have a trace of manners these days? It's impolite to ask a woman about her age. (view spoiler)

Appearance: Taryn has long, ash blonde hair she often keeps pinned up in an old-appearing style with clips. Her face is sculpted into perfection, high cheekbones structured below artfully-shaped almond eyes. Though from far away, her skin would appear flawless, she does have freckles sprinkling below her eyes and across her nose. The addition of this particular hereditary trait gives her appearance even more of an innocent look. Of course, most humans who see her this up close and personal would never live to tell the tale about her appearance. Her irises have the tendency to reflect whatever she happens to be looking at like a mirror, almost never taking on their own color. During those rare moments when they are not, they are a strange mix of brown and green. Her pupils are slit, dragged down in a line like that of a wild cat's. Taryn's frame appears to be rather fragile, deceptively so. She stands at 5 foot, 3 and a half inches. Taryn has a tendency to wear angel wings strapped to her back as well. With her blonde hair so much like a halo, it's been known to catch people even more off guard when they happen to come across a feather splattered with blood.

(view spoiler)

Distinct Markings:

History: Unlike most Supernaturals, her memory has always been clear and likely will continue to remain that way for however long she lives. It is what has made her the way she is today, has shaped her into this monster with a sweet face. Believe it or not, Taryn had not always been aware of the fact that she was a Shadow Taker. In fact, she had always assumed she was a mere human. Up until the age of fifteen, of course. Until that time, she had been living with her family in the city, just another faceless person in the sea of bodies passing by at the supermarket. Trying to get by alive for her twin sister's sake as much as her own, knowing she was needed as her protector much more than even her parents. Her twin and Taryn were both chosen to go live in the castle at the youngest age possible, fifteen. The fear had been utterly crippling and the fact that they had been quick to separate the sisters had not helped a lick. It was hard, trying to keep up the pace with all the others in the castle. Working fast enough so as not to be given another glance, but not so much so that they payed special attention to you.

Fading into the background had always been something Taryn thought she could succeed in with flying colors, but the castle proved to be a challenge.

After a year or so, -Everyone knows time passes a little differently in the castle, where calenders and clocks no longer exist- Taryn finally happened to come across her sister. She had forgotten what she looked like, so she can only assume that seeing her was like what looking into a mirror would appear to be. Meeting in secret was the only way they could communicate without worry of the Supernaturals overhearing. It seemed like luck was one their side when the creatures seemed to ignore the two twins, never catching on to their dangerous little game. But secrets have a way of coming back to bite you in the ass, as they say, and Tessa and Taryn were no exception. Taryn had been waiting inside the abandoned library they had designated as their meeting spot: Looking back on it now, it was not exactly coy on their part. After waiting for what felt like a few hours, though she has no way of knowing how much time actually passed, Taryn finally got up to go. Maybe she was simply caught up with her duties. The castle was not gentle when giving the humans responsibilities, seeming to forget how very breakable the creatures were. At the door, Taryn pushed the heavy wood open, only to hear a dulled thud.

Finding Tessa's dead body did something to Taryn, changed her in a way she would have never thought possible. One moment, she had been staring blankly at the scene in front of her, eyes tracing the ribbons of ripped skin that had once been carefully laced over her neck, and the next? The next, she was waking up in a puddles of others' blood, the crimson lashed across the walls. Bodies were splayed down the hallway- But that was not what was most striking. No, that would have been the snarling beast with glowing red eyes whose misty muzzle was inches from her face.

Personality: At one point in time, Taryn was the fiercely loyal girl who was both a sweetheart and stubborn. The one who was easily crushed with a harsh word from a Supernatural, much less a fist to the face or anything worse. It was an interesting way of life, being silently protective of her twin sister, yet too weak to preform any acts that could be considered 'productive.' Some might say it was easier that way than what she is now, this robot with the girl's face.

But she had never been one to ask for the opinions of others, and the personality of old Taryn has long since been shaken off. Now, she is the typical Shadow Taker: She would be the one ruler among her court to tear your heart out as soon as look at you. Her facial expression would not change in doing so, either. Why should it? You are simply a mere human, not a blimp in her radar. She is not scared to completely pour out all of her strength on an innocent bystander to use as an example to any humans she feels are getting out of line, either. Anything to make a point, really. Combined with her state of being completely void to any and all emotions, it is relatively expected for her to be extremely feared. It has been known to see those inferior cower as she walks by them, both human and Supernatural alike. As mentioned before, emotions have never been apart of the game- Nothing has managed yet to successful please her. Nor anger her.
Except for Quinn, of course.

As for late though, Taryn has decided to turn over a new leaf when it comes to her policy on torture. When she is angered by a mere human, she has decided not to express it as to be expected Most would assume body parts to be dismembered, blood to be splattered along nearby furniture in her wake. Simple because that was what most were used to seeing from her. But due to how, well, old that gets, she holds a bit more stealth now. Not that she does not have the power to rip a person's beating, bloody heart from their chest: That would simply be too easy. Taryn has found from experimentation that allowing someone to stew in their own fear makes their destruction taste all that much better. It sure as hell wears them down faster, as well.

Taryn does not process emotions the same way most do, meaning she does not feel affection for anything quite the same. Still, there are a few things that are able to make her feel a prickle of something.

Likes:

✔Pushing herself, feeling exhaustion run like fire through her veins. As it was once stated, pain is weakness leaving the body and Taryn will continue to push herself until there is no weakness left.
✔The view from the balcony. If another Shadow Taker should be looking for her, it is widely known that this is the one place she would most likely be.
✔The one person she has allowed herself to get close to is Fae, the demon most loyal to her. When it comes to the wolf-like creature, she is somewhat possessive.

Dislikes:
✘Quinn. Something about him has always managed to completely get under her skin, which is blasphemy. Emotions are not something she plays with- Except anger. Due to this one pitiful excuse for a Shadow Taker.
✘Being tested, as if she has not proved herself a thousand times by the trail of dead bodies left in her wake. Her victims alone could make up a grave site and yet she has been known to happen across someone who doubts her abilities.
✘Mirrors, as strange as it sounds. Looking in a reflection, seeing herself- It is too much a reminder of Tessa. Besides her eyes, which have slit downward like that of the snakes, the animal symbolizing evil, she is a physical copy of Tessa.

Strengths: The strength most obvious when observing Taryn would be her state of being completely emotionless. She doesn't let much effect her, remaining completely unruffled.

Weaknesses: You are kidding, right? Please do not kid with her. Taryn is not the type who favors jokes in the slightest. They simply do not please her- And she tends to discard things that she does not find of interest.

Weapon: Besides her abilities, Taryn doesn't much need any one weapon. If you don't believe her to be able without any materialistic item to defend herself, she'd gladly show you what exactly she's capable of. This is purely assuming you are willing to be the demonstration, though.

Other: Taryn actually has an accent due to her Australian origins.

Demon: Taryn and her demon Faelan, often referred to as 'Fae,' have an interesting connection. While at first, it was almost like Fae resented the Shadow Taker for having power over him. He was a lot like her, unwilling to be put on any sort of restraint. Refusing to be controlled. But it did not take long for her to break him down, having no trouble at all demonstrating who held all the power in their relationship. After all, she could control his every move with a flick of her hand, and there was only so long he could fight against that. It was either play by the role he was given or die. After all those years though, Fae has grown completely attached to Taryn, to date never willingly leaving her side.

Demon's Appearance: When Fae is not being instructed to strike, quick and deadly like a cobra, he sticks to walking around in something resembling a normal wolf form. His black fur seems to wraith with mist though, not looking quiet palpable. In this form, he has light blue eyes, taking on something like a sweet puppy look. Of course, his real form is something quite on the contrary. Taking on this appearance, he looks to be a black whole of shadows, the outline that of a wolf's. Black and white strands of something no one has ever really been able to identify follow him, having a soft-to-the-touch look. They have been known to wrap around victims and squeeze, slicing through delicate skin like barbed wire. His eyes glow fiery red.

Name: Asmodeus Frey Demetrius
Goes by Demitri, most do not know him as any other name.

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Real Age and Looks:
Demetri was born during the late reign of Queen Victoria in England, a little over a hundred years before humanity fell. Obviously you wouldn't be able to tell that he was that old though, instead Demetri appears to be in his early twenties.

Appearance:
An odd thing about Demitri would be choice of fashion, one might call it timeless. It would most accurately be described as the fashion of the Victorian age in England, the time of Demetri's birth. The reason behind this decision is unknown, whether it be a fondness of his era of birth or perhaps some far more mysterious answer.

Distinct Features:
Most definitely his most distinctive feature, other then his style of dressing, would be his eyes.

(view spoiler)

They are the shade of pure gold, one that darkness itself cannot touch as it seems to glow in the very night. A look that pierces through everything they gaze upon, as if it were able to see into your very being, as if nothing was capable of been hidden by it's watchful eyes. Demitri's eyes shine with a controlled madness, a dangerous sort of look, impossible to read the thoughts of the one who owns them. They are the eyes of one who has lived long.

History:
Remembering his whole history without error is both a blessing and curse to Demitri. Living as long as he has and remembering every moment of it, that has an effect upon a person, no matter what they are. Demitri was not always aware of what he was, and it wasn't until later in his life that he found out. Demitri was born during the age of Queen Victoria in England, in a not overally rich, but aristocratic family that lived in London. It was a time where humanity was at it's peak, a time when humanity had forgotten what it was like to be afraid of the dark. The world was a much different place back than, supernatural creatures were tossed of as mere myths and lived in the shadows of civilization. While this was not the true, it was not in fact completely true. Though rare, there were some supernaturals who led productive lives in human society while masking what they truly were. Due to this, Demitri lived most of his youth thinking he was a mere human, never did the mere idea of anything else ever cross his mind.

It was when Demitri was a young man in his early twenties that he discovered that there was a bit more to the world then what he had been led to believe, that there was bit more to himself then what he was told. At the time Demitri was pursuing his career in politics and such, and a friend of his invited him to a ball. Demitri, obviously, accepted the invitation and went to the ball. What he did not know, was that the ball was not everything at all what he thought it was. In reality, many of the guests at the ball were vampires whom had disguised themselves into human society, then the other guests were poor humans whom they had invited for some fun. Let's just say that there were surprises around for everyone, and though Demitri blacked out after having drunk to much, what he does remember is when they tried to kill him. It didn't exactly go as everyone had planned, and when it was over Demitri stood in a blood bath with the sudden realization that he was not human. That did not mean he knew exactly what he was, but Demitri was very certain he was far from being human.

Slowly after he realized he was not human, Demitri's powers began to blossom, and a bit by bit the darkness that every Shadow Taker has began to make it's way into his heart. Yet, there was still something missing, and the fact that he was not human but some sort of unknown monster weighed itself heavily upon his mind. What could he do? In this world where he shouldn't exist, there was no place for something like him in a world led by humanity. For a while Demitri went mad, completely and utterly insane, and nothing seemed to matter to him. It was during this time that Demitri remembers the least of, and what he did recall was lost in shadows and covered in blood. There was one small detail he remembered, and with a brutal satisfactions he recalled what the people had called him, "Jack The Ripper" and how appropriate the title was.

That's how it went on, until one day his world was changed once again. This is where Demitri begins to remember things clearly again, and it was began by the simple meeting of two people. It was a curious way to meet, mind you, one was a practically mindless serial killer prowling the alley ways, while the other was a ever so unsuspecting orphan girl. Neither were really what they seemed to be,and the outcome of the event was far from what any onlooker would have imagined. In the end three things happened. First, Demitri discovered what exactly he was. Second, he formed a most interesting bond with a demon. And finally, third, Demitri regained whatever was left of his mind and the Demitri we know today was born. In effect, this was the beginning of something much bigger, something that would take over a century to be completed.

Over the next few decades Demitri lead his way into humanity, always on the very edge of history itself, watching and learning what he could, but always with a single goal in mind. Not only this, but Demitri began to make his way into the world of the shadows, the world of the supernaturals. Over a century Demitri allied himself and brought together the people of the shadows. A lot of things happened in these decades, but it is the result of all that Demitri did that is truly important. It was in 2013 when he and the rest of the Shadow Takers of the times lead the supernaturals out of the shadows of civilization and revealed themselves to humanity. Humanity was not ready for them, and though it was not necessarily and easy task, the supernatural creatures of the world won, humanity had fallen from it's position at the top to mere filth at the bottom. Though it wasn't necessarily Demitri's doing, he did have an important role to play in the supernaturals rise to power. The new world did not last long before the Shadows Takers decided that they didn't consider the other supernaturals to be their equals either, and such the Tyranny of the Shadow Takers began. Really though, who could stop them? Now and days the rest of those Shadow Takers have either fallen back into the shadows, or have died. Demitri is the last Shadow Taker whom was alive during the time of the revolution against humanity.

Well, you don't really wanna be bothered with the small details of what happened over the last thousand years. Maybe if you asked him yourself Demitri would tell you a bit about it, though you never quite know when it comes to him.

Continuation *points up*

Personality:
The general image for that of a Shadow Taker is to be emotionless and cold, but for Demitri, is a bit different from most other Shadow Takers. As far as things go, no everybody considers Demitri to be perfectly sane either. Yes, it is true true that Demitri is as demonic and evil as any other Shadow Taker, without about as much consent for humanity or any other lowly creature as the rest. The fact is, that Demitri just exhibits such things in a different sort of way then most. I mean, sure Demitri is all for that sort of psychotic killing that some show, or that machine like stature that others seem to enjoy having, but it simply is not Demitri's style of doing things. Does this make Demitri a less dangerous or less frightening Shadow Taker? No, if anything Demitri is far more fear inducing then any of the others, for the others are predictable and have little habits and ways they do things. Demitri on the other hand is not so easy to understand and often amuses at such, for when you look into his eyes you see a sort of clever madness, a sort of calmed insanity.

Perhaps due to a certain fondness of his birth place, or sort of twisted contentedness, there is something about the way Demitri acts that resembles that of English Aristocrats. Demitri was born into a life that told him everything about the world that mattered could quite simply be explained. First of, proper manners and etiquette were completely necessary for any occasion. And if you know them well, then like any good English man, you can insult somebody while sounding completely polite. Some people just underestimate aristocratic etiquette, it really is all about doing anything while still appearing as if you were somehow still a gentleman. There is a sort of deeply twisted thing about the way Demitri does it, that somehow a person can be so demented and yet sound so sweet with a voice of pure honey. Second, tea is drink of the gods, and well they didn't really teach him much else.

While other Shadow Takers enjoy the usual blood spattering torturing of humans and other such creatures, Demitri find that that gets old and boring rather quickly. What Demitri finds the most amusing is that of physiological torture, and prolonged terror. Demitri amuses himself by playing mind games and manipulating people, and you best bet he is brilliant at it, even some of the other Shadow Takers have to watch themselves around his serpent tongue. Demitri has a clever and cunning mind, one that watches everything with calculating eyes. While other Shadow Takers might be content with themselves in this world, without the sightless thought about what it really means to live through battle. Demitri know such things, he has lived through wars and seen the warfare of human which can make some Supernaturals seem innocent. Do you really think the humans will be content to this life forever, we weren't. Demitri is strategist if anything else, his mind simply designed for such things. Somewhere in his mind, Demitri knows that one day the humans will rise against them.

You have probably heard the about how Demitri is not quite sane, that there is something off about him. Yes, there is something of a bit of clever madness to him, a bit of untouchable insanity, a wild insanity that you could see in his eyes. While at the moment it seems to calmed and controlled, there is always a bit of an unstable quality to Demitri, a sort of unpredictability of what goes on behind those beautiful wild eyes. Demitri had been mindless and mad once, and ever since then there has always been something a bit different about him, something a bit dangerous about him that is different from others. This is perhaps the most frightening thing about the man. Most Shadow Takers are like emotionless factories, but Demitri is not quite like that. Demitri enjoys animated his feelings, though he doens't exactly feel things the same way people do, and there is always the question to whether it is his actual feelings he is showing or whether it is merely part of an elaborate came of his. These qualities perhaps make him more dangerous then other Shadow Takers, in a sort of way.

If you remember anything, remember this; Demitri has lived for a long time, and living as long as he has does something to a person. Demitri has experience and seen things of this world that you might never quite understand, he has viewed the world from perspectives that you cannot imagine in the world you live in today. There was a time when he walked side by side humans, a time when the world was a different place.

Likes:
✔ Eccentric things - Demitri has a certain fondness for oddities and new things, they peak his curiosity.
✔ Manipulation - Demitri enjoys playing with people's mind and hearts as if they were nothing but puppets.
✔ Victorian - If you haven't noticed, he has a sort of twisted fondness for things from his era of birth.
✔ Puzzles/Riddles - Demitri enjoys a good puzzle or riddle for his mind, knowing this might very well save you life.

Dislikes:
✘ Simple and boring things.
✘ Well, there isn't much that he doesn't like...

Strengths:
• Demitri's power and mind are at the height of strength and makes him a most dangerous opponent to have.

Weaknesses:
• Please, are you suggesting something?
• If anything is weakness, then the most noticeable would be the wild insanity that lies behind his eyes.

Weapon:
A weapon similar to that of the two kusarigamas, or the chain sickles, connected together by a long chain. The difference is that at the end of each kusargima are two scythe like blades, the blades on either side facing oppisite directions. Here is an example of such a weapon: (view spoiler)

Just look at the weapon, doesn't it look as if it were made precisely for the task of reaping lives?

When not in use, the weapon is disguised as a jet black walking stick with silver at the head in the shape of a skull. This artifact is greatly infused with demonic energy, which would likely be the source behinds it's unique mystery. It is a rare event for him to take out his weapon, so it usually remains in this form.

Other: Demitri has a smooth British accent due to his birth place in England.

Demon:
Demitri's demon goes by the name Calista, she has been his demon from the very beginning and they have quite an interesting relationship. It was only when Demitri was a young man that he found Calista, she was disguised an an orphan girl on the streets, helpless and weak. Of course, that was merely an act, for Calista is brilliant actress and plays any role with perfection. Demitri saw through her deceit and was able to bind her to himself before she killed him. That's how their story together began. Unlike most, Calista wasn't resistant at first, instead she merely told Demitri one thing:

"At the first stench of weakness, I promise, I'll kill you."

Calista is a far more peculiar demon. While other demons prefer to simply monstrously slaughter their prey, Calista prefers to have some fun first, play a little bit with their mundane little minds. For the most part you would simply see Calista besides Demitri, and she would say nothing, and you would think of her as merely one of those silent killers. But Calista is a clever, cunning and manipulative creature to the very core. She does nothing because nothing is needed to be done, Demitri has given her no commands. She isn't allowed to do anything, Demitri likes to save her abilities for special occasions.

Demon's Appearance:
Casual Form:
While Calista obtains the ability to look like anything, there is a certain form that you will likely always see her in. It is the appearance of young girl, probably of age nine or ten. With eyes like brilliant sapphire, so full of sweet innocence, at least until they aren't. Golden locks of blond cascade to her shoulders. Then Calista's young and youthful face is a peachy fair, you can almost believe she really was merely a little girl. She wears a pink and black dress styled in the old Victorian way, then in the palm of her hand she holds a matching parasol, one you will mostly see opened and covering her face from the sun. If you were ignorant you would think of her as a shy sweet creature, that would be your first mistake against her.

Real Form:
Calista takes on the resemblance of a shadow, the shadow forms into that of a tall slender creature. Strands of darkness surround her, like that of ink poured into a glass of water. The form is not consistent, forming and reforming in strands of darkness. It is a deadly and terrifying creature to face, so remember, she doesn't get feed very often.

message 9: by Audrey (new)

Audrey (audreyjb) Most is taken from the other group, with some additions/slight alterations.

Name: Callum! Just Callum. No nicknames, please.

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Well, considering the whole "psychopath" thing, it doesn't really matter. He's never fallen in love or even had a "crush." He doesn't really like anyone except other Shadow Takers, and even then not in a sexual way. So. Not asexual, but close.

Real Age and Looks: Looks somewhere in the late 20s. He lost track of how old he is around the 900s. He's pretty damn old. He does know he was born on May 22, though. And if you forget... well. Let's just say you won't forget next year.

Appearance: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_laf...

History: When he was younger, he loved to just sit on a wall that looked out over town and control people to make them do silly things - or dangerous things. He talked to a shadowy thing that followed him around, and although he knew he wasn't normal, he didn't care and kept on causing destruction and panic in the village.

His parents were just as terrified as everyone else and were quick to throw him to the Shadow Takers when they came to town wondering why there was such destruction. He was still acting silly and happy when they left. Mostly because he'd just killed his parents!

Personality: (This is taken from my mod application so if you've already read it you don't really need to read this)

Callum is a cheerful and happy Shadow Taker, and nothing delights him more than killing/hurting humans. He could be compared to the Greek gods. Even though he's not immortal, he ages so slowly that a lowly human life means nothing to him. So what if it's taken away? They wouldn't live to be over 100 anyways, so what's the point? Humans are something to be played with, like dolls with reactions. He doesn't bother staying calm and emotionless around humans, preferring to play with them.

Although on the surface he appears normal (I mean, sort of), below that lies an insane and damaged person that will break out whenever it needs to and kill whatever it can. He's basically a psychopath, but he hides it most of the time. But just because he's a psychopath doesn't mean he's "afraid to let people get close to him because he doesn't want to harm them." Geez, how cliche would THAT be?! When you become friends with Callum, he knows what he's getting into and he doesn't care. He only really befriends other Shadow Takers, and they could defend themselves anyways. He enjoys a fight. And if you're a human and you somehow manage to befriend him, so what if he murders you? He doesn't care. (See above.)

Likes:
+ Killing!
+ Candy!
+ Obedience!
+ Leading foolish humans on and then killing them!

Dislikes:
- People who don't do what he asks.
- People who think they can outsmart him or win him over. (They can't.)
- People who stay positive.
- People.
- CERTAIN supernaturals who think that they're just as good as him or better. (They're not.)

Strengths:
+ Being a Shadow Taker is a pretty big strength!
+ He's considered fairly attractive!
+ Loyal to the Shadow Takers & his demon!

Weaknesses:
- What's a weakness?

Weapon: Mostly those large kitchen knives :D

Other: None :)

Demon: Callum's demon, Tom, is a cheerful little dog-like demon that always hovers around Callum. Tom is basically like a pet. He's Callum's best friend, and tries to discourage Callum from killing, although Callum can't really help it. At the end of the day, though, Tom and Callum are best friends and would do anything for each other.

Demon's Appearance: http://c2.api.ning.com/files/YTQf6YqQ...
Best thing I could find D: He's more shadowy and an outline. You feel like you can see him clearly out of the corner of your eye, but when you look at him he's all blurred, like you can't focus on him.

Yes, I know it's anime. But you can't really see him anyways, so what does it matter? :D Just kidding. Sorry. Like I said, it's the best I could find. If anyone finds something better, lemme know...

Name: Averey

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Averey has no preferances on who he gets with. If he thinks your hot, you really have no choice, weather your male or female.

Real Age and Looks: He is a little under 1000 years but he looks around 19 to 21

Appearance:
 photo tumblr_mbtiys9et31re5gsvo1_500_zps220e386a.jpg

Distinct Markings: His eyes are certainly something you won't forget...

History: He can't remember his human history much. Only bits and pieces enough to know he had no family, save for a few distant, distant relatives. All he knew was that he had woken up in a field in some long abandoned land, with a demon - one that was long destroyed by now - watching and protecting his body growling at anything that moved close to him. After taking in his surroundings Averey wondered for a few years only about 4 or 5 hundred, give or take a few. Before long, the kinder, human side to him was lost. He had witnessed so many deaths - and killed quite a number himself - before finally he gave into the new, cold, unfeeling being he had become.

After the many years he finally concluded that it was time to find others of his kind. He followed a pair of spritye demons whom he had managed to ...find... after he had disposed of the demon that had protected him earlier, to where a few other Shadow Takers dwelled. For the most part, he got along well with them all. Meaning they all kept breathing and their hearts kept beating. Though there was one. She was female and quite beautiful; even more-so then most others. He may have said he was in love - if they'd both have been human and the world was a little different. But it wasnt. Love didnt exist and it was a terrible but true fate. He pursed her, none-the-less but she liked him as much as if he were the dirt under her shoes.

He got tired of the game they played after so long and decided he would take her with or with-out her consent; not a smart idea on his part. She had quite a lot of..knives..in her room. The next thing he knew, she had a large, sharp knife in her hand and had cut several slashes across his face.

the shadow taker had left the castle not shortly after the events happened and Ashton had locked himself away in his room in the castle for quite awhile, having needed to have his cuts wrapped up, so he could not see for a while. In the end, his eyesight only cleared up slightly, and now he has a bit of trouble seeing much of anything.

Personality: Ashton is simply unfeeling. He really doesn't care what others thing of him because they cant go against him without knowing they will die. He is quite a secretive persion and is usually locked away in his room though he will go out and about the castle. Ashton absolutely hates when people disobey him - be it human or supernatural.

Likes: Being alone,

Dislikes: Loud or obnoxious people, Bright lights,

Strengths: Eyes. Dispite being partially blind he is still like the other shadow takers, with their telepathic.

Weaknesses: Eyes as he is practically blind since the incedent years before.

Weapons: None. His Telepathic power and demons are enough for him.

Other:

Demon: His...demons are quite small. shey are much like the faeries that roam about the castle but these two are only half the size of his arm. The are kind of like the 'Angle' and 'Devil in old cartoons, except one is cruel and the other just gets worse. Pandora(Light) is very sneaky and is usually out getting him information for him. She is extreamly cruel in order to get the information she is told to find out. Lilith(Dark) is the worse of the twin. Like many of the shadowtakers, she will lash out on anyone for no reason at all, always comeing up with creative ways to do so. Mostly they are both around Averey, but every now and again one will leave to cause chaos for others in the castle.
