As soon as you start I will add it to the groups currently reading so it displays on the group home page.
This will b my first. I really wanted to read Darkness, Tell Us but I dont think kindle sells that one. I also have The Traveling Vampires.
The traveling vampire show is my favorite. There is one thing about laymon that kind of bothers me and its especially bad in the cellar but I dont want to give anything away, so we can talk about it later. I just hope you arent so disgusted with this book that you decide never to read him again because the traveling vampire show and a few others are great.
Glad u said something justin. I read some reviews and I may have to forget about this one. Sorry Cate. I dont think I can handle this one. Shud have done more research. I will not write him off, but im gonna have to pass.
I did like it, but the beginning was too much..when the guy broke into the house and violated the girl. I had a hard time reading that, but other than that it seemed like classic Laymon. I wonder if we will see any of those characters in Beast House. I'd give it a 3 out of 5. It would be a 4 out of 5 if it wasn't for those horrible scenes. I really like the way Laymon writes. The way he writes keeps me entertained. This isn't classic literature or anything like that, but that's what I like about it.
I debated between a 3 and a 4. The thing that bothered me even more is that it didnt really add anything to the story.
One thing I have always liked about laymon though is that no matter how bad of a monster he can think up the humans are always worse.
You're correct, it added nothing to the story. To know that he had once done that to his own child was bad enough. I really do like how Laymon includes horrible human characteristics to add to the horror.
