I haven't read the book yet so I can't say but I just love the T.V.Show. I think that Damon is perfect for Elena even though Stefan is a great since the first time I saw Damon in the show he has been my favorite.My favorite characters in the show are Damon(obviously),Elena, Caroline, Alaric, Stefan, Rebecca and Katherine.
I think the season is going to end with all of them turning back to humans I am not sure it must be given in the book. :)

This is my view.
I am an avid fan of the T.V.Show.I really love it.But the books didn't grab me as the T.V.Show did.But at the same time,I think the characters were more defined in the books.Especially Damon.
And speaking of,I love Damon so much.Though I love Ian Somerhalder,and the T.V.Show Damon,I think the book one is better.
My favourite characters in the book are Damon and Bonnie.And I really wished that they would end up together.
But in the T.V.Show,I don't ship them both,as Bonnie's character is totally different in both.In the show,I like Damon,Klaus,Bonnie,Alaric,Katherine and Anna.I hate Elena in both of them along with Stefan.
