Have you ever had that feeling that someone's watching you? Whether it's that small tingle on the back of your neck or the hair on your arms standing on end, you know that there's someone there. I had that feeling as I walked down Fetterland Street late Tuesday night. Normally, I would have been fine with this, but something about me was on edge that day. Whether it was the approach of my sixteenth birthday or the fact that I had a five page history essay due the next day that I hadn't even started on, I wasn't sure.
Let me back up a bit. My name is Abby Forester. I'm a sophmore at Greenson High, home of the Tigers. I was one of those kids that goes unnoticed and finds themselves at the back of the class and lunchroom. I was fine with my small life. I didn't care whether or not my daddy bought me a new car or who was currently dating. I'd rather just pretend I didn't have to go to school with a bunch of girls and boys that really deserved the title of Drama Queen. Maybe that's what caught Their attention, but to this day I still didn't understand everything that happened or why it did.
Anyway, as I walked back from the library, I kept feeling that feeling of being watched. I thought that I was being paranoid. Besides, for all I knew, it could be a dog or some other creature. A sudden rustle behind me made me jump about a foot in the hair. I stopped in the middle of the sidewalk to give my heart a chance to regroup. I was about to give whoever it was a good sock in the mouth when I turned to see Tammie Houser, standing there with a smug grin on her face. "Tammie?"
"Took you long enough, girl." Tammie drawled. Her grin stayed on her face as I went to lightly hit her and she easily hopped back. She laughed a bit and called "Come on Rosie. Cut her a break."
"Awww..." a third voice said in the darkness. A bush in a nearby yard shook a bit and out emerged Rose Frost with an abundance of leaves in her hair. She skipped over to us, and gave me a little wave. "Hey Abby."
"Do I even want to know what you two are doing here?" I asked with a groan.
"Hmmm....What do you think Rosie?" Tammie asked.
"Nope." Rose said.
"Look, I have to get home." I grumbled and tried to push past them.
"I don't think so. We have permission to abduct you." Tammie said, face now completely serious. I only snorted and shove away her arm. "I'm serious, Abby. Rose and I sprung you tonight."
"How did you manage that, exactly? Mom and dad have me on lock down. Besides," I said as I checked my watch. "It's after nine and that's my curfew because of what happened last week."
"I talked to them already and they agreed to ditch the whole grounding thing if you watch Sarah for the next week." Tammie responded.
"I'd rather take the grounding." I muttered.
"No, you'd rather

(this is the beginning of a spy novel I'm writing....)
