Testing Room
Katherine entered, placing the girl on a white table, cushioned in cloth. She went to her computer and fired up some machines.
"Calm down," Katherine rolled her eyes at both of them. "Alright. Amanda, your first." She fired up another machine, one that would be easy for a telepathic like her. "Step into this box, it's going to bring up objects that you have to interact with."
((OMG I HAVE A GOOD IDEA! so i've been thinking that i should add on to amanda's power; she can see spirits but doesn't know about it yet,and you could find out about it thru these tests!!!!!))
Katherine rolled her eyes and stepped into the box herself. "No weapons." She stepped out and showed a panel to the side. "Listen kids. If you don't complete these tests, we will have to kill you since there would be nothing you offered us with." She spoke the truth.
Katherine went over there and with surprising strength, dragged her into the box, locking it. She typed in a setting. "Just move the objects that will appear around you. It's touch sensitive. Don't use your hands but your mind. If you don't use the extent of your power, the machine will shock you. You understand?"
Amanda Screamed and clawed at the walls in pathetic attempt to stop the doctor. She whimpered as the lock clicked shut. "NO! I'm not playing a part of your cruel game!"
((I know, I'm getting to Rhodie in a second XD))The box shocked her on a low setting. "Don't you want to know what you can really do?" Katherine muttered. She commanded the machine, "Start." The machine whirled and started to show things like a tennis ball. "Move the ball," said a automatic voice.
Katherine walked to Rhodie. "Your file is new, not really clear." she said. She walked to a machine that seemed to be a room of itself. Different things aligned the walls. It was meant for the waves to pick up on all energies in the person and project to objects. The objects respond if they made sense. "Come here," she said.
Amanda began to cry as she shouted, "Go! Run! Get out of this place!" She was trying to tell her to be the first to escape from the horrible place.
Katherine narrowed her eyes. The door was locked and only Katherine knew the code to open it. It was different each time. She took out her gun that she kept on her hip. "In. Now." She said coldly. The machine shocked Amanda again, repeating the instructions. "The more you resist," Katherine yelled to her, "the higher the pain will be. And it won't knock you out, just keep going barely."
((Bailey, the machine was already started, it just kept repeating the instructions to move the tennis ball.))Katherine sighed, firing a shot into the shoulder of it, cutting through the hide. The serum took effect immediately, knocking the girl out.
Amanda reluctantly used her mind powers to inch the green tennis ball to the left. She used as minimal power as she could, hoping the machine would not detect her full potential.
Katherine silenced her with a pressure point. "You have to understand,' she whispered into Rhodie's ears. "I don't want any of you to die." She dragged the girl into the room and locked her in as well, starting up the sensors.
The machine shocked her, for not using the full power. It removed the object and placed a glass of water. Flip the glass upside down into the bowl. it commanded.
The machine that Rhodie was in didn't hurt the girl at all. It seemed to scan her and then fired at the objects, marking the ones there was potential for. "Told you it wouldn't be that bad." Katherine smiled. She looked at the machine and commanded, "Print results and email."The machine did so.
Amanda wanted to cause the doctor as much trouble as possible, so she continued to turn her mind away from the images in front of her.
The machine sensed her reluctance and sent a huge bolt through her, not knocking her out but enough to force her to comply. Katherine let the girl see her face for a flash, which was expressionless. The girl was only hurting herself more. She could be here all day, it was the girl's choice. Katherine didn't mind. She went to the sensor room and unlocked it, unchaining the girl and applying solve to the shoulder. "You can go," she said, watching her while she took some notes.
Katherine raised her eyebrows. "Consider me one of the few doctors who actually wants to help you. Marcus on the other hand..." she drifted off with a smile. "Go on," she said to Rhodie, pointing the door. Then she went near Amanda. "Do the tests and your good to go."
She sighed as the machine shocked the poor girl again. Closing her eyes, she shut down the machine. She took some healing salve from a jar and opened the door to the machine, applying it on the burns, wordlessly. "I don't want to give anyone a chance, a reason to kill you," she said, finishing the application.
Amanda cried from the sting of the ointment on her burns. "What do i n-need to d-do to g-get out of h-here?" She said with a shaky voice
Katherine cupped her face, in a motherly fashion. She tried to play on this part. "All you have to do is complete the tasks. The machine wasn't designed to take slackers."
She breathed heavily, "then you'll let me go?"
((i dont think u actually should tho cause ur gonna find out about my other power))
((i dont think u actually should tho cause ur gonna find out about my other power))
((Katherine is going to call her again after observing her silently. She is going to see something and is going to test her more often. Is that ok?))"Sure," she said. A half lie. She would bring the girl back here if she had to test her more. See if there was anything more.
Katherine restarted the machine and stepped back. "Go on," she said calmly to Amanda.((Eeew guys, just ew XD and sure but remember Katherine still has to meet Marcus as well.))
Amanda remained emotionless. she was stuck on an exercise and the machine shocked her again and again.
She saw the girl had reached her limit and turned of the machine right away. She took the girl out by the arm gently and showed her the jar of healing salve. "Take as much as you need. You'll heal right away."
Katherine inclined her head, studying her, kindness feigning in her eyes so she looked motherly. "Next time, I'll make sure the machine will shut down if you are stuck. Ok?"She jotted more notes down.
