Jeff Horton | 4 comments Hello!

Thanks for the opportunity to post here. May I post reviews for my other novels as well?

The Way of Nacor (Tales of Eden, #1) by Jeff W. Horton
Reviews of: The Way of Nacor

"Home is all the sweeter when you cannot return to it. "The Way of Nacor" is a youth fantasy in the Tales of Eden Series follows four struggling youths as they find themselves on Zantura, and what stands between them and the home they so desperately want to seek is a malevolent being called Sarin. Against all odds, they must see their way through. "The Way of Nacor" is worth considering for young readers, highly recommended."

Midwest Book Review

"The Way of Nacor: Tales of Eden" by Jeff Horton follows the Seekers children Rachel, Michael, Jessie, and Eli on an adventure to an alien land called Zantura. The children make friends with the natives (called Rephaim), and find out that the Relic of Nacor can get them back to Earth. So they set out to find it, with help from Rephaim who want to be rid of Sarin, a fallen being who has ruled Zantura by fear for as long as anyone can remember. There are many struggles on the road to the Relic, and Sarin isn’t one to give up power. But could the mysterious being known as Nacor be more than the myth the people of Zantura had lost faith in?

I enjoyed this book. The scenes in the cave are excellent. The Biblical themes have been incorporated very well without being preachy, which is great. Some of the Rephaim talked differently at first, and gradually shifted to match. This confused me a little. There were also places where I felt that readers should have been able to discover, on their own, the reason why characters felt a certain way, rather than having the author explain. Scenes throughout this book that involved the children caring for one another moved me to tears, nearly every time. The plot twists and turns after the Hall of Portals were very unexpected. Overall, a very entertaining and heart-felt read that spins worthwhile themes into a rich tapestry.

C.A. James (cajamesoftexas) | 2 comments Just published - family-friendly, Christian themed novel: SWEETIE'S SONG - A LOVE STORY, by. C. A. James. Sweetie's Song: A love story

NEWS RELEASE

Can a novel without vampires, zombies, werewolves,
violence, or erotica succeed in today’s book world?
C. A. James is determined to swim against that tide.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS – The publishing world is awash with novels about vampires, zombies, werewolves, violence, or – as in the case of such recent bestsellers as Fifty Shades of Grey – erotica. Our movies and television shows often follow that theme. While such forms of fiction may have their place, it can be a relief to find a book providing a wholesome story that imparts a positive message. Sweetie’s Song: A love story, by C. A. James, offers a reprieve from what has become the “new normal” in contemporary fiction.

Sweetie’s Song tells the story of a grieving couple who, in a misguided attempt to shelter themselves from further pain, have shut themselves off from the world around them. This strategy is sorely tested when they are confronted by four innocent souls that offer unconditional love.

There are two distinct audiences for the book. Adults, particularly wives, mothers, and grandmothers have the maturity and life experience to appreciate its bittersweet message. Children, reading at another level, delight in the story’s whimsical nature. In either case, the role of love as a healing process is made apparent.

C. A. James is the pen name of the two coauthors of Sweetie’s Song. They, like the characters in their story, live in a cottage in the Texas Hill Country. Between them they have had ten previous books and more than 360 articles published.

A portion of the proceeds of the proceeds of the book are being donated to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a 4-Star charity serving U. S. military personnel wounded or injured in service to our nation, and their families (http://www.fallenheroesfund.org/About...).

CYBERSP@CE TRILOGY
The Cybersp@ce trilogy follows the Reynolds family as humanity takes its first steps out into the cosmos.

CYBERSP@CE:

Nick Reynolds, a former NSA analyst now working for Cyber Command, has found his workload growing, as cyber attacks against the United States begin increasing exponentially. When the world approaches the brink of World War III, however, he comes to realize that he must find whatever means he can, however unorthodox, to prevent a massive cyber attack that will cripple the United States, and trigger an apocalypse.

FRONTIERS:
Hank, an enthusiastic, civilian test pilot, is also Nick Reynolds' son. Endowed with an intellectual capacity unequaled by anyone else on Earth, Hank is thrilled when he is offered the opportunity to put his gift to good use by constructing and then test piloting humanity's first, interstellar spacecraft, a ship based on technology first discovered by his parents. He's about to take humanity's first test flight out of the solar system to Alpha Centauri, but someone doesn't want him to succeed.

NEW BEGINNINGS:
The Earth Space Alliance is ready to establish humanity's first off-world colony in another star system after the Earth is nearly destroyed. Nicole Reynolds has been selected to lead the expedition that will select a new home for human beings to live. She will risk everything to establish a foothold for humanity on a strange, alien planet. Only by fending off hostile attacks by an alien race, and by overcoming her own past, will she succeed.

Cybersp@ce is available today.

J.C. Lamont (jclamont) | 1 comments Hey all,

My name is JC Lamont, and I wrote a supernatural fantasy for teens and young adults (which I started writing as a young adult). I left home at 17 years old after years of my father (a pastor) using scripture to "prove" that God couldn't look at me, let alone hear my prayers. Obviously, I never bothered reading the Bible because I "knew" it was just God's way of condemning me, and telling me I wasn't good enough.

In an odd turn of events, I accidently discovered the God of love in the pages of the Old Testament, and immediately bought a Bible, which I then read in 6 months. Reading it that fast made me realize it was ONE story, and an action-packed, battle-ridden love story at that. But I knew that even if I stood on my head and sang “Read the Bible in six months to discover God’s love” to the tune of “Let It Go,” I wouldn’t convince anyone to do so. So instead, I spent the next several years writing a fantasy-inspired version of the Bible (through the eyes of angels and demons) called Prophecy of the Heir.

Anyway, the first chapter of Prophecy of the Heir is called Dawn of Shadows, and it’s a 20,000 word novella that is FREE right now on Amazon (ends 3/20). Here’s the link if you are interested in checking it out -- http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AW18F0E/

Thanks for giving me the chance to meet you all!
