I just finished this book the other day. It pulled me in right away just like the first book an I couldn't put it down. I love how the author makes it look like the killer could be several different people so you don't really find out until the end.
I have been a fan of Kay Scarpetta for at least 15 years and find her older books more of a treat than the newer ones. The earlier Kay just seems like a more comfortable old friend

I absolutely love the kay Scarpetta series, although to be fair I've given the odler books more of a chance. Taking my time with the new ones but still undecided as to which I prefer. Suspense is really kept up throughout the book so you are kept on the edge of your seat. Patricia Cornwell definitly my favourite author of all time by far !!!
I guess you guys have read a lot more of the series than I have. I've only read the first two books so far. So does the writing style change? I think what i've read is very well written and quite enjoyable.
The writing style is fine and that carries on. For me the storyline just became foo flawed for me and I found I did not like the characters as well.
