Trish (trishria) I am fine if we pick this book choice and need to extend the date to meet. This sounds like a really great read I plan to vote yes for this great book choice.

Danielle I thing you actually mean A Discovery of Witches and I don't think it's a good idea to pick a book that almost 600 pages long when you guys need two months to get through one that's half that.

Trish (trishria) Danielle I am fine with whatever everyone wants to read. This book sounds like a great read we can discuss this book choice at your next meeting. I agree with you if people do want to read it they will have to agree to read it in a timely manner. Patti belongs to three book clubs, I belong to three book clubs and Carlene belongs to two book clubs. Carlene and I have our book club on the 28 th of Feb. and we have vacation the week before on Thurs. the 21st and Valentine's Day the Thursday before that on the 14 th. It really is the Valentine's Day Holiday and the school break that is causing us to extend out so far not the length of the book. Hopefully we won't lose 2 Thursdays in the middle of the month back to back too often.

Trish (trishria) www.bookbub.com
Downloaded today's free ebook: 'A Hint of Frost' by Hailey Edwards
The Aranae Nation
A futurist fantasy book with ghosts in it.
240 pages
Every time I see a book that might be a possible book suggestion for our romance book club, and if it is free, and if I thought if it sounded like a good read, I thought that I would download it to help me remember some future book suggestions.
New to book bub appears like I get multiple free ebooks daily. I will probably find myself downloading a lot of book suggestions. I know the offer is only good for a limited time so that is why I am telling everyone about the link in case they liked the book also and wanted to download it. I download it right away to be safe. Doesn't sound like there are any vampires or werewolves in it. Danielle it says that this is a 'mapped romance' are you familiar with this term?

Trish (trishria) We picked Thursday, April 11th for our work book club. We had to skip meeting in March due to Holy Thursday and the Easter holiday and school vacation. Also one of our coworkers has a retirement party on Thursday, March 21st.

Trish (trishria) My girlfriend recommended us reading books by the author Karen White.

Cool! Pick a couple of books that look interesting and we'll stick them on the schedule!

message 8: by Trish (new)

Trish (trishria) If you can find some books by Karen White to look at for our next meeting that would be a great idea to see if the other members would like to read any. The idea came from the retired librarian from Chango where Carlene and I work. She heard about me being in the romance book club from the retired librarian from the high school who is in the evening book club at the Malta library. Did you get all that! I think it is great to hear that people are talking about our romance book club and giving us book suggestions :-)

Love 'The Shoemaker's Wife'!

Trish (trishria) Cindy Gile would like to suggest we read the book 'March'. Could you please get a copy of 'March' by Geraldine Brooks for us to look at for our next book club meeting.
