I blog, about various info, but mostly about what I'm writing. Currently I'm blogging my process of writing my latest book and whether or not I'm going to pursue tradtional publishing (and the how-to for other writers) or self-publishing like my others books.

Luke (papaluke) I'm really liking some of these blog designs, how much has everyone been spending? (if anything) I just set up a wordpress but haven't got much on it yet... (one post knocked up today!) http://lukeotley.wordpress.com/

message 6: by Megan (new)

Megan Gordon | 7 comments You can get a nice one for $40 or less. Just Google cheap Wordpress themes.

message 7: by Luke (new)

Luke (papaluke) Yeah the main thing for me is simplicity anyway, for now (as i'm broke) i'm just going to buy the domain name

message 8: by Megan (new)

Megan Gordon | 7 comments There are good free ones too. Just poke around.

E.J. Eisman (ej_eisman) | 7 comments I used to love to blog but I can't seem to find subjects to talk about (I had pleanty to write about when I was divorcing). Now I've got my head up my ass editing my next book. And I'm working on a video about book advertising/self-promotion for the indie author.

I have wordpress which I like. I've intergrated it into my website (http://ejeisman.com) so the update appears immediately on my site. I use different catagories to list my books, for answering questions from vistors (ask the author), for current book reviews as well as blogs (Latest News). Maybe I'm mixing-up blogs with Latest News.

What topics do you talk about?

message 10: by E.J. (new)

E.J. Eisman (ej_eisman) | 7 comments I post most things on Facebook. I have 5 accounts (one as myself as author), my three books and one as a sexist lead character from one of my books. Guess which gets the most traffic? Yes. I posted prose on the female posterior and I get the most views of any of my sites. I find it funny that my fictional character gets more attention.

message 11: by Luke (new)

Luke (papaluke) I somewhat melodramatically narrate my own experiences. I've got quite a lot of articles I could write about (one about how I ended up wandering around my old primary school at 3am, stuff like that) but it's deadline time for Uni so don't have time at present.

You should be locked up for fraud according to facebook rules ;)

message 13: by E.J. (new)

E.J. Eisman (ej_eisman) | 7 comments Perhaps. They are all spawn pages from my one account so as they are a product of me there is no intentional malice. All though the locked up thing might not be so bad under the right circumstances and the right person. LOL!

Alice Paladin (alicepaladin) | 3 comments I blog - it's all about writing at the moment, but it'll eventually just be a combination of whatever's on my mind, reviews, articles - and writing too, of course.

I'm not much into blogging but I do try to keep up on it on this site. It's really only to keep my local fans updated on what's going on with my book writing. Other than that, I never really got into it much. I don't really see the point.

message 18: by Robert (new)

Robert Spake (ManofYesterday) | 14 comments I've blogged on and off for the past couple of years but I never really got into the rhythm of it. That is until I decided to write a serial superhero story. I post one chapter a week at the moment.

message 20: by Nyla (last edited May 06, 2013 06:28AM) (new)

Nyla Naseer (nylanaseer) I have just started my blog, I specialise in short posts about my life and observations (moving on to writing angst).I aim to do about three posts a week. My blog also moves to my GR profile, but no-one seems to read it from there.

My first fiction book is out (free on Smashwords: The Pavement Gardener). I've written another book called 'Digital Downsize).

I tried seeing if there was interest in reading my academic work (of which there is a lot) on my blog. Unsurprisingly not that much interest in lots of referencing! I might revive this...all about urban regeneration and different justice issues since...will probably move this to another blog!

Please have a look at my blog and let me know if we can mutually link!!By the way my blog is on wordpress!
