River sat on the river bank sunning himself and gazing into the water. The sun wasn't the best substance for a dragon, and water always felt nice, but once and a while, a water dragon had to get out. River twitched his tail and hummed contently.

Maroon flew in from flying. She landed carefully on the ground and wet her self so that she does not get burnt.

River watched her bathe before he slid in himself, flicking his tail as a propeller. "Greetings, Maroon. Good hunting?"

She looked over at him and shook her head, "Yes, great hunting." She slid into the river more.

"That's always good." He raised his head and plunged it into the water, the rest of his body followed. He twisted his body around and snapped a fish in his jaws, swallowing it whole. He came back to the surface to talk to Maroon again. "It is good that the fish are still in plentiful. But I fear not for long. Humans continue to hunt our fish...Anyways." He dove beneath the surface again.

Maroon nodded and dove under the water and caught a fish against her jaws. She swallowed it whole and came back up. She walked onto the land and curled up into ta ball. She slept.

River eyed her warily, unsure of why she'd sleep on the ground right there, but he pushed the thought out of his head and silently dove under the water to hunt once more.

She slept all afternoon. When she awoke, she walked to the river and bathed herself. Then coming out, she opened her wings and started take off. She hovered for a minute and then lifted into the air.

River had been napping in the mud, but when he felt the waves above him from Maroon leaving, he opened an eye and watched her go. Tired of sleeping, River opened both of his eyes and turned to swim towards the sea.

Maroon flew around in the sky. She felt the wind graze against her wings. She loved to be up here, but she always knew that if she did not get any water on her scales for a long time, her scales would crack up.

River looked up at Maroon one last time before entering the wide, blue, beautiful sea. He raised his tail and smacked the water, splashing water everywhere.

She then flew back down to the ground and entered the beautiful blue sea. She smiled in her head.
