Granted, I liked the movie version of Anna Karenina even though it was atrocious to the book simply because it was a visual feast. So maybe that's a trade off here too?
Okay. I don't know about anyone else, but I am much more forgiving about modern interpretations (as in revising it to modern times, modern dress, modern speech, etc.) than straight up adaptations. I guess I give extra credit points for the updating.
But yes, it does sound like it should be at the very least interesting.

Interesting. Although, I would think most people would see it because they read the book (maybe not--if they're looking for a way to know the book without having to actually read it). That's a lot of presumption though.
Now I want to revisit the book. hmmmmmm
