When the earthquake and tsunami struck Japan on 3/11/11, many people were a little bit unsure of how safe Tokyo was. The news about the radiation was not exactly reassuring. Some people headed further south to Osaka or even out of the country for a time. It was dubbed an evacuvacation.

Perhaps that word has appeared in other places where people evacuating were not exactly refugees.

Mathom, one of those Old English words redefined by Tolkien. I think it definitely beats using 'junk' or 'trash'.
