I want everyone to give our newest mod, Kathy, the warm welcome she deserves as she takes on this new position. Kathy has exhibited maturity and dedication within the group and will undoubtedly continue as she assumes her new role within the group.
Congratulations, Kathy, and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Hello everyone!
Before I begin, I would like to point out that it is 7am in Pennsylvania and I am sleep deprived at the moment, so I apologize for any typos, mistakes, etc.
Anyway, as many of you may know, the group has decided to read Clockwork Angel as a weekly read. The discussion topic opened yesterday, as that was the start date of the discussion, but no one has responded. I have also received several PMs stating that people were willing to participate, but had not had the opportunity to purchase/borrow the book on such short notice. Therefore, there will be no weekly read this week. Clockwork Angel reading and discussion will begin next Sunday, 1/27. In the future, all weekly reads will be announced nearly 2 weeks in advance to ensure that anyone who wishes to participate may join in the discussion.
Thank you for your time and patience,
The Mods

Wow. We've really been slacking off regarding Monthly and Weekly Reads. We've received many questions regarding whether or not these were still taking place, and the answer is: Yes. We have just been pathetic excuses for moderators and haven't gotten around to posting any recently.
But, we have agreed to make a conceited effort to post Monthly and Weekly Reads routinely (I promise this will never happen again). So, to get us back into the swing of things, the mods have selected two weekly reads (5/12 and 5/19) and two monthly reads which will occur in June. Yes, we understand that there are two monthly reads taking place in the same month - this is intentional. This is just a beta-test and may not be continued if it fails miserably.
It would be a good idea to head over to the Sign-Ups folder to see our new Monthly and Weekly Reads, which, hopefully, will appear to a large audience. Don't forget to sign up to participate in the discussion and buy your book before we begin reading!
Thanks,
The Mods

Hello Everyone! The Staff have recently taken the time to update some of our initial threads which explain the main components of the group and whatnot. In the process, we made several major revisions to the Monthly and Weekly Reads, which all members are strongly encouraged to review. In order to familiarize yourself with these changes, please take a few minutes to read this thread.
Thank you!
Hi,The moderators and I have a question for you all. You can answer this via pm or in the chat thread if you wish. Lately our group has been very inactive, why do you think that is? Follow up question: do you have any suggestions for the group that would perhaps cause more activity in the group?

Hi Everyone!THE RACE TO READ NEEDS MORE PARTICIPANTS!! If you have not signed up go here and read about it! Then, sign up for a team (not that I'm impartial or anything, but the Percy Jackson team is going to win, so you may want to join that one while you still can)! It's going to be so much fun! Feel free to invite your friends to join the group, and don't forget to add a message suggesting they join the race!
Have a great week!
