Background: Had his memory wiped six months ago when he was brought to the penitentiary because of his Z. He still remembers certain things about himself, but most of his old life is a mystery to him.

Z: He's a Tech. This means he's naturally good with technology and can understand any electronics inner workings at a touch.

Personality: Cold, quiet, cynical, and has a really dry sense of humor. He's very intelligent. He lacks patience when it comes to dealing with most people, but he generally is able to hide his frustration or anger behind a composed mask.

Background: Crimson was always the odd one out in her (according to her mother) 'picturesque' family. Her mother got remarried when she was eleven and she had no say in it. Her mother was so desperate for money and a high quality lifestyle, she'd do just about anything. Her step-father repeatedly raped and brutalized Crimson four for years and her mother did nothing about it. Her step-sister was no better, denying every word that came out of her mouth.

Z: Combustion. She can manipulate the molecules in objects/non-objects and enlarge them. Basically, making them implode or explode. It takes quite a toll on her,however, and the first time they tested her, it knocked her out for almost a week.Lately, the scientists have been forcing her to test on animals.
How Z was activated (some are through traumatic events which may have a large Z that is then forever minimalized.): On her 15th birthday, her step-father decided to give her a little "present" but this time, she fought him back. She never did considering he was three times her size but something in her just burst. Or at least he did anyway and nearly killed him.
Other: She has a multi-personality disorder and its extremely difficult to distinguish her being geuine or her just wanting to mess with your head.
Personality: Crimson has a bit of a complex mind. She likes to observe people at first and know what makes them tick, then use it against them later. She's not really anyone's friend but she knows its good to have people on your side either way. One thing you can on, she'll always tell you what you don't want to hear. She just lives off power and control.She has absolutely no conscience but she's also not entirely impossible to crack.

Description: Kara looks very young, like she's twelve, or maybe fourteen. She has bright orange waves of hair that reach almost down to her waist. Each morning, Kara takes a half hour to gently brush and braid her hair. She hates it being loose, but likes it too much to cut it. She has grey eyes full of naive belief in humanity, very pale skin, and a small face. Her voice is high and quiet, and her speech is often comparable to that of a precocious, overly-intelligent child.

Her curiousity and thirst for knowledge is insatiable, she is incredibly smart, at least as far as academics are concerned. Along with her "peculiarities," Kara is unfortunately tempermental. Anything can set her off, and any mood (good or bad) is liable to change in an instant. As she is very sensitive, Kara is easily hurt. With that sensitivity though, she is quick to pick up on other people's feeling; if they're angry, sad, happy... However how she attempts to comfort or interact with these people is often poorly-recieved.

In her mind, she is a circus freak, and finds herself very alone.

Background: When Kara was litte, she was originally treated for schizophrenia. After a disasterous first grade, her parents decided to homeschool her. When Kara was ten and managed to figure out how to change the tv channels via her ability, her father realized it was some sort of ability, and took her off the medication, much to her mother's dismay. After two years, with her parents frustrated by their inability to help her, Omega approached under the pretense that they were there to help. Her parents handed her over, and she hasn't seen them or her sister in the seven years since.

Her mother was always very overprotective, and Kara despised her for that. They had a rather strained relationship, especially as Kara related best to her father.

Background: He's one of the youngest doctors at the penitentiary and because of this,is usually patronized.

Personality: Aaron has brilliant mind and was the top of his class at Harvard. However, he is mostly doing minor work because he's not yet "fully experienced" Knowing that his abilities are not being utilized, well it makes him temperamental and a bit reckless.
Other: Raped another patient a few months ago.

Arden stands at 5'7", with gorgeous long brown hair that seems almost red when it catches the sunlight. She has large sea foam blue eyes fringed by dark eyelashes. Her skin has a healthy glow and her lips are a light peachy shade. With a slim, soft body, she is very agile.

Background: Ari had a very normal life, despite her telepathy with her brother. She loved her parents, she loved her brother, and vice-versa. Her parents knew of, but were unbothered by her and her brother's harmless ability. Her brother left school early one day, seeming very upset. About thirty minutes later, she began to hear, "Don't come home, Ari." Over and over in her head. So she waited and then went home. She couldn't hear Jack anymore. And then those goons from the penitentiary came and took them away. Jack later explained that their parents were dead.

Personality: Arden is near-scarily protective of her brother, even though she's younger. Her sharp wit lends her tongue a bit of poison that most people cannot handle. Otherwise, she is kind-- a bit too logically inclined though, except when dealing with Jack or those she loves. Her sense of humor can be a bit dark, but nevertheless enjoyable. Loyal, she would die for those who would do the same for her. She and Jack have a steady banter in their relationship.

Jack is exactly two inches taller than Ari, standing at a not-so-impressive 5'9". Shoulders broad and body well-muscled, the boy is still attractive. Sparking sea foam blue eyes peak out from underneath thick eyebrows and long dark lashes. The structure of his jaw is still very angular, though he retains a bit of baby fat in his cheeks. Brown hair flops just so over his forehead.

Background: Jack kinda got involved with the wrong people. One of his friends got ahold of some serious paraphernalia and overdosed. Furious, Jack went to approach the dealers and asked them to stay off of school property. He came home from school early a week later, only to find that his parents were dead and the dealers were in his house. They started beating him, nearly to death. All he would say, in a very small voice, was, "No, Ari. Don't come in, Ari." It got to the point where the leader got irritated and they stepped outside, only to find a brunette girl who look strikingly similar to Jack huddled on the sidewalk. "When, Jackie?" She was whispering. Unfortunately, one of the dealers was the son of one of the penitentiary employees and recognized that the twins were mentally linked. Their parents were dead, so they contacted the penitentiary and snatched the two up.

If he feels threatened by someone, he becomes a very nasty person to be around. He doesn't like feeling like he has to compete for Arden's attention. Otherwise, he's a pretty laid back guy with a good sense of humor. He can defend in a fight and he's very proud.

Background: Was born into a dysfunctional family. Her dad abandoned her and her mother when she was four and her mom struggled to take care of her working 2 jobs. So she was kind of neglected as well she learned to be independent. Because of her dad abandoning her she's never completely trusted anyone. She has a short temper and used to get into fights all the time at school. She recently was taken here.

Personality: Echo is very determined and stubborn, she has trouble trusting or even talking to people and is extremely independent she hates looking weak. She has a very short temper and it doesn't take a lot to set her off. She get's into fights all the time.

Background: Normal guy has always tried to blend in. He's a skater used to go down to the skatepark all the time until everything changed. He's also a musician, he can play guitar and sing, very well. He's done a lot of busking on the street to try and help support his mum, he only has his guitar because of his dad, who passed away 7 years ago.

Family: Mother and Sister

Z: The ability to turn things to ice. However he's had this ability for 7 years now so he's gotten stronger in many ways. He can now freeze the water particles in the air which he can use to create bridges and objects, freeze things at a long distance and even freeze himself and move around and everything like normal.

How Z was activated: 7 years ago his family went on holiday into the mountains to do some skiing and snowboarding. Alec and his dad decided to go try some bigger slopes on their snowboards, when they were going down a freak avalanche happened, they were both caught in it, Alec was barely pulled out alive, and his fathers body was never found. However the snow did activate his Z.

Other: Always wears a beanie, very hipster like, doesn't talk much.

Personality: He keeps to himself for the most part, doesn't like talking much, the only way he can express himself is music. Outside of his singing he doesn't talk much at all. However he does have friends, friends he would risk his life for if it came to that. The thing about not talking is he takes in so much more of what others say and can really begin to see who they are on the inside, he understands people. He's a romantic, he can't help that he's always had a taste for love in the world, even though he can freeze stuff and all the stuff others can do, he still believes that Love is the strongest thing in our lives.
