Dare stood by Oswins seat, his gaze set at the floor. Part of him considered turning and heading back to his cell, just to annoy Oswin.
Kara's mouth formed a small 'O' before her face burst into an enormous smile. She nodded and held one of the dolls out to her friend. The other, she hugged to her chest and twisted back and forth. "Yes. And Sofie."
Dare rolled his eyes at the sight of the dolls. He'd never had much patience for Kara. Or anyone.
Kara stuck out her bottom lip, pouting, but reluctantly agreed, "Fine..." with a dramatic sigh. She was not Dare's biggest fan. "Only because you asked nice." Clearly, she missed the sarcasm.
Crimson burst through the door that led to the common room where they were suppose to "socialize" and interact. To her, it was just another holding cell. As she walked past the tables, she could see the girl whose eye she almost mutalized.Bitch, deserved it. Crimson could feel her gaze on her as she sat down at the table with the few people she could stand talking with. She looked up slightly at Kara. Some red-headed girl who looked like she could pass for a five year old,"Aren't you a little old to be playing with dolls?" She asked casually.
Kara had just started explaining what Oswin had missed when Crimson sat down. At the rude comment, she shut up like a clam and set the dolls in her lap. Her gaze was mournful as she looked up at Oswin. It was the look of someone who had lost something prescious, but couldn't quite remember what it was.
If the girls started to argue, Dare was definitely going to make a run for it. They'd no doubt draw the attention of the entire contents of the commons. He glanced from Oswin to Crimson, preparing for the possible fight.
Crimson gave a Kara a little grin, with absolutely no hint of kindness behind it. She loved messing with her. It was almost too easy. "Damn, Kara. It was just a question. Calm down."
Crimson looked at Oswin,a smug look passed her face and she gave a nonchalant little shrug,"Nope." She said simply and turned her head back to Kara,"See? That wasn't so hard now was it?"
"You are mean!" Kara burst out, leaping from her seat. Crimson's words hurt. Her eyes became suspiciously watery, and she and her dolls fled from the scene.
Dare watched Kara run away and wished he could do the same. Knowing Oswin, she'd just shove him right back onto the couch. He'd have to wait for her to be distracted further by Crimson to leave.
Crimson held her hands up in mock surrender, staring Oswin down,"Hey, your the one encouraging her to act like a child. Not me. She needs to grow up." She said in a concerned tone, as if she actually cared.
Dare stared wide eyed at Oswin's hand. "Alright, let's all just calm down." He got to his feet, standing between the two girls. He hated himself so much in that moment. He was supposed to be staying out of this, fleeing to another area of the penitentiary, not throwing himself into the middle.
Crimson gave Dare a playful smile,"Aw look at Darius trying to be the mediator." She wiped away an invisible tear.
Dare clenched his jaw and his eyes took on a crazed size. "We're already pulling the Darius card?" He ignored the speaker announcing Oswins departure.
Crimson looked at him in confusion, playing dumb,"We'll that's your name isn't it?" Rolling her eyes, her attention turned to the loud, crackling speaker. She heard Oswin's name being announced and a little smirk appeared on her lips,"Have fun!"
Dare held up his hands, looking away from Crimson. "I'm out of here." With that, he strode back towards his cell, the anger coming off of him in waves.
"Oh,come on! I was joking! " She called out to him as he left but her words were a bit stifled with her laughter. These people obviously didn't have a sense of a humor.
Maria glanced around and yawned softly. Her long hair sticking out everyware from sleep
Maria sat down lazily and rubbed her eyes
"Trying to flatter me?" Crimson, fiddling with her hair, barely looked up to acknowledge Grant but a coy smile slowly appeared on her face.
" I think that you didn't answer my question." Crimson finally looked up at him with a taunting smirk, leaning back against the edge of the cool, metal table. She was noticed the hint of discomfort on face and raised a brow,"You gonna faint or somethin? Better to warn me now so I can move."
Crimson snickered at his macho demeanor and folded her arms across her chest," Completely head over heels." She said, her voice dripping with sarcasm,"You satisfy your ego yet?"
Crimson chuckled a bit, tilting her head in mock confusion,"What in the world are you talking about?"
Crimson rolled her eyes slightly and was about to respond when Oswin walked through the door looking liked she'd taken a brutal experimentation, to Crimson's delight of course. She was obviously trying to conceal her exhaustion as she walked right past them. She couldn't help but laugh a bit,"Well didn't she look delightful?"
"Darius Dorian to gate 5, please." Dare cringed, his eyes flickering up to the speakers on the wall. Of course they had to say his name when everyone was in the commons.
Dare craned his neck to look down at Marc, his shaggy hair casting an eerie shadow across his slightly crazed eyes.
"Yeah, I'll get back here as soon as I can," he said, returning Oswins hug as naturally as he could manage. He wasn't used to so much affection. He could used to it. As he walked away from the group he murmured, "If I even remember this day."
Maria got up and walked over "Yes?"
Dare entered the commons, noticing Oswin and Co. hanging around in the center. He rolled his eyes, ducking his head, hoping they ignored him.
Maria blinked "umm...okay..." she shifted on her feet uneasily
Crimson entered the room and already felt tension hanging in the air, like there was a huge elephant in the room. That's when she noticed Oswin and Dare getting into it and having absolutely no filter, she felt the need to break it,"I see I came in at a great time, huh?"
Dare ignored Crimson, giving Oswin a look that suggested she lacked intelligence. "When has my memory not been wiped, Oswin?"
Dare sighed, rubbing his eyes. He'd much prefer to be in his cell resting or glaring at the ceiling, not entertaining the other teens. He hated the feeling of having his memory wiped, it made him feel so... vulnerable.
"James and Arden Harthorn to Gate 7, please."Ari's shoulders tensed and her other hand flew to her brother's. "Jackie..." Her eyes bemoaned a panic that she couldn't quite express with words.
"It's okay..." Jack soothed. He wasn't sure though. "We'll be okay..."
"What's wrong?" Kara asked, slipping a hand into one of Oswin's. She looked sad, and Oswin being sad made Kara sad.
Arden smoothed her nerves over. "Well. We'll be seeing you. I mean, unless they blind us."Jack rolled his eyes, dragging her out of the room.
Crimson leaned casually against the wall, her foot propped up behind her. She'd been trying her best to tune everyone out when she heard Marc. She lifted her head slightly, answering before Kara could,"Kara's fine....right Kara?" She smiled calmly in her direction.
Arden wandered back in, looking haggard and rather irritated. Jack was fussing over her, seeming to to know exactly what hurt. There were burns scattered all over her body."--and I begged them to stop but they wouldn't! Arden I'm so sorry, I couldn't escape and they were hurting you and--"
"James Harthorn, shut up!" She snapped.
Dare watched the twins bicker, noticing the damage that had been done to Arden. He never looked like that when he came back from the lab. What the hell were they even doing to him in there? "Is there a reason you're not letting me go back to my cell?" he asked, looking to Oswin.
Kara twisted her hands together, and waited until Crimson's to answer Marc's question. "I'm okay," she mumbled, just loud enough for Marc to hear.
((Sweetheart, can you post more than that? It's really hard to respond to just two words, and I know that I at least have no idea what your character is even doing right now.))
