He wrote a book with English, Italian and Esperanto editions called In Search for the Perfect Language. Parts are not easy reading. I've look at the English and Esperanto editions.

That's funny that his book was translated to Esperanto. Umberto Eco was, at one time, dismissive of Esperanto. He claimed that it wasn't a "genuine" language, because one couldn't make love in it. :D
He later changed his mind when he had a female student respond to him by saying that yes, you could make love in Esperanto because she'd done it. :)
I guess it's genuine, then! :)

Approximately one thousand couples have married after meeting in Esperanto conferences. Most have gone on to have children (so there is less than one percent of one percent of native Esperanto speakers from birth among us). I know several of them. I guess you can make love in Esperanto. To tell the truth, I'm certain!
The things you learn at Goodreads! I'm going to add that as a conversation topic at parties. :oD
