When they had started to date and stuff in the first book, I thought it was really cute but more like little kid cute. I could tell Cassia wasn't really into it and it just seemed like two little best buddies that are really really close to each other.

Agree with that. It was sweet but it just wasn't meant to be. Comparatively, Ky and Cassia had more passion in their relationship which was amazing. Sadly, Xander didn't stand a chance.
