What does everyone think of it? Do you read any or are you a strictly fiction person? If you do read it, what are some of your favorite non-fiction books?

Hey, great idea, Holly!!

I'll occasionally delve into a non-fiction book or two.. it's been several years, though.

Thanks Dustin!

I haven't read many non-fiction books, but I've started to get into them a little more lately.

Awesome opinion Chuck! :-)

Janie Johnson I'm not huge on Non fiction, never have been, but I totally agree that they can be full of knowledge for those who want to learn new things. For me, I like to read for fun, non fiction is for learning lol I got my fill of that in school. J/K on that, I just prefer fiction.

That's awesome Janie. I used to prefer strictly fiction as well, but lately non-fiction has grown on me.

GeneralTHC I have all ways liked both. Non-fiction has the benefit of being fun long after you close the book. I've taught myself so many things e.g. music, foreign languages, science, etc... I couldn't imagine a world without it.

I couldn't imagine it, either, Chuck. I really should read more non-fiction, actually. Right now, I really want to read Memoirs of a Geisha (it's on my 2013 to-read list, in fact,) and a good biography on Ayn Rand.

Janie- I agree that reading should be fun.:) But if you find one that's particularly interesting to you, and it's done well, I think it could be a fun experience for you.

J.S. Bailey (jsbailey) I like ghost stories that claim to be nonfiction.

It makes Adam seem like a Boy Scout campfire story in comparison.

It has a rather horrifying account of a Black Mass that decided to burn itself into my mind forever and ever. But I'm glad I read it, because it really helped me write Rage's Echo. :)

message 19: by GeneralTHC (new)

GeneralTHC I love that kind of stuff, but it's certainly not what I think of when I hear the word non-fiction, lol.

I am so happy that it serves as inspiration to write your story, J.S!:)

Janie Johnson Wow better than Adam? I might have to check into that one JS. That is hard to believe since Adam made its way up on my favorites list.

Janie- it's the very book that's mentioned throughout Adam. The one that the Father stresses the importance of being read in its entirety.
