Overhearing Nate's question, Kara ran off a few numbers, GPS coordinates. She was struggling to keep up with the fast speed they were running at and was slowly falling further and further behind.
Kara looked confused by his question. She thought it was pretty obvious, but she answered, "Running..."
Arden tripped gracefully over her own feet before a hand shot out and caught her elbow. "Be careful!" Jack reprimanded.
"We need a solid plan." The adrenaline was draining from the escape and Dare was now acutely aware of the throbbing in his bloody, broken right hand.
"Oh." Kara smiled. Her voice bobbled slightly as she ran. "Listening to the satelites. It's so clear out here!" She looked happy out here, in the forest, with no walls in sight.
Dare still didn't feel safe, but it wasn't like they'd even be able to manage running farther. Everyone was too drained from fighting or exerting their powers. He dropped down in front of the stream, sticking his hand under the cool water.
Kara gratefully stopped, and promptly laid on the ground. "Yes. They have so many stories! And all the different languages!" She giggled and babbled something that sounded vaguely French.
He rolled his eyes and wordlessly removed his hand from the stream, presenting it to her as if it were nothing. The pain was excruciating of course, but there was no point advertising it, especially not to Oswin.
Crimson leaned her head back against the coolness of the rock, shutting her eyes and let out a sigh of alleviation. Her whole body was limp after that adrenaline pumping through her system and her usual olive-toned skin was now pale, nearly translucent,"You know, you really don't have to keep worrying about me. I'm a big girl." Crimson assured, trying to make her voice clear but even she could feel it crack. She was completely over feeling this helpless.
"Hey Oswin..." Arden dug around in her pocket, only to pull out a chip of some type. "What do you make of this...?"
At the sight of the chip, Dare frowned. He'd never seen it before in his life, except somehow, it tugged at his memory so hard that he was immediately frustrated. The knowledge behind the chip was on the tip of his tongue.
"Only a little." Kara turned her head slightly so she could see Marc's face. "How can you tell what we all do?"
A mental picture of the dead woman, or Crimson thought she was dead anyway,in the glass case suddenly played in her head. Her jaw clenched as she tried to shake the image out,"Nope." She said quickly, obviously not wanting to talk about it any further. The sooner she forgot about it, the better.
Dare's momentary distraction by the chip ended and he stared down at his hand, clenching his jaw to prevent himself from groaning in pain. At least it didn't look so mangled anymore.
Dare couldn't shake off the familiarity. "Where did you get it? Because if it's from the damn lab, I want nothing to do with it."
The second before it touched his skin, Dare had full intention to shove it back into Arden's hand. The second it actually made contact with him, that thought was erased. His eyes widened and it felt like a light had switched on in his brain. He remembered everything, every second of his life, every minute in the penitentiary. "Holy shit," he gasped, dropping the chip onto the ground beside him.
Dare's eyes flickered up to Oswin and it was as if someone had pulled a veil back. The chip had revealed that he'd been very close with most of the kids in the forest with him now, but specifically it had revealed the fact that he was in love with Oswin. Without answering her, he held her face in his hands and planted his lips on hers. His heart hammered in his chest and after a moment he pulled back, his eyes wide. "Sorry, uh, the chip left me with the very strong impression that I needed to do that."
Dare couldn't decide if he was embarrassed beyond repair or happier than he'd been since coming to the penitentiary. "Sorry," he said again, knowing he was probably blushing like a girl. He pointed to his head. "There's a lot going on up here."
Dare glanced at the twins, cleared his throat, and rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, I saw everything." He picked up the chip from the ground and held it in the palm of his hand "I guess they put my memories on here..." he looked up at her, grinning. "My middle name is Roger."
Dare wrapped his arms around Oswin, grinning even wider. "I remember." He was sure his grip on her was bordering on painful, but it had been so long since he'd held her like this. "God, I'm sorry I was such a dick."

((You crazy fluffy people...))
Kara frowned, struggling to process Marc's meaning. "Have you ever wondered what it is that allows us to do things like that? Because not everyone can. I've checked."

"A new chromosome?" Kara frowned, quickly searching through a bunch of information on the web, using a satellite connection. "How is that even possible?" Her head started to hurt, too much information at once. "Oh. Like..." Her frown deepened, as a picture showed up in her vision. She sat up, spreading the image larger to view the word. "X-Men?"
"I'm not drinking from this stream. It's probably infested with fish pee or something." Her voice nearly just a whisper now. Crimson groaned. Her head was a little clearer but the inside of her chest burned with a searing pain whenever she did anything as simple as breathing. She was infuriated the feeling of weakness she'd let herself succumb to. All the help she was getting Grant...she didn't want it. She never needed help and she likes it that way. But Crimson needed it if she wanted to feel any type of recovery.
"Oh." Kara didn't know quite how to respond to that, so she just fell silent.
((No creativity. I probably won't look at this rp again tonight...))

Crimson's jaw clenched slightly, still debating whether or not to take his help. Just do it. She mentally willed herself. Swallowing her pride, she finally complied,"Fine." Crimson muttered, barely audible but still loud enough to hear.
Kara slowly woke to the sound of Oswin yelling something at their group. "Why?" she mumbled, squinting up at the sun. She couldn't even tell what time... She found the signal from the atomic clock orbiting the earth far above them and her face gained an expression of pleasant surprise. She'd had no idea she could do that.
Dare rolled his shoulders. He wanted his old clothes from before he'd been kidnapped. Most importantly, he wanted his old leather jacket, but he'd have to settle for a new one. "Where are we anyway?"
"There's no way in hell they're just going to give up on us. I say we start walking." Dare looked at each of them expectantly. "Now."
Crimson, still completely exhausted from yesterdays' unfortunate series of events, was practically unconscious from the looks of it. Her obnoxious snoring, however, made it fairly clear she was still sleeping.
