Did anyone take part in the 2013 Writer's Digest Self-Published Book Award?
Anyone still in competition?
Unlike other contests and awards, this one actually sends feedback to the losers, which I find very nice. Here's what the judge had to say about my recent novel Destructive Interference:

"What an absolutely fantastic premise for the plot! The story was enthralling from the beginning, with excellently placed hints that drive the action. The settings and characters are indelible and expertly drawn. I literally could not put it down. The lingering idea that the book is 'true' or possible is extremely compelling; the author's intimate "I'm telling you a story"style adds gravity and verisimilitude. The author's extensive research is evident and remarkable. This stays with the reader long after the cover has been closed. Some stories should not be tarnished with a sequel, and I almost feel that Destructive Interference is one such book because it is perfect as is; however, that doesn't keep me from hoping there will be one."

I'm very happy about this and wanted to share my joy!

Sincerely,
Martin
