Ji Mei (jimei) | 207 comments Evren stood with his legs spread apart, holding down the beginnings of a blade on the anvil. The metal was still glowing with heat and adding to the warmth was the fire raging away in the forge behind him. Sweat would have dripped down his face if it weren't for the cloth he tied around his forehead. His arm repeated slammed down the hammer as he slowly shaped the blade.

Nakhal watched Evren from afar, admiring his skill. Nakhal wasn't much of a blacksmith, but he had formed respect for those who were.
He was waiting patiently for him to finish his work. Nakhal was desperate for any information on his people during wars, and the blacksmiths of towns always seemed to have a little bit of something.

Ji Mei (jimei) | 207 comments Once the blade was done, Evren quenched it, steam rising. Placing it in a pile with some others, he pulled out a rag from his back pocket to wipe his hands. Seeing someone watching, he walked over. "Can I help you?" he asked.

((It's so different rping someone who can see!!! :P))

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

((lol, I would imagine. I've never done it myself, or at least not that I can recall. It'd be a nice challenge, but you RP Jadran so nicely.))

Slightly nervous on how to introduce himself, Nakhal flashed a rather fake and painful looking smile. It was borderline disturbing.
"Hello, my name is Nakhal. I come from far away, and I wondering if I could ask you a few questions?" His voice was far more genuine than his smile, and far more business-like.

message 5: by Ji Mei (new)

Ji Mei (jimei) | 207 comments ((Oh, thank you. I remember as a kid, my siblings and I would pretend to be blind. I thought it would add something different to give Jadran that quality.))

Raising an eyebrow, Evren untied the cloth around his forward. "What questions would you like me to answer?"

((I'm not sure if I can answer his questions...))

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

((I'm kind of just winging it. I honestly didn't really want to make a new character, but yeah. Just have him give him some secret books or something for a sum of money and I can take care of it.))

"Do you have any information on the Luptatories great battles or something." He offered, waving his hand limply. "I have some money if that interests you." He added quickly.

message 7: by Ji Mei (new)

Ji Mei (jimei) | 207 comments ((Okeydokey. I just didn't want to make up things about his race. I would most likely have to ask Dani about those things.))

Shaking his head, Evren's blue eyes were firm. "No, you don't have to pay. Information can come freely. Or at least, it should. My master has some books about the Luptatories if that's any help."

The guard merely grunts. "When we get to the smithy."

message 10: by Fenestra (new)

Fenestra | 123 comments "I thank you then, for your generosity." The comment could be interpreted as sarcastic or genuine.

The man shoves Virith throw the door of the blacksmiths. Movements brusque, it's clear the guard it eager to get rid of the elf. Untying the woman the guard looks over at the blacksmith, conversing with a customer. He nods at the elf. "This one runs, you die. King's orders." The guard gathers up the rope, and departs.

message 12: by Fenestra (new)

Fenestra | 123 comments "Nasty cur." Virith mutters rubbing her wrists as she examines the smithy. It would do. With a nod to the men in the room she snaps her fingers. "I shall return."

She's gone.

message 13: by Ji Mei (new)

Ji Mei (jimei) | 207 comments ((Umm... I'll have my charrie's master be there.))

The master blacksmith, a burly man, just entered and, noting that his apprentice was occupied, went over to the guard. He heard the guards words and nodded back, his eyes barely betraying his sense of fear from the threat.

message 14: by Jester (new)

Jester Plays (jesterplays) | 77 comments Jester came inside with his drenched dagger. Its blade was obviously chewed by his pet Snowball, and now he has to mend it back in shape. As he unsheathed the dagger, it was even worse than he thought it would be. "Splendid," he said, rolling his eyes. He wasn't really a blacksmith, so he thought about finding someone who could help him.

Glitchieyt TTV | 27 comments Zaturos had woken up earlier, miraculously surviving his wounds, and recovering using his Ki. He walked into the blacksmiths room holding a Katana with a dulled blade, which had been used immensely during his adventures to the castle. He sat down on a bench in the back of the room, noticing Jester, and nodding. He looked around the room. It had a whetwheel, and a whetstone sitting on a table. He picked up the stone, wrapped it in cloth, and dragged the stone down his blade, making a metallic sound as he sharpened it.

message 16: by Jester (new)

Jester Plays (jesterplays) | 77 comments "Thanks!" Jester shouted as the loud sharp metallic sound invades the room. He covered his ears a little but tried not to look like a wimp. He studied his blade that slowly formed back into shape. "My tiger made that his chew toy! That's why it has those bite marks in it!"

message 17: by Glitchieyt (last edited Feb 11, 2013 06:14AM) (new)

Glitchieyt TTV | 27 comments Zaturos looked at Jester and looked back down, still sharpening the blade. "Ive never heard a story like that before." He said. "Although, I've never seen a sword bitten before either. Not a smart tiger if you ask me. Poor thing could've had his mouth ripped open if it wasnt careful. Steel doesn't break so easily, but when polished, it can cut twice as easy. Mine was tested on a traitor to my homeland. It sliced him in half as if he was a block of cheese. I used it as a kid and cut down nearly twenty men with it. But I come here, and it only takes two men to subdue me. I am not used to the fighting style in this country. But I know a thing or two about how they fight now. I decapitated the first man earlier, the second I knocked off a cliffside and into a river."

message 18: by Jester (new)

Jester Plays (jesterplays) | 77 comments Jester rolled his eyes about the thought of his tiger being a block of cheese. "Snowball's teeth are almost like blades, and that dagger is a bit old as well. I am planning to buy a new one for me...and a new chew toy for Snowball." He continued to watch how the guy skillfully sharpen his dagger. "Wait, I haven't got you name yet. My name is Jester Plays." When the sound became louder, he squeezed his ears a bit harder to prevent himself from being deaf. He wasn't really used to loud places like this. "What is yours?"

message 19: by Glitchieyt (new)

Glitchieyt TTV | 27 comments (( Its a samurai sword, not a dagger lol ))

"I'm Zaturos. And if you want to sharpen your dagger easily I'll help you." He took Jester's dagger, and sat the blade on a few hot coals. He picked up a hammer, and began pressing it down gently on the blade. In the corner of the room, he could see some rare Meteorite metal melted down into a magma-like substance. He took a cup, and took a pair of what appeared to be pliers, to hold the cup. He wasn't used to the items they used there, but he knew how to use them strangely. He took the cup, and filled it with the Meteorite metal, sadly, the last of it too. He poured it on the anvil-bowl, and placed the dagger in it, waiting about an hour for it to harden. He took out the dagger, which was glowing green for an unknown reason. He placed it on the anvil, and began tampering it down with the hammer. Slowly and effeciently keeping its origional form, and hardening the blade. He saw it was complete, and thrusted it into a bucket of water, making steam fill the room. He took the blade, and began sharpening it to a point with the whetwheel. It was finely polished, and finished shortly after. He handed the dagger back to Jester, and smiled. I just applied a coating of Star Metal on your dagger. Its ten times as strong as it origionally was, and renewed."

message 20: by Jester (new)

Jester Plays (jesterplays) | 77 comments ((Huh?! But I thought you were already fixing his dagger? Ah whatever))

Jester handled his dagger in his hand. "Thanks," he said with a smile. "Now, let me test it." Making a step back, he buckled up his knees to a stance, then pointed the dagger's blade upwards. "Apoy!" He commanded. Flames started to flicker from its tip, then it turned ablaze like a torch. "Whoa! I can control it more smoothly!" He waved it a few more times, then the fire was extinguished. Smiling broadly, he couldn't wait for Snowball and see the newly refined blade. And Jester doubts Snowball would even dare to try and bite it again. "Many thanks, um, Zaturos!"

message 22: by Glitchieyt (new)

Glitchieyt TTV | 27 comments Zaturos gave a suprised look as he saw flames flicker out of the blade. "Ive never seen such a strange use like that before. I was banished from my village for levitating while in meditation, but this, this is more. Is it witchcraft?"

message 23: by Glitchieyt (new)

Glitchieyt TTV | 27 comments (( Yeah, sorry about that. but I think you do ))

message 24: by Jester (new)

Jester Plays (jesterplays) | 77 comments Jester's eyes twinkled a little. "No. I am a warlock. I posses much more power than a witch." He focused back on his dagger in both of his hands. "This is actually...my wand." His eyes saddened at the thought of it. It was too painful to even glimpse at the flashing memories inside his brain. He wanted to rack it off and out to his ears. "It is in our linage. But enough with that." He sheathed back his dagger and faced Zaturos with interest. "Tell me, where did you come from anyway? How come magic is not familiar to you? And why in the lord's name were you banished simply by levitating?"

message 25: by Glitchieyt (new)

Glitchieyt TTV | 27 comments In my land, are Damiyos, lords and samurais. Using Ki, or Chakra is simply forbidden. He lifted his hand. And closed his eyes. Shortly after, his hand burst into flames. He gathered both his hands up and looked at a wall. "Hwyah!" He shouted, and thrusted his hands fourth, sending a fireball outside the room and creating a minor explosion, not enough to damage or scar anything.
"That is what we call our Ki, or Chi. And very few in the world can use it. But here, it seems actual magic exists. They say our Ki was given to us by the water king dragons, who only come out of the ocean once a year. In China, we had festivals of the Great dragon. They say if they dragon bites you, it is good luck for your entire life.

message 26: by Jester (new)

Jester Plays (jesterplays) | 77 comments Jester nodded, processing all the information in his brain. "So you're chinese? I should have known." He lightly slapped his head theatrically. "I apologize for that. But anyway, do you think that other entities exist? What I mean is, you and your culture celebrates the what you call Great Dragon. Do you think they really exist?"

message 27: by Glitchieyt (new)

Glitchieyt TTV | 27 comments Zaturos laughed. "Japaneese. I've never seen this land before. But stories continue to exist. Ive heard of many entities. The great Spider queen arachnidos lives in this land apparently. She lures people into her trap by playing beautiful music from a harp that she made from her silk.
I've also heard of the Dragon God, but I don't know much about him. Then you have the sand rays, which are giant herds of stingrays that live in the desert.
There are lots of stories I learned about traveling here. The biggest, was the reputation of the king. I plan on possibly working for him.

message 28: by Jester (new)

Jester Plays (jesterplays) | 77 comments "Working with the king?" Jester repeated. "I frequently see the king nowadays. It is quite odd though. But if you will do so, then let it be. Quite splendid working with a royalty!" He clasped both of his hands in enjoyment, excited about something. "Speaking of entities, I have been longing for an adventure myself! I traveled once when I was young. But it has been quite a while doing it again." He unsheathed his dagger out again, and the blade started to glow a feint green. "In addition, I look forward to use my new and improved dagger! And I will be having a high expectation towards it," he said, raising a playful brow on Zaturos.

Glitchieyt TTV | 27 comments (( Dragon Meat is Yummy, and I really want it in my tummy...))
Zaturos gave a hidden smile, and sheathed his sword. "Sounds nice. Maybe soon you and I can hunt down a dragon for a nice meal tonight. I heard dragon meat is absolutely the best meat you can possibly taste." I heard one was lurking around on the outskirts trail ambushing caravans. We might even find some treasure hoard if we are lucky."

message 30: by Jester (new)

Jester Plays (jesterplays) | 77 comments ((I never tasted a Dragon Meat, but it really sounds interesting to eat))

"No joke?" Jester became upbeat. "Why wait if we can do it now? I am dying to see one!" He shifted from foot to foot like he couldn't decide whether to stand or run instead. "And maybe I can even bring Snowball with us! He's a great hunter, I'd say. And he can even hunt for his own chew toy!" Already moving to the exit, he smiled and waved to Zaturos. "Move your feet, Zaturos! The adventure awaits!" He pointed his dagger to the air like a young warrior screaming a battle cry.

message 31: by Glitchieyt (new)

Glitchieyt TTV | 27 comments Zaturos laughed, and got up to follow him. "Dragon slaying isnt easy, but lets hope you have what it takes." He followed Jester to the exit, hoping for something great to happen. His mind wandered, and images of his family burning flashed into his mind, he fell over a little, but stood back up and followed Jester to the exit.

Ji Mei (jimei) | 207 comments After a full day of work, Evren left the blacksmith's. He thought over his conversation with Nakhal, the Luptatorian, and hoped he was helpful. He told him to come back if he had more questions and went back to work, ignoring the other people working, focusing on the orders he had to finish.

((Switching topics for Evren.))
