Eva walked across the worn path. Her bow in hand, she gripped it at the sound of a shrew scuttling across the path.

Riding his tiger on its back, Jester scratched Snowball by its ear. "Hey, bud," Jester called, "where are we going?" Snowball didn't made any sign as a response but kept on walking deeper and deeper in the forest. Jester decided to keep his mouth shut instead.
"We scared a girl a while ago back in the Courtyard," Jester said to Snowball. "Didn't you see her?"Snowball grunted as a reply, which meant no.
Jester rolled his eyes, then leaned down to hug his pet tiger by the neck. "Tell me if we're almost there, okay?" He started snoring after how many seconds.
"Kite!" Mercy called, searching for her little sister. Mercy knew her sister liked the woods, so she decided to look here first. She sighed. "Kite, you here!" She spotted a boy, asleep, on a tiger. She started forward. "Excuse me! HAve you seen my sister?" She asked, running forward. She stumbled slightly. Typical for her. She wasn't the smoothest or the most out-going around boys.
Jester was still snoring, but soon choked when a fly went into his mouth. He coughed then hacked. "Ugh!" He spit the insect out. "Disgusting!"Snowball stopped walking then turned to the girl, not showing any signs of him threatened.
Jester took notice of her too. "Oh hi. Can I help you with something?"
"Have you seen my little sister?" Mercy repeated to the boy. "She's blonde, has blue eyes." Mercy gestered to the middle of her stomach. "About this tall." She tilted her head, "Have you seen her?"
Jester was in a deep thought for a moment, but then he remembered. "Oh, I think I saw her by the Courtyard. I think Snowball scared her and she took off." Jester made an apologetic smile.
The castle entrance at his back, Russet asks of Burly, "You going back to the hideout, or have somewhere else in mind?" The pouch of silver jingles temptation against his hip.
Burly shrugs. "How bout an ale! Haven't got one of them in a long time." His eyes fix onto the pouch of silver as it rattles.
Russet shakes his head. "You can go on, but I think I'll retire for the night." Or more precisely, drop in on his sister for a visit.
Burly frowns. "Can I have my share of the money? I need food too yunno." He looks at Russet expectantly.
The bandit flicks one silver coin at the other man. "If you rent a whore, don't bring her back to the cave. You'll be forced to share and we'll have to kill her afterwards." Some secrets must remain guarded.
Burly grunts. "You know me, I don't do that stuff." He walks away, his attempts to whistle coming back full blast. He walks through the undergrowth, lazily looking around and tossing his single silver coin in his hand.
"Strange urges take over a man when liquor's present." With those as his departing words, Russet veers off the trail, setting off at any easy lope towards his childhood home. He makes one stop, spending some of the silver, before arriving.
Virith's feet touch the familiarity that is the forest floor; a sigh of relief falls from her lips. Invisibility potions... What went into those again? A snap echoes through the trees and a large leather book appears in her hands. She flips through the crinkled pages. "Oh. Luna moth wings..." That would require searching.
Jester, breathing in much air as he could get, whistled as loud as he can to call on his pet. "You just wait," he said to Zaturos, "and anytime soon, Snowball will be here in a jiffy! For the meantime, why don't we—Something was rustling from the distance, followed by a vicious growl. "Oh look! He's already here." Suddenly, in the corner of his eye came pouncing infront of him, separating him and Zaturos apart.
"Grrr," the giant icy tiger warned at Zaturos. The black striped white tiger had blue flames blazing on his back. Instead of heat radiated, a chilly cold aura was wrapped around the tiger.
"Snowball!" Jester scolded, slapping the tiger lightly by its body. "My lord, Snowball! How many times do I have to tell you?!" Snowball didn't look away at Zaturos and kept growling. Jester wrapped his arms by its neck and whispered to Snowball's ear, "friend." The command made Snowball calm and licked Jester's face affectionately with its blue tongue.
"I apologize again, Zaturos. Pets can be this protective sometimes."
Zaturos smiled, and held out his hand, unafraid. He was allowing Snowball to catch his scent, hopeful for trust.
Jester kept his hand on Snowball and the other prepared to unsheath his dagger. He looked at Zaturos in bewilderment as they saw the emerging smoke. "Do you think...?" He asked to both of his companions.
Zaturos nodded. "Its coming from the back of the woods. There are large claw marks on the ground, and they apparently are hot enough to turn this part of the road into crystal." The side of the road was literally turned into glass because of the immense heat it possibly had endured earlier. The smoke kept rising from the back of the woods, where the dragon most likely was.
Jester examined his surroundings and nodded to Zaturos's evidences. "You are right...but it might be better if we could see the dragons ourselves! We just need to stay close to Snowball here and we all won't go Mercury!"Snowball grunted as a reply. Jester scratched behind his ear that made him jerk in satisfaction a little. "You boy won't melt, won't you?"
((Are we really going to see dragons inside? 'Cause according to the Gysalin history, dragons were almost extinct...almost)))
Mercy followed Jester, rolling her eyes. "You were no help at all." She paused. "Besides, I at least want to know what you are doing."
Jester turned to Mercy, surprised that she was still tailing him. "I am hunting dragons. You know, the fire-y ones?" He stared back at the smoking cave, coming back to the conclusion that there could be such beings lurking inside.
Zaturos smiled and looked over his shoulder. If not, its a possible fire elemental. Another creature of magic. They are rare too, but only wizards or sorcerers could summon them.
Jester turned back to Zaturos, who continued analyzing every detail of the cave. "Are you ready?" He asked.
Heh, yeah. I think this is a wyvern, not a dragon. They look very much so like dragons, but they have no intelligence, and are very bestial.
Zaturos headed into the cave with Jester following behind. Below them were crystals, valuable ones. Zaturos smiled and looked forward, but to his suprise the entire cavern bursted into flames, they jumped behind a rock, to see a wyvern run to the end of the cavern, and turn around, blasting flames at the rock they hid behind. Zaturos barrel rolled to the side and slid under its legs, hacking at its belly. "Well, do something Jester! Dont just stand there!"
"Will do!" Jester replied. He pointed at the air and directed Snowball to attack. Snowball dashed around and bit its tale, ignoring how it was barbed and protected with spikes. Jester, on the other hand, unsheathed his knife, raised it to a point, and navigated the crystals. "Bato!" The crystals started vibrating like there was an earthquake, and the next split second, the crystal bombarded towards the wyvern.
Zaturos smiled, and fistpumped the air. "Yes!" He shouted. The wyvern flicked its wings, knocking the crystals to the side. "No!" Zaturos replied in a hysterical tone. Snowball, having hold of its tail, jolted his neck, sending the wyvern slamming into the rocky wallside. The beast howled in pain as one of its wings broke. "Jesus! That thing is powerful!" Zaturos shouted. He stood up; gave a samurai stance, and began chanting. His sword burst into flames. "Lets finish this beast Jester!"
Mercy watched from behind, her arms crossed in front of her chest. She sighed. Yes, the sight intrigued her and all (I mean, the guys were fighting a dragon here!), but she wanted to find her sister. And, this Jester, whoever he is, knew where she was last seen.
With his pack over his shoulder, Jaromir headed further into Gysalin. Keeping his eyes and ears open, he wondered how much has changed since he was living on the outskirts of the country. He had been training most of his life, then been stationed at other locations to gather information. Now, after so many years, he was back home. Jaromir almost laughed, bitterly. He lost his home the moment he accepted his calling. Shoving down thoughts of his parents and sister, he continued down the trail.
"Got it!" Jester shouted back to Zaturos. Pinching his bottom lip, he whistled loudly, calling on Snowball to retreat. He mounted on Snowball's back and gripped tightly on his dagger. "Alright, you little piece of blade," he said, mentioning his newly refined dagger. "Let's see how sharp you are. Hiya!" He lightly heeled on Snowball, indicating to charge.Snowball bolted up on their foe. The wyvern tried to claw the incoming tiger, but Snowball swiftly dodged it to the left, moving closer to the wyvern's middle. When the wyvern's nostrils flared, Jester knew what was coming.
Slashing his dagger in mid-air, Jester shouted a spell. "Yelo!" A huge chunk of ice appeared in between them, shielding Jester. The wyvern exhaled a breath of fire, melting the ice. Once the ice was completely melted, Snowball came out pouncing from the vaporized smoke, landing in the wyvern's forehead. Jester dismounted, and with the dagger in hand, he plunged the metallic blade deep on the creature's skull, black fountain of blood streaming out.
Mercy watched, trying very hard to look unamazed. She huffed, rolling her eyes. She needed to find her sister, and Jester knew where she had last been. The boy wouldn't tell her though. Mercy just rolled her eyes, then headed toward the courtyard. Maybe Kite would be there.
Finally seeing the strike, Zaturos closed his eyes, allowing his blade to sear the air. The entire metal on the blade was glowing red. He took up the sword, and lopped off the Wyverns head, holding one of its horns as a trophy. "That, was the most fun I've had in a while!" He exclaimed. He looked over to Jester, who was watching Snowball chew on the barbed tail of the corpse.
"Yeah!" Jester, half jumping in adrenaline, went to Snowball and patted on his back to stop. "It's already dead, Snowball. You did a great job."Snowball released the tail and purred on his master's head.
Coming out from the smoldering cave, Jester and his pet ice tiger Snowball got out safely. It was so hot inside, but being beside Snowball didn't affected Jester. Good thing Snowball was there.Passing by tree per tree, they stopped abruptly to take a rest. Holding out his dagger in the air, Jester summoned the wind to conditionit into a cool breeze. "Ah," he sighed. "Much better."
((Ok sure))Snowball saw her first, but managed not to growl. Jester, hugging his pet by its neck a little closer, smiled to the girl. "Hello to you, too. Name's Jester," he introduced.
"I was just walking, getting out of the hustle and bustle of the city." Janelle said. "How about you?"
"Oh, you know. Slaying dragons. Reinforging my dagger. Letting my pet chew on a Wyvern's tail." Jester patted on his pet"s back as if a praise. "The usual."
"Are you a champion dragon slayer or something?" Janelle asked, smiling. She typically wouldn't have been this talkative, but she was in a strange mood today.
