Jace took her silence as an okay to call her that, he smirked, Jace stopped a bit before Brooklyn bridge, he parked in an open area. He took a look around, he wanted to make sure that there was no one around before he exited the vehicle. His hands stayed loose at his sides, like he wasn't worried, though he was. He would never show that though, it was just who Jace was, he never showed his true emotions on the surface. Jace waited for the girls to pull up before he went exploring.
Following him all the way into town almost seemed to easy because all Ellie could hear was her music, Sam talking, and the roar of her truck. No screaming zombies, and not even one grunt.
Was that a good thing, or was it just building up?
She parked the Ford by Jace's Jeep and, with a sigh, she gave Sam a look, slung her backpack over her right shoulder, and her bow over the left, and jumped out of the truck. "Gator Girl? How long did it take you to get that one?" she asked Jace, a smile on her face as she readjusted her hat.

Sam pulled her bag onto her shoulders and hopped out of the car, following Ellie up to Jace. She chuckled softly "I bet it took some deep thought..."
Jace smirked, "No thought at all to be honest, southern girl, needed a name like that." He said and grinned at the two of them, his eyes lingered on Ellie. "Well here we are, we need to scout these neighborhoods, see if we can find anything we can use, check for changes that the apocalypse has caused, and anything out of the ordinary. For example, things that gangs would do, we're trying to weed those out as well," Jace thought of the gang that had kidnapped his cousin's girl, bunch of SOB's. They'd taken care of the ring leader, but there was a new guy in charge.

Raising an elegant eyebrow and nodding her head up and down, Ellie glanced around the place, seeing the torn town in front of her. The sun gave light to broken down houses, long gone the times when humans lived in them. They looked like they'd been through hellfire, but she supposed they all had been. Sam joined her side, and she laughed while she viewed the ground around them. It was kind of sad, but not enough to make her stop looking. This was the world now, and she just had to deal. She looked back to Jace, and his gaze still lingered on her, and she grinned. "Gotcha, J." she said. "There's three of us... How are we going to break up to do our plundering?" she asked him, knowing that he was probably best to fill the role of leader here, and she and Sam would watch and learn for awhile.
(Lets say they're done, Jace has to let his cousin have the jeep when he gets back to the hospital, maybe I'll have him join you guys in your hideout? If that'd be cool?)
((They are in one of the abandoned apartment buildings, a very fortified one, they're going to rent out rooms to people. We could find our own apartment building though if you want))
