Having a good cry.

John Green gets the tears flowing. Even a few scenes in Graceling got me tearing up when Po was insisting on being left behind. Also the Hunger Games had a few character deaths that left me reeling. I am a huge crier.
I agree with you on John Green's books ( especially The Fault in Our Stars), and a little on hunger games (Mockingjay). I don't know if Graceling made me cry or not. I can't remember. I think one of the first books that made me cry was The Forest of Hands and Teeth. Now I've noticed that sad books make me more emotional than they used to (before reading that book).

In really good books that I like, either when someone dies (mostly a boy character I fall in love with or someone I really like). I also end up in tears but not like a waterfall one too, just a few tears. :'(
I cry, but not cry, cry? Do you know what I mean? I get all choked up with a lump in my throat, and my eyes go blurry, but no tears fall. I don't cry when people die, unless it is a really dramatic scene. More if the character has to leave someone they love, or the end of the book has a total twist. I just read a book then (Long night Moon, Seasons of the Moon #3) and I got all choked up. Can't wait to read next book!

Yea, thats were I got the idea from. Thanks BTW, I though it would make a good discussion!
i am a cryer by the end of the last book I read tears were rolling and everyone is staring at me cause there watching a comedy and I'm crying
I don't cry much after reading a book instead I get tensed. But after finishing Opal tears welled up in my eyes and I wasn't able to control.
I do to Chelsea so your not alone I also laugh and my husband gets a kick out of the fact he will watch me reading a book and I will be smiling cause something good happened or when a big thing is happening it a book I am on the edge of my seat totally one with my book I love reading
When some twists and turns come in a book or there's an interesting part. Then my mom just stares at my face cuz of my expressions as I get so much dissolved in the book. Lol
its kind of like the never ending story like your there with them going through everything when its a good book
I do that too. Plus, reading away from people is easier because they always try talk to me when I'm reading (especially my mom).
Yeah that's so annoying. Ppl should not talk when they know you're busy reading. And moms they are all same no matter from where you belong.
You know for some reason I don't feel weird about crying because of books hahaha. It is just an amazing thing when books move you to tears. :)
I've been known to get a bit misty eyed from time to time. It sounds silly, getting emotional over a fictional person, but I always end up connecting with them. Any good story will get the reader emotional involved, so when I end up getting a little tearful over a character, I always give a little more credit to the author. It's not easy to get someone to cry over someone that isn't actually real.

Yes, it's kinda embarassing but we can laugh at each other. It's fine. So tell us! Are you a crier?
