Gabrielle Smith (jazzygrapefruit) | 20 comments So, nerdfighters what is your favorite book?

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

"I don't have a favourite book, I have hundreds!" ;)

message 3: by Gabrielle (new)

Gabrielle Smith (jazzygrapefruit) | 20 comments I was waiting for someone to say it ^-^
you, my friend, are made of awesome.

message 4: by Carly (new)

Carly Fraser (clfraser44) | 5 comments Well that's the thing every book has there own way of being my favorite. TFIOS is my favorite book by a male author wile all his other books come in a very close second all the Harry Potter books are my favorite series closely followed by Anne of Green Gables series. And I could go on telling you that Anne of Green Gables is my favorite series by a dead author. And why this book is the best at this (all my opinion of course), so ya...

message 5: by Gabrielle (new)

Gabrielle Smith (jazzygrapefruit) | 20 comments Anne of Green Gables was awesome! What I remember of it at least... I read it a long time ago, there's been a lot of books since I read that, it's really good though, I agree on that.

I've never understood the "war" with Harry Potter and Twilight... I mean they're two different genres! How could you compare them? It's like comparing an apple and a pear. Just a terrible idea.

message 6: by Kate (new)

Kate R (katetheshortone) I think the war started when someone said Twilight was like the new Harry Potter and Potterheads just blew up because they realized early that Twilight was the lamest excuse for a book ever. (If you don't agree. I pity you. Go watch 'Alex Day Reads Twilight' on Youtube.)

message 7: by Gabrielle (new)

Gabrielle Smith (jazzygrapefruit) | 20 comments "if I dont agree"? umm... I'm allowed my own opinion on a book... Everyone is.... If you don't like it then it's not your type of book... If it speaks to someone I'm not gonna challenge them on it. Nor should you. Not trying to offend you just simply defending fellow readers (because if someone reads thats a little less world suck, right?)

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

Yay, I'm made of awesome.

Anyway one of my favourite book/s is Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

I have this thing for crime/mystery novels. I love trying to guess the culprit, only to be proven wrong. I love how they always piece together the crime, which seems so obvious at the end but completely deluded you at the start.

It's a shame really that people my age, my age being 15, don't read such great works of literature as Sherlock Holmes. I am not saying that NO 15 year-olds have read Sherlock Holmes, more like, not much people will be willing to read Sherlock Holmes: the complete collection, which is 1408 pages long.

Anyway, Sherlock Holmes is just one of the MANY books I love.
