Joshua | 12 comments I keep wondering your guys thoughts on finding god in everyday life. Its not a normal happening to have an intervention by God like in the shack....how does one find and have a relationship without such an intervention?

Hi Josh! That's a good question. It takes a conscious effort to thank Him for your every day blessings, from the air that you breath, the people in your life and even the fact that you woke up that day. If it's something that is important to you, you have to work at it. The best way to have a strong relationship with God is to surround yourself with other people who have strong relationships with God. Find a church where you can learn and grow in Christ. That may be harder than it sounds. But you have to have a strong support system, as with anything else in your life. It's easy to back slide because there will be many people in your life, including those closest to you, that don't understand your desire and need to have a relationship with God. One of the questions for Ch. 4-6 asks who is more responsible to seek the other, us or God? I feel like God is always there. He never turns his back on us. If we want a relationship with Him, we have to seek it, and he will not deny us...
