I haven't read this series, so I'm not sure. The main characters are law enforcement, but is the atmosphere like a cozy, in the way Inspector Gamache and Hercule Poirot are? If it felt like a cozy to you, go with it :)
I just caught the notation after Body of Intuition :) That's too bad, especially since I have Final Intuition around here somewhere.

Thanks I looked at this sight (love it) however none of the authors looked appealing. Have you read any of these authors that you could recommend?
I looked againand realized I haven't read a lot of them :) Ones I have:
Dorothy Gilman love the Mrs. Pollifax series
Jaqueline Girdner I enjoyed the first few in the Kate Jasper series.
Sarah Graves Home Repair is Homicide series.
Ones I haven't read, but have been mentioned a lot in the group are Kerry Greenwood and Martha Grimes. We also have a "G" author in the group, Beth Groundwater.
Looking at my books, Judith Van Gieson and Alison Gordon are two authors that I really like.

Thanks for the "shout out," jaxnsmom, and I hope you'll give one of my mystery series a read, Randa!
Beth wrote: "Thanks for the "shout out," jaxnsmom, and I hope you'll give one of my mystery series a read, Randa!"I thought I would give "A Real Basket Case" a try. Looking forward to reading it.
Beth wrote: "I hope you like it, too, Randa. Please let me know what you think of it after you finish it."It's currently on "order" from another library so hopefully I'll get it soon.

It was a pretty good book. I will be honest I had a hard time liking and relating to the characters. I absolutely hated Roger. The ending of the book did peak my interest a bit more and I may have to give the second book in the series a try.
Finished
today. Gave it two stars. Interesting concept but not something I will continue reading....wouldn't mind reading "Cliff Notes" on the first book however just to clear a few things up.
Any "I" suggestions?? I looked through everyone else's lists and have found that no one has read an "I" author yet. Was trying to go in order but may have to come back to "I".
have a look on the cozy mystery site: http://www.cozy-mystery.com/Authors-I...They've got a few there for I authors.

I've looked on that sight but nothing looked interesting, for the "I's".
Michelle wrote: "You could try
by India Ink"Thanks for the suggestion. I picked up "Scent of Her Grave" by India Ink. Not impressed so far but it's an "I".
Totally understand. I prefer to enjoy what I am reading, but I thought it would fulfill the requirements for the challenge. Good luck! Hope the story gets better!

I like these challenges because it introduces one to a whole new set of authors; many good, many not necessarily to ones taste. India Ink was definitely not my cup of tea...deep breath I finished "I" is behind me.
Well, I now know who not to read for "I". Sorry for the literary torture session...lol!!! Good luck!!!
The first two Bath and Body mysteries were better, but I didn't care for Glossed and Found either. India Ink is the pen name for Yasmine Galenorn, whose Chintz 'n China series was entertaining.
Who are you looking at for J?
Who are you looking at for J?
Are you determined to read them in alphabetical order? You could always use Sue Ann Jaffarian, since you read Too Big to Miss.
Yep, this challenge I'm doing in alphabetical order. And to make things even more difficult I won't count any books that I'm reading for this group. I do belong to two other groups (sort of) so I plan to use their books if they fit the cozy/mystery genre.I'm open to any suggestions for "J".
Delores Johnson Mandy Dyer series, Taken To The Cleaners is the first one
Miranda James Cat in the Stacks series, Murder Past Due
Dorothy St. James White House Gardener series, Flowerbed of State
Christine T. Jorgensen Stella the Stargazer series, A Love to Die for
Linda O. Johnston Kendra Ballantyne series, Sit, Stay, Slay

Thanks for the recommendations. I ordered "A love to Die for" from the library. Looking forward to it. Currently struggling through another book for another group... only manage a chapter a day. UGH!!!
You're doing better than I am! I am having trouble even reading thing I like. It's driving me nuts, but I can't force it, then I'd hate it :(

and really enjoyed it. Think I may try another of her books. Now off to find a "K" author.
Nope been reading a lot of other genres lately. Definitely need to get back to some cozies as the year is half over and I'm less than 1/2 way done with this challenge. Any suggestions?
There are a couple of authors I really enjoy.
Lisa Lutz - her Spellman series is funny, sarcastic and witty, with a wonderfully dysfunctional family.
Laura Levine's Jaine Austen series is also humorous and well done.
If you like paranormal cozies, Victoria Laurie has two series, Psychic Eye and Ghost Hunter.

Finished what may be my last Agatha Raisin book. Enjoyed the series for quite awhile, now not so much....(insert sad face emoticon here!)
So true. Except when you've been reading a series for years no matter how many times you say never again a part of you believes the last book or two or three was just a fluke and it will get back to being how enjoyable it once was.
Well I guess if I have a prayer of finishing this challenge I need to stop going in order and just start reading! 12 more to go ugh!!!
Randa wrote: "I hope this is it...A) Atherton, Nancy

Ok I admit defeat. I started out so well I never thought I wouldn't finish, but, alas, too many rreally good non-cozy books and quite a few awful cozies that I just couldn't finish. Enjoyed the challenge but I guess I like to read a few different types of genres and couldn't stick with just cozies.Congratulations to all who completed this challenge, job well done. Maybe I still have time to complete thetitle challenge!
