The Page Turners discussion

I just started reading the book by Stephanie Meyer and i'm wondering does anybody know if its any good? I'm only about five pages in so far :)

I, personally, love that book so much!!! It's one of my all-time favorit book... Some say that the start of the book is slow, but I thought it was interessting... even if you thing you can't get through the beginning, just continue, it's so worth it!!

I didn't... what is it about?

I read the host in 2010 and love every bit of it. I can not wait for the movie!

The book is fantastic :) I didn't know if I was going to like it, but I started reading and I just couldn't stop :)

I have it right now but I don't want to start it because it's so intimidating. It's 829 pages for crying out loud. Don't get me wrong, I read a ton of big books and I don't have a problem with the page count but still. This is on the heavy side. The biggest I ever read was Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix and that still was only about 700 pages. And I'm not even sure I'm going to like this book. Reading the summery thing and watching the trailer makes it sound, erm... not really what I usually read.

This guy who grew up in foster homes goes to this boarding school trying to be able to settle down for awhile but when he gets there he finds out there are no adults except a face on a computer screen but you cant leave the school once you get there, it twists nearing the end and i thought it was pretty good :)

haha yeah it is really long i was really worried about it when i started reading it and as Mona said it is alittle slow in the beginning but once you get into it good then its great till the end

Wow...that summary by Kennedy kinda creeps me out...it sounds interesting, though! I really want to read this, actually.

Wait what? This is the host by stephenie meyer right? I just finished reading it and...your summary has nothing to do with the host. It's about parasites who invade human bodies and take over them and this parasite named wanderer goes into a girl's body (melanie) and together they find jared...? Right?

I agree! This is a really good book, and it's really worth reading, like Mona said. :D

OH sorry!!!! Ignore my message (message 12), I thought kennedy was talking about the host at the time, now I realized he meant the variant. oops.
