Alyssa | 184 comments I'm going for a solid 50 this year but I'm actually very positive I will finish it by March or April maybe with the rate I'm going at right now. I'm already at 15 books (about to finish #16 in a few hours) and it's only 24 day into the new year! Can't you believe it! That like one book every day and a half! Haha, I feel like I don't have a life outside reading now.

Alyssa | 184 comments just finished book #16! Opal and wow! That is 110% hands-down the craziest/amazing/mind blowing ending I have ever read. And the most shocking (but great) ending I think I will ever read in my life. So much feeling...

message 3: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments You know you have read to much when Goodreads tells you that you that you should increase your goal. I put my goal at 50 books this year however it is only January and I have finished 19 books already, so I'm thinking about changing it to 65 or something...just something to think about.

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm going to do this challenge too!

message 5: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments Finished #20 Pushing the Limits such a perfect ending. Noah is so much more sweeter then he gives himself credit for.

Alyssa | 184 comments Just to tell you guys if you are actually following my 2013 reading challenge (which I'm sure you aren't) I have changed my goal from 50 books to the magical 65! Due to the fact that I am already at 20 books and January isn't even done yet. So yah, BYE!

Alyssa | 184 comments #22 Prodigy (Legend, #2) by Marie Lu and MIND BLOWN! It's so full of action and it's so seeable. I can't believe I have to wait till 2014 for the next book! WAHHHHHHHH!!

message 10: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments #23 Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor . Erm not sure what to think about this book. It is VERY different than what I usually read. I thought the parts where they were both together was REALLY good and interesting but when they weren't...yawn. overall, 6 out of 10

message 12: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments #25 The Iron Daughter (The Iron Fey, #2) by Julie Kagawa it's nice and sweet and lives up to a fairytale suited for teenagers but I didn't like how Meghan just sits there and lets Ash or Puck fight for her. GET UP GIRL! Learn to fight or something. And of course, nice guy finish last in most stories as well as this one. :(

message 13: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments #26 The Iron Queen (The Iron Fey, #3) by Julie Kagawa That ending! aww, poor Ash. When she made her discussion it was like a knife going through my stomach and being twisted. It's okay though, everything will be fine, I'm sure.

message 14: by Alyssa (last edited Feb 19, 2013 12:29PM) (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments #27 Candor by Pam Bachorz was a really quick fun read to pass the time. The concept was really interesting on how everyone listened to messages through music. And that ending wasn't exactly happy. I really did not expect that. How sad.

message 15: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments #29 If I Stay (If I Stay #1) by Gayle Forman . wow, what a powerful book. I thought it was over rated and was going to be boring but I was wrong. It's amazing and Adam is the perfect boyfriend. i Think many people can easily love this book. Maybe it should be a monthly read or something. I want others to read it.

message 16: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments #30 Where She Went (If I Stay, #2) by Gayle Forman this takes place 3 years after "if i stay" where adam and mia meets up after years of not seeing each other. It was so cute and romantic. And i totally reccomend it.

message 18: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments #32 Half-Blood (Covenant, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout Just think of all the awesome parts of the Vampire Academy books and BAM all in this book. But better because the dialogue is so witty and fun. Not that I'm saying VA books were boring, But this is way...WOW.

message 19: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments #34 Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols . This was alright. I liked the whole plane thing because I have never read something that it's theme revolved around aircraft and flying. But it started of slow and I just hated some of the characters. And not in a love-to-hate kind of thing. No, I just hated them.

Oh and loved the cover though!

message 20: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments #37 The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #1) by Michelle Hodkin was freaky and confusing...like inception. the beginning was very appealing but the mysterious flashbacks were getting confusing which made it hard to enjoy.

Alyssa | 184 comments #38 Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices, #3) by Cassandra Clare is awesome end to a series. That epilogue made tears fall around me like a waterfall. Most perfect ending for both Jem and Will fans. And Magnus is like 100 times more awesome then he was already in this book.

message 23: by Alyssa (last edited Apr 07, 2013 09:17PM) (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments #40 Pure (Covenant, #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout usually when reading a love triangle, I pick one guy and stick with him throughout the series but Seth and Aiden? Oh my gosh they are both perfect. I'm leaning towards Aiden because he is romantic when he say things but we don't really get to see him a lot in this book. And Seth is so lovable. "you're my cuddle-bunny" AWWWW. Now if only i can find the third book...

message 24: by Alyssa (last edited Apr 07, 2013 09:16PM) (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments #41 The Iron Knight (Iron Fey, #4) by Julie Kagawa you know that empty hollow feeling you get after you read the last book in a great series? yah, that's how i feel now...why can't I have an Ash? *sigh*

message 25: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments #42 Perfect Scoundrels (Heist Society, #3) by Ally Carter Hale. Poor Hale. I just want to give him a hug. and his name, Scooter? I prefer Hale...But I don't get that scene at the waterfall that all. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever...

message 26: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments #43 Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson It was cute and adorable and so cheesily romantic all in one. There is the whole summer house thing, 1st date at carnival with there 1st kiss there too. Also a kiss in the rain and blah blah however I love the cuteness of it.

Alyssa | 184 comments #44 The Elite (The Selection, #2) by Kiera Cass first off, isn't that a gorgeous cover. and second WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU AMERICA!!! What happened to your backbone! Where is that strong, I stand up for myself girl i loved? This whole book, she would want to do something then take it back later without thinking! Super frustrating. All the characters frustrated me in this book. Disappointing compared to the first.

Alyssa | 184 comments so i have an confession... I read Apollyon (Covenant, #4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout (book 4) before Deity (Covenant, #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout (book 3). I know. i know. shame i me, but i couldn't help it the 4th book was staring at me from my bookshelf, i left it sitting there for a WHOLE month. I lasted a whole MONTH without Aiden! Do you know how hard that was. But now a read both and they were super good. so yah! ^-^

Alyssa | 184 comments Of Mice and Men Of course this was a for a summer school assignment as i don't read classics or anything about the great depression, but this was shockingly good and I am highly emotional so the whole dog/ puppies and that ending made me tear up a little. But now need to write up the essay... that is not going to be fun at all...

Alyssa | 184 comments Just One Year I was more disappointed that Williem and Allison didn't meet somewhere in the book. I got that we needed to see Williem's life and his self discovery moments, but COME ON! We were left on a cliff-hanger in the last book, then we are left on the exact same one in this book! SERIOUSLY?!?! This there going to be a 3rd book??? I don't even know.

message 41: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 184 comments I'M DONE WITH THE BOOK CHALLENGE THING!!! (This is where I would be jumping around but it's really cold right now so I'll just stay with my blanket) Thank you to anyone who read this even though it's just my comment after comment after comment and i'm probably just writing this to myself.

I really didn't think that I would find so many new books that i would fall in love with because I thought I've already read everything that I loved. I still think that there is no way I can find better books out there compared to what I've read, but we'll see about that in 2014.

But the year is not over and I'm defiantly not going to stop reading anytime soon so maybe I'll still update this. 65 books are a lot, that's more that a book a week so YAY ME!
