The Academy of The Others discussion

Hawke walked into his apartment and threw the keys onto the kitchen table.

Skye followed him in, looking around curiously.

((Oh, do I need a picture or something?))

He yawned again as he passed his bedroom.

"So... do you want me to leave you now?" Skye asked, watching him yawn.

Hawke shrugged. His brain too fuzzy to think clearly, "So weariness in another emotion?"

Skye chuckled. "Naw, my poor Hawke. Yes it is. Here, I'll lead you to your room." She took his hand and walked to his bedroom.

Hawke shook his head and things cleared...a little bit. He smiled at Skye, "Thanks."

She smiled back. "No worries."

Hawke felt for his bed and lay down. He blinked at the roof.

Skye watched him lie down and smiled. "You'll be okay by your own?" She asked.

Hawke nodded, "Thanks, again."

Skye smiled softly at him. "No problems. And if you need anything, call my house or my mobile, or just come over."
She handed Hawke both numbers and walked to his door.

Renesmee knocks on the door.

Skye frowned and walked to the door. "Hello?" She asked when opening it.

"Hi!" Renesmee chirped enthusiastically. "I am passing out flyers for the Valentine's day ball!" She handed her one. It read: VALENTINE'S DAY BALL! A Valentine's day ball will be hosted all day n Valentine's day! See you there in your finest dress or suit! "It'll be spectacular!" She chimed. "See you there!" She called as she hurried away.

Skye blinked in confusion and nodded. She placed the flyer on Hawke's table and left with a smile.

Hawke walked over to his table and looked at the flyer on there. He picked it up. Valentine's day ball, huh? He sighed and grabbed his laptop, setting it up on the table beside the flyer. When it turned on, he searched up Valentine and started reading.

Hawke sighed and rubbed his head after reading the entire page.

Skye knocked softly at Hawke's door.

Hawke stood up and closed his laptop, so no-one should know what he was searching up. He walked over to the door and opened it. "Skye, hey."

Skye smiled as soon as the door was opened. "Hi, I was just checking if you were still sleeping." She said lamely and shoved the flyer that the girl had given her discreetly in her pocket.

Hawke smiled, "I'm not sleeping." He walked back to the table and threw the Valentine's flyer into the bin. What? Not like he was going, especially after reading that website.

Skye walked in slowly and looked around, not seeing him through the flyer in the bin.
"I can see." She joked, smiling. "So... did you find the flyer that someone who goes to school with us left?" She asked, her hand resting over hers.

Hawke looked at her, "You mean this?" He opened the bin lid, exposing the flyer.

Skye nodded, keeping silent since she saw it was in the bin. "Guessing... that you're not going?" She asked casually.

Hawke shrugged and closed the bin, "Depends if anyone would go with me."

"I would." She said, a bit too quickly. "I mean... loads of people would. You're a nice guy, Hawke." Skye cringed inside.

Hawke chuckled, amused, "And you're a nice girl, Skye." He picked up his laptop and moved it to his room.

"Thanks." Skye said, watching him go into his room. Once he couldn't see her, she put her hand on her forehead, muttering 'stupid, stupid Skye'.

Hawke put the laptop on his bed, because he didn't have a desk in there. He same back out, "So...what brings you here?"

"Again, I was just cheking if you were still asleep..." Skye said lamely again, nodding and putting both hands behind her back.

Hawke raised an eyebrow, "Okay. You sure that's it?"

Skye nodded some more and casually looked away from Hawke, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink. "Yeah... I'm sure. Friends, um, do that."

Hawke smiled, "So I should check if you're asleep all the time?"

Skye looked back at him, shocked for a second then laughed. "No, no, you were just really tired and I was worried, no need to check up on me." She rushed.

Hawke laughed as well, "Well I'm fine so..."

Skye nodded awkwardly. "Yeah... so.... if you want me to leave you, I would probably look around in some rando shops..."

Hawke looked at her, "You sure you're okay, right?"

Skye hugged him quickly, happy for his concern. "Yeah... I'm fine." She said quietly, taking a step towards the door. "Thank you so much for hanging out with me yesterday." She said honestly.

Hawke frowned, "No...problem."

Skye smiled softly and turned to the door, biting her lip to hold back an involuntary tear. It didn't matter if he wasn't going, she would still go for the sake of it.

Hawke walked up to her and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder, turning her around, "Hey, What's wrong? Seriously."

Skye put on a fake smile and shook him off. "Nothing's wrong. I was just planning to get a pointless dress." She said, also faking cheeriness.

Hawke back up a step, "Whoa, you better put a cap on those emotions. You're basically bleeding feelings." He shook his head and took a step closer, "Pointless dress? For what?"

Skye smiled softly, turning down the cheeriness. "The ball... Was just going to have a look at it but needed a dress..." She muttered.

Hawke grinned, "Is this about money?"

"No." Skye shook her head. "You know what, I'm being an idiot, so I'll leave..." She took a step towards the door again.
