John C. Reilly
G, reading your post has made me want to listen to the book were reading now. Particularly because of the accents and the way the characters in the book may sound like. As much as I enjoy imagining it in my head, I think it would be interesting to actually hear their voices and the way they speak. Also, why did I think the narrator of your audiobook was Ken Kesey himself? For those of you interested in listening to audiobooks, go to www.audiblepodcasts.com where you can get an audiobook of your choice for FREE during the trial period.

the Audio version i mean, by the writer himself.
I'm not sure where you listen to your audiobooks from but the audiblepodcasts programme is safe and reliable. I'm v happy with it :)
Ghaniya - I'm so glad you liked the audiobook version!!!
I used to think that listening to audiobooks was kind of like cheating haha UNTIL I started listening to the New Yorker fiction podcast. Now I've totally changed my opinion on them and I simply love them! Of course it makes a huge difference when the narrator is someone with a good reading voice, but I agree it's amazing you feel like you're totally immersed in the atmosphere of the book!
I might get the audiobook version of our next pick actually!

Change of accents! Background music! the way the narrator changes his pitch and style of speech depending on a character,,, serious movie playing in my head LOL!!
There was a moment I was so scared, I was hiding under the blanket LOL!!
