Paul I have been trying to do the A-Z thing for a while in order to diversify my reads. Started at goodreads to keep it organized, and found this group. Honestly might use it to see what other people are doing for X and Q, but it could also be fun to follow other people in their alphabets. Recently have been buying books faster than I could read them, and so I stopped buying books as much and now could probably be trapped at home and have a year's worth of reading. Everything on the list I have and is unread except Q and Y.

Michelle (nanlewis) X and Q are difficult letters! A few I've found are: X - Xinran "Sky Burial", which has very good reviews, and Xu, Xiaoban "Feathered Serpent", which does not... Q - Quinn, Anthony "Rescue Man"; Quinn, Daniel "Ishmael" and "The Story of B"; Quick, Matthew "Silver Linings Playbook"; and Quindlen, Anna, "One True Thing" and "Blessings".

I'm going to try reverse alphabetical order. My "Z" was "The Book Thief" by Marcus Zusak. Good luck on your list.

Paul My next author list has both Sky Burial and The Book Thief, but i appreciate all of the new suggestions. I'm reading the first two on this list at the same time since one is fiction and the other is non-fiction

Hi Paul: Have any good Q, X, & Y book titles? Those are the hardest to come by in the title challenge.

Paul The ones I have for those letters are:

Quartet in Autumn by Barbara Pym
Quicksand by Nelle Larsen
X Stands for Unknown by Isaac Asimov
(The) Xibalba Murders by Lyn Hamilton
(The) Year of the Death of Ricardo Reise by José Saramago
(The) Yiddish Policeman's Union by Michael Chabon

Y hasn't been tough for me to find, not as tough as Z. Some of them will become tougher over time though. I'm considering quitting Q and/or X after I run through the ones I have. I'm not super-psyched to read the Q authors or titles and have put them in just to fill a gap, and I'm afraid that, even though may reading my vary more, I'm dooming myself to read books that I'm not excited to read.

Sharon (bishops1) | 15 comments Thanks!

Here are a few I found for Q & Y titles that sound good, but I haven't read yet.

(A) Question of Choice by Sarah Weddington
(The)Question by Henri Alleg/Ellen Ray

Year of the Dead (#1 - Sustainable Earth Series)by Jack J. Lee

Z Titles are easier if you like Zombie Books. :')

A Q Author I found is Kwei Quartey. He wrote a Series called The Darko Dawson Series. The Wife of the Gods and Children of the Street. Not usual books I would read, but I did enjoy them.
