I have been wondering for abit, who here finds it easy to read long stories. Out of interest, who finds it difficult to write long novels? Who enjoys novellas and short books?

I don't find it easy to read long stories.....but I have read many of them before. As for novellas, I really like e-novellas, for no particular reason at all.
Short books................not really.
I hardly ever read short books now, I find it great to read the long ones as it means the story lasts longer and there is more detail, if it was just 200 pages I would disappointed.

yes they are!! the more pages the better! the first book I read that was well long was The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, specially Return of the King. It felt like that story went on and on forever, but you know what I loved that aspect of it! I used to read only short books as a child, now at 23, I enjoy much longer stories.

I've read some books that are super long but its only because the author keeps on adding unnecessary details or is just extending the story for no reason. If its like that, I get really frustrated

I recently started writing a book series..and most of the books I read are 500+ pages..what kind of long books do you guys like to read?
It can be as long as it wants just as long nothing is repeated or it doesn't get too boring or dragged out
I like dystopian mostly. But then there are those books that are in no random genre but you have to read them.
Have you read Divergent? Or Across the Universe or Possession? Those are pretty good dystopians. I write stories when I'm bored and then I forget about them and never touch them again. One of my best friends is an author. One of her books is coming out soon too. She's the writer and I'm a reader.
I haven't read any of those..but I'm pretty sure Divergent is on my to-read list...what's the book called that she is coming out with?
You have to read Divergent. it's AMAZING. And my friend's book is "The Sassy Divas" She started in fifth grade so thats why its like the Clique series.

it's about magic and danger and what not...since you like MI and ID you'll probably enjoy that too...have you read fallen, or hush, hush?
hush, hush was amazing!!!!(: I'm reading Fallen right now, and if you care to have your mind completely screwed over and over again, you'll like that series too:p I swear it can be sooooooooooooo frustrating at times, sometimes even just an entire book, I'll feel like just excluding it from the series because it makes no sense and it does more harm than good. but i love them(:
yeah like he's overprotective, completely devoted and a huge risk taker...but he would destroy himself before he'd let his lover get hurt<3
he would be if he could fly with you in his arms:p I prefer Jace but Daniel also makes my heart throb(:
xD :D NO JACE FOREVER. KAYLAH I DONT KNOW WHO THIS DANIEL IS BUT I WILL CONVINCE YOU THAT JACE IS BETTER. MWAHAHAHA
lol trust me I love Jace with all my heart, but Daniel comes in third after Will Herondale and Jace is first:p lol
I love Simon too and all, but I prefer the bad boys..I guess he would be tied at third...or maybe tied at second..idk:p
The bad boys are always the best. Cause they're all dark and mysterious and for some reason that's like really attractive
I know! You know they're going to have a story but then it's fun trying to figure it out. And then you wish you knew someone like that
Exactly! Someone like from our books that is REAL! all the guys where I live are all lame! I so desperately want a Jace!:p
I have no guys at my school. They're all seriously hideous and they all act like girls. It's not even funny how hideous they are. A lonely cat wouldn't be attracted to them. I want Jace, Simon, Will, and even a Jem would do
I think that the male characters from our books would be a perfect if included in our everyday lives(: the guys at my school are cute, but they're like preppy d-bag guys with drinking and drug problems and just idiots!:p
Haha. If I get accepted into the high school I want to, then I will be surrounded by angels. Almost a Jace and Will. But if I did see ace or Will at school I would probably way to scared to talk to them. Or I'd faint. Or they'd just ignore me.
I would probably ignore them and they'd be all like "Woah Woah, girls don't ignore me..what's going on here, oh I'm gonna make her adore me!" And we'll fall in love..the End(:(:(:(:
