Insurgent ending....

So true. I mean there's still much to learn about Edith Prior, however, we have no clue whatsoever what the fence is keeping them away from. It is quite nerve wracking, actually...
I was freaking out at the ending. I was like, "Whhhaaaaatttt?! Stupid cliff-hanger! Veronica Roth you better write fast!" I loved the ending but it just leaves so much. I was wondering how the other factions would react? What could happen? Are they going to go outside the fence? What is out there? What will happen to the faction society?
I know. I was a little teed off at the ending. It left me hanging! Couldn't have ended on a good note could it?! lol, no, we don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. What's outside the fence? Is it more people? If it is, how in the world can the Divergent change them? Is this going to make Tris some sort of leader, or has she become a big target for all these people that just learned that there's no such thing as a faction anymore. Also, how will this effect Tris and Tobias' relationship? Ugh! Too many questions! I cannot wait for the third book!!
What I'm questioning is... Did everyone from the outside get put into the Factions? I mean, Veronica Roth did have Edith say, "Half of those people in those pictures, committing those terrible acts, were your neighbors. Your relatives. Your coworkers." (523) Does that mean that a lot of the people in the Factions were in the outside at first? This is confusing haha. Another thing I'm wondering is how they erased their memory, and place false memories in them. Hmmm. I'll just have to wait and read the third book!
I think the outside of the fence will be corrupt, poor and fallen, and Americans will have spread apart in groups around main U.S. cities living like the Factionless (except for rich, corrupt leaders who hold all of the resources). I think there will be more brutality, lack of natural resources, lack of technology--there were never any planes going over the city, or trains coming into the city. There has definitley been a decline outside of the city.
I think the idea behind this book was so ingenious and relevant to life today, with all of the problems in today's world--mass shootings, horrific natural disasters, racism, bombs, etc., you can kindof imagine how things could have grown worse from there. Those reasons are good enough to have separated a portion of the people to "purify" their thinking, etc. and give them a new start.
I think that some people won't want to go back into the world though, like Amity. And it's crazy there are like no Abnegation left! Nice going, Jeanine..
When I read the end of the book, for weeks after I thought that Tris' mom was the woman from the video! It would be insane if there were no other people left in the U.S. now besides the group in the book...

Wow. If this isn't a book that can leave a reader asking billions of questions, I don't know what is. Surprisingly, the whole mystery behind Edith Prior isn't my biggest question. What is blowing my mind and keeps me going on a rant is the fact that all of the factions are pretty much this bubble. If I understand it correctly, Edith created the Faction system so that eventually the Divergent can come out and go outside of the fence and help "their" society", but if that is the case then WHAT THE HECK IS OUTSIDE THE FENCE! WHAT IS THE WORLD REALLY LIKE! They have to get out of that fence, because I might burst if I don't find out how the world is actually like.
That's my biggest question: What is the world really like? What do you guys think about what could be outside the fence, or what society is really like. I feel kind of dooped because Veronica Roth forced me into being a part of the faction bubble too and I don't know what''s going on outside. And being my curious self, I WANT TO KNOW. *sigh* Curiosity killed the cat.
