Theon. SPOILER ALERT!!

I'm not sure, if i felt upset. The story has too many characters and the things happens too fast. I didnt even feel connected to them. Theon has a short presence on the story! And from nowhere, the guy is totaaaally in love with Cleo and vice-versa.
I think it was suppose to kill this character, afterall, Jonas is also in love with Cleo, so without Theon, things works better between them. Anyway, those are my thoughts!
I was really sad!!! I did want to get to know him better and felt things were a bit fast but a lot of time had past we just didn't see it all. Theon was such a good guy. Magnus is such a jerk. I also like Nic? I think his name was? The friend in love with Cleo. I wanted Cleo to like him back but I also think Jonas and Cleo might end up together. Although the way their relationship started maybe not.
Yeah, i was a little bit disappointed with the death of Theon, but it as ok at the same time, because we cant see a good development of this character in the book.Cleo and him barely talked, and suddenly they fell in love... I dont know, everything was so fast that i also couldnt feel connected with the character.
I thought his death fit the story. His character wasn't as fleshed out as Cleo, Jonas, Magnus and Lucia are. I wasn't really surprised when he got killed off. Magnus and Cleo needed him to die to round out their character's personalities and experiences.
Cleo fell in love with Theon WAY too fast for me. I didn't get attached to him. He was a flat, temporary character. I think I felt more for Magnus since you see so many dimensions in his character. Villian/tortured soul/evil daddy etc. You understand his motivations, even if his actions are wrong. Now Jonas, he's my fave for ending up with Cleo. So much character growth, by the end of the novel I like him. Theon served a nice purpose in the plot but was like puppy love for me.

i agree. I think Cleo's and Jonas relationship will get a lot better in the next book

I think everyone thinks that, i just can't wait in tell Jonas falls hopelessly in love with her.
I'm still crying over Theon and its been two months now

The romance between Cleiona and Theon was too fast. I thought Theon was a tough guy, that he wouldn't fall for a brat like her that fast. He was more mature than her and he didn't spend that much time with her. Plus I thought Cleiona deserved a better match like either Jonas or Magnus. (don't hurt me for saying that :( )I really want Magnus to end up with her because they'll balance each other like Yin and Yang but it seems to me that it'll be Jonas instead. :(
Don't worry though, he's warming up to me so I'll probably accept it in the end. Jonas gets more charming in the second book. ;) *wink wink*
Like many others, I didn't think Theon or his relationship with Cleo had much development, so I wasn't that upset that he died. The only thing I was sort of upset at was the fact that he was killed without very much development. XD I get that Cleo has to lose everything, but I feel like her loss would have had more of an impact if he was developed just a little more. Her grief over losing Theon seems very superficial to me otherwise.I guess I will have to read the next book to find out if Cleo finds love elsewhere. ;)
I was just kind of like: "Meh." I mean, sure, he might be a nice guy. He might not be. He wasn't really all that three-dimensional. He had a cool name, though.

I was that upset.
You??"
It was SOOOOOO devestating
I felt like we didn't get enough time to actually connect with Theon. Magnus was my favorite character anyway and so I wasn't too broken up about it, I was pretty shocked when it happened though. I didn't think Theon would die, if anything I though we would get alot more of the relationship between Cleo and Theon in Rebel Spring.
I felt...so depressed. I just wanted to cry. And just sit in my room for a whole week and feel dead. I fell in love with Theon. Theon was a bae. Then I loved Magnus as well. BUT HE HAD TO DO THAT! OMG. GAHHHHH *rage*
I just finished the frist book. And when Magnus killed Theon. ... I was shocked. He did not deserve to die! :(
I was upset because he seemed introduced for no real purpose. I can see how it would be hard for some people to feel badly when Theon died because we barely got to know him.

When her sister died it was more meaningful.
It sucks that he died but their relationship wasn't very connected so I don't see why Cleo was so devastated when he died. I think Cleo mourns him him because in order to save Cleo's life he had to pay with his. She just feels bad about watching him die. But you guys are right, his death was practically just another that happened on the battlefield. Sorry if that was a little harsh.
Natalie, I went into a week-long depression and haven't been able to pick up the book, since. I found one of the books in Books a million while on a field trip. I had my book nerd friends with me, but they left when i sank to my tears, sobbing. About half an hour later, right before we had to leave, I ran to the buses, tears still streaming down my face. Theon is my love. May he live on forever in the Stars.
If the book was only in Cleo's perspective, I would probably feel that Magnus is a bad character. However, since the story switches to Magnus's perspective as well a Cleo's, we can understand why Magnus did what he did. I still feel bad that Theon died. I wish the story had gone some other way.
I was completely destroyed when Theon died. He was literally one of my favorite characters. I didn't know that cleo will fall for someone else. If I was in place of cleo, and I would have loved someone that much, I would literally kill myself.
