THE PERSON BELOW ME...

Okay, here's how this works. The first person asks a question or poses a statement. The next person to comment, (or the person below them), answers that question. And then that person asks another question for the next person to answer..and so on. Who wants to play? I'll start...

What's TPBM'S favorite memory?

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Favorite memories are difficult. Are they one's favorite because they are good, or is it because of the impact they've had on you? I have many memories that should be counted as my favorite: the birth of my son, my wedding day, the day my mother took me out of school just to spend time with me. But if I had to choose only one, I'd pick a two week period at the end of December, 2010. First I learned that my company had been sold and there was a very good possibility that I would soon find myself unemployed at the worst financial time in my life. Yet, that same day I received the first proof copy of my self-published book. That weekend, I would speak with my brother whom I had never met and had only once spoken to when he was thirteen, nearly twenty years earlier. And on the 30th of December, I received an email from a young friend, a Marine home from Afghanistan. He he been wounded, but he was home. And alive!

Combined, they are my favorite memory for how they changed me, giving me a new appreciation for what is truly important before it was too late.

And on a lighter note :)...

What is TPBM's favorite quote?

S.E. Duncan | 47 comments It's a tie: "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent" and "Do what you feel in your heart to be right - for you'll be criticized anyway" - both by Eleanor Roosevelt

What is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to TPBM?

Studio Dongo (studiodongo) | 22 comments My favorite book has not yet been written, but it will teach me how to stop skimming threads and missing key phrases such as "least favorite."

After reading such a book, I would not think (not even for one foul, disgusting second) that Laura named Brussels sprouts as her favorite food.

What does TPBM drink to get the taste of something bad out of her/his mouth.

Where would TPBM choose to go on vacation if time and money were no object?

Laura Libricz (lauralibricz) | 17 comments The first place that comes to mind is Amsterdam because it's such a beautiful city with a crazy history and a gorgeous new library.
