Although the entrance to the library is on the first floor, the library itself is much further down and one must traverse a three-story long flight of stairs to reach it. The library itself seems to be a tribute to the one in Heliopolis in the First Nome, albeit a smaller version. The walls of the library are decorated with pictures of Gods, monsters, and people in all different colors. In addition to this, the walls are filled with cubbyholes holding scrolls and at each of the four compass points stands a shabti. These shabti each have the duty of maintaining particular subjects and when asked will fetch any scroll, palette, or other Egyptian artifact and are capable of retrieving translated texts. The ceiling is a deep blue and covered in swirling stars that shape the form of a woman, evoking the Goddess Nut. Similarly, the floor is shaped in to a man's body to represent Geb.

Danny was hiding in a corner, reading a book. She notcied Al but held back from waving.

Innocent was reading, hiding from everyone. She turned the pages, enjoying the alone time.

Danny re adjusts and turns the page.

She tries to shrink as Al approaches.

She can barely contain her squeak.

She shoots up and runs away, tripping over a book.

She shakes her head.nthen nods. Then turns away.

"sorry" she whispered.

Danny burst out laughing at greed.

She realized what she had done and backed away. Then she ran to pick up his books.
"I am really sorry."

Innocent saw and almost froze Greed. She didn't think that he should have scared Danny. She quietly stepped out of hiding and put her book away. Then, she quickly grabbed another and went back to her corner.

Shoving his books in his arms, she backed away from Greed. Then she turned to Al opened her mouth and closed it.

Innocent looked up from her book. She sat back in her corner, and put the book down.

"i didn't mean to"

Innocent listened. She smiled and started reading her book again.

"should i go and apologize again? i mean it was funny but..."

Innocent flipped a page, reading carefully. She loved reading.

"then ill just go...."

She looked at him funny and went back to reading her book in her little corner.

Innocent didn't notice the fact that Al saw her. She was to deep in her book.

Innocent felt someone looking at her, and looked up. She saw Al.

Innocent gave him a small smile.

I was in the library reading my book and I noticed Danny reading in the corner I started to walk over but stop and sat back down better leave her to her book I said to myself.

Innocent said," Hi."

Danny smiled as she read her book. She glanced up to see a boy staring at her. She grinned at him.

I noticed Danny a grinned back at her and walked over I sat down next to her and said what are you reading?

Danny holds up, "beauty and the beast, modern version." she smiles. "you?"

I smile back and hold up my book encyclopedia of snakes.

"cool" Danny moves closer, taking a look at it.

I show her the page of my favorite snake the garter snake see that one I said pointing to the picture. Well that's the breed of snake that I have.

"Athena, right? Wow, she must be so beautiful."

You want to see her? I asked

"yeah."

I led Danny up to my room and went in stay her I told her I went in and when I got out I had Athena in my hands she was coiled around my wrist. Go ahead I said pet her.

Danny squealed with delight a stroked her. "her skin is so cool!"

Yes I agreed kind of a smooth scaly mix.

"yes!"she gushed.

I put Athena back in her cage I looked at the clock 10:00 wow! I said its late well see you tomorrow.

"oh.well bye then" she waved and walked slowly away.

I waved back and went into my dorm and shut my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Danny smiled to herself and went to her own room.

The next day I went down to get some cereal while I was getting ready I noticed Athena was not in her cage oh great not this again I said to myself. I looked all around the room but I couldn't find her now I was starting to worry.

Ok.

I went up to Danny have you seen Athena anywhere? I asked

Danny shakes her head, still bleary from sleep. "no. Why?"

I can't find her!

"oh gosh! Let me help you find her!"

The last I saw her was in my room and the door was closed I said as I checked under my bed.

"oh no. I feel so bad for you." she pulls open some random drawers and looks under the dressers.
