Alice came in and began setting up everything.

Will came in and sat down.

Jas slid into a seat and looked with interest at the stage.

"Hello," Alice said. "How are you today?"

"Good! Except we nearly got killed in our last class," Jas said.

Alice smiled. "How to control powers?" she asked.

Will nodded.

"Yeah...the teacher is crazy," Jas replied.

Alice nodded. "Well, I'm Alice, the teacher of this class," she said. "What are your names?"

"Jasmine," Jas said with a little smile, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I'm Will," Will said.

"It's nice to meet you both," Alice said. "So, how much do you guys know about acting?"

"Um, not much," Jasmine confessed.

"Me either," Will said.

"Ok, I'll get you started with a few warm-up exercises, then." Alice sorted through her stack of papers.

"Like stretching?" Jasmins raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"No," Alice smiled. "I want both of you to come up here to the front."

"Ok," Jas said, walking up to the stage.

Will went after her.

"Ok," she handed them both a sheet of paper. "I want you to read off what is written on this paper. Try to be creative with the way you say it."

"Uh...I am a mystery to all who behold my hidden eye," Jas read, and then looked up, "What does that mean?"

"It's for the listener to decide. Don't you just love things like that? I think they're really cool." Alice said. "Now, Will, say your part."

"If you can understand it," Jas muttered, looking back down at her paper.

Will grinned, before reading, "How did I get here? How did I become the monster that I am?"

"Ew, let's not talk about monsters after last class," Jas wrinkled up her nose.

"It's not real monsters." Alice said. "It's a metaphor, meaning he has become a person he never wished to be."

"I know," Jas rolled her eyes and then shrugged, "Never mind."

Will looked up from the paper. "So what do we do now?"

"Prance about the stage chanting an ancient spell?" Jas asked with some interest.

Alice laughed. "No, that comes later." she joked. "I want you guys to think of a play or short film or something to start working on."

"Oh, how about Phantom of the Opera?" Jas asked.

Johnny snuck inside and hid at the back of the room.

Jas suddenly felt her brother near, but she figured he was in a nearby classroom.

Johnny sneezed.

"Johnny?" Jas whirled around, hearing the sneeze.

Johnny got scared. "N-no." He quickly covered his mouth.

Jas put her hands on her hips.
"I know you're there," she said in her older sister voice.

He slowly stood up.

"Come on out," Jas pointed to the stage a few feet away from her.

Johnny does as he's told.

"This is my little bro," Jas said to the teacher.

Johnny looked at the teacher, a little scared. He realized that the teacher was the same person he had stolen lunch from a couple days before.
