Kira sat up with a start in her bed thinking for a dreadfully long moment that she was back in those woods... She shivered pushing away the thoughts. Sometimes she wondered if those years had ever really happened and sometimes she could almost forget they had, until she saw the scars. Those scars, no where that she would show while she was dressed were her constant reminder of the weight she carried. She was a mage, a powerful one at that, but her power was so strange and ancient to even her teachers that Kira dared not use it for anything bigger than say lighting a candle. She sat quitely in the dark for a few more minuets, until her fear subsided, then she reached to the table and lit the candle that sat their in its dull holder. The room was brought to light, not a very big space, just enough for her needs, a bed a table and chair, a small dresser and a door. Still with just the candle shadows hugged the imperfections and corners of every surface in the room, lingering like the deamons in her dreams.
Kira shook herself again and moved to the dresser. The cool stones under her bare feet had a calming effect on her jacked up nerves as she picked up her Guard uniform folded neatly on top the the sturdy wooden piece of furnature. Taking a deep breath Kira mentaly prepared herself for another day of hiding who she was from everyone she knew, it was tireing really... having to be someone you weren't. Again she shook herself out of her reveri and pulled on the navy blue wool uniform tunic worn soft by use. Sitting in the chair Kira pulled the soft brown leather leggings over her legs and tied it tight at her hips. Lifting her long tunic Kira sinched a brown leather belt to to her waist with two daggers sheathed in it. Pulling the loose blue tunic back down to hide the daggers she looped a second belt loosely over her hips strapped to in a longer dagger. Lastly Kira shoved her feet into knee length leather riding boots, custom fit and worn to perfection. There were perks to her life in the Gaurd, the uniforms were warm and comforatable and made to fit right, though that was more because good equiptment helped to ensure good warriors.
Kira sighed and pulled on her leather gloves and tied her hair back and high before pulling on the hat to match the uniform with a bright red feather. She pulled the hat down just above her eyes and headed out to door into the rest of the barracks. She stood infront of the door and said "Kira Shio reporting for morning rounds." as the sergent walked by, he gave her a kurt nod and moved to the next door pounding it to wake the next Guard who would be in Kira's triple for the day.

Maeve admired how the guards and people in the villages always got up quite early. And she didn't see anything fair about her sleeping the day away,so everyday she would wake up quite early and walk to the library where she sat down to read.Which is precisely what she was doing now.She sat in front of the small fireplace that what lit to illuminate the room slightly. She had a book in her lap and she read quietly.Aldrich at the moment was walking down the hallway, bed sheets in his arms. His job right now was to change the princes's bed sheets, and he looked and sounded glad to do it though his mind said something else.In his mind he was throwing around snarky comments, the ones he couldn't say out loud for the fact that he was supposed to be-and is-polite.
Cassie quietly slid Umar into its sheath and strapped the leather casing in its usual place on her left forearm. Over her undershirt she pulled on a worn gray tunic. The loose garment hid all of Cassie's hidden blades. Picking up her leather boots she slid silently on her bare feet towards the window she had perviously propped open, Sidari sat quietly on the sill, waiting for Cassie. The nine year old pulled herself up onto the high sill and shoved her feet into the slightly too large riding boots before jumping down onto the rooftop followed quickly by Sidari. Dawn was just breaking so Cassie and her little dragon friend had to quickly manuver their route, jumping quickly over several roof tops before decending into a diry back alley somewhere far from where they first emerged into the morning. Satisfyed that they had not been followed Cassie let Sidari climb up and perch on her little shoulder, the four year old dragon was nearly too big to continue traveling in such a manor. There were holes where the dragon's sharp claws had previouly perched on the girl's shoulder and light scars on the skin underneath. The young companions shared a smile, or as much as the young dragon could smile, before setting off towards the outskirts of town.

Ryder was awoken by the not so quiet endevores of Cassie and Sidari going out for a "secret" morning walk in the counrty side. He smiled and knew that he himself should be setting out soon. Word had gotten to him in the usual, never normal way that Ryder would have a new assignment today. He didn't know who it was from of why they wanted someone dead, he didn't care either. To him it was just a few more gold coins in his pocket. Sitting up and streching Ryder worked out the tight muscles from yesterday's training with his adopted sister, Cassie sure was a fast learner, she never seemed to get tired either, running long past when Ryder's well developed body tired. He sighed, stood, and dressed in black leggings and a dark gray tunic topped by his usual black cloak. Pulling his own riding boots on and securing them tightly Ryder tucked his hair into a cap and pulled the dark hood over his face, obscuring his features. On his way out of the hideout he nodded to Oscar who was up early sending a few of the Crew out on scouting and "recon". Recon was just slang for thievery. Oscar inqured on the whereabouts of Cassie and Sidari, probably hoping that they could lead a recon team, Ryder informed him of their early morning outing addin that Oscar could expect them near noon. Ryder slipped out the back door and down a few still shadowed allies and into a stable a ways away from the hideout. In the single stall stood a massive black mare. NightFall was one of Ryder's favorite steads, he imagined he looked like Death himself riding down the streets in his dark cloths and cloak atop a midnight balck horse... He liked that image, and in a way it was true, because in a way he was Death. For some people anyway.

((Kira is in the palace barracks, Cassie and Sidari are outside the city, and Ryder is somewhere not very specifically inside the city.))
Bleu was stationed in the castle at the time, doing tidious work with the Guard. Currently he was dressing to go out on patrol, though the rest of his triple were out on duty so he would be joining another group this morning. It was still before dawn when Bleu walked out of his quarters and stood in nearly empty hall of the barracks, the only other person he caught sight of was Kira, Bleu wrinkled his nose at the thought of her. He couldn't exactally say what it was about her that set his teeth on edge but he could never stand being in her company for any duration of time. Presantly the Sergent came out of another room followed by a scruffy looking and bleary eyed private. Bleu made the assumption that this man,boy really, would be joining him on the morning sweep. He smiled pleasantly at both the boy and the Sergent and stood at attention to recive his orders. "Good morning Corporal Bleu, you will be joining Corporal Shio and Private Samms on duty this morning. Corporal Shio will be the comanding officer on rounds." The Sergent said addressing Bleu, at the mention that Kira would be heading up the mission he had to contain his rage, command rarely went to a younger officer, let alone a Corporal who had just recived her promotion from private. Bleu nodded his head Curtly to the Sergent and to Kira before turning and motioning, grudginly, for her to take the lead.
Maeve soon got quite bored of books, though she could read it all day if it were later. She quietly stood up and walked out of the library, wandering the halls of the castle for something to do.She always needed something to entertain her or else she got quite antsy and shook up. She hated it because instead of being her calm self she looked like a mad women. She fiddled with her hands as she looked fiercely for something to do.Aldrich knocked on the door of the prince's room before entering.Seeing there was nobody there he proceeded to strip the sheets of the bed and make the bed again with new ones.He did this every two to three days, just because the prince was oh so picky.
Cassie walked for quite a ways into the country side with Sidari still perched on her shoulder, ocassionally the little dragon would flit off for a number of minuets before returning with a curious find. Most often it was some particuarly colorful flower that had caught her eye or a fruit she recognized and brought for the little girl to eat while they walked. After each of her excursions Sidari would perch back on Cassie's shoulder and make growling and chirping sounds in harmony to the songs Cassie made up as they walked.By now it was closer to noon than dawn and the wo young ones had been missing from the city for several hours. Back at the hideout Oscar was growing anxious, he had things for Cassie to do that day, and was becoming worried when she hadn't returned. Still the two walked on, not finding any reason to turn or even look back. It was because of this that by the time they did look to see how far they had gone that the castle and its surrounding city were completely gone. This was worrying to the two traveling along the road but not so much that the thrill was drowned, Cassie turned back down the path they had been traveling and continued on her way, Sidari craned her long neck to look back for several long moments before rejoining the adventure. It was quite a thrill for both of them, to be so far from home, on their own and Cassie wasn't worried she had hidden several small pouches of coins in various places around her person. So they continued on their way soon leaving behind even the gently rolling hills of the country side, to be replaces by a dense and mysterious forest with shadows cast over shadows creating the illusion of total night.
