Lily first time I read from this author. A wonderful introduction to her work. Read this in one afternoon. Can not wait to hear more from Elle and Camden!

Rashika (is tired) You should read the Experiment in Terror series.
That's pretty awesome as well! :D

Julielynn Love this novel! Halle is adept at creating quirky characters and fresh storylines. This book is one of my favorites of hers... My husband kept checking on me because I was saying things to my iPad as I read. Guess I got a little loud and involved!

Jezabell Girl Couldn't put this book down and read it to it's conclusion through the night (who needs sleep anyway). Really looking forward to the Experiment in Terror books. More sleepless nights likely :-)

Stacia (the 2010 club) I really enjoyed this too, as well as the first Experiment in Terror. Just got a copy of The Devil's Metal (Devils, #1) by Karina Halle also, which is not related to the other two series.

Jenny I loved it . . . can't wait for Part 2 or even the Novella 1.5 she has planned!

I want to read that one but I am not sure if I'll like it, I loved the rest of her works though. :)

Crystal Huff LOVED this book and can't wait for the next one in the series, including the novella. I found Karina Halle reading the first in the Experiment in Terror series, Dark House. I recommend that series too. Reading her books I tend to stay up through most of the night! LOL! They are all definitely addicting! :)

LittleAsian Sweatshop I stumbled upon Sins & Needles and it was so good, that I decided to give her "Experiment in Terror" series a shot (which is saying a LOT becaus I am *terrified* of horror)...and OMG...I ended up tearing through the series in 2 weeks.

I can't go to bed without having my husband check under the bed...but SO SO SO glad I found Karina Halle!

I didn't think it was possible, but I think I love Perry and Dex more than Elle and Camden! Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind when the next TAT book comes out!!!!

Rashika (is tired) I love both of them equally, it's so hard to choose a favorite when it comes to her books.

LittleAsian Sweatshop I think I'm currently leaning towards EIT only because after 6+ books (don't know how to count the novellas in the total...haha), I think I'm more emotionally vested in Perry/Dex.

BUT, since Elle and Camden were the ones that lead me down the Karina Halle rabbit hole (especially when I *never* read horror/paranormal), I think that says a lot too.....

Thank goodness this isn't an all or nothing scenario! HAHA! I could never figure out who to pick (seriously, if I was faced with the choice between Dex and Camden..........I think my brain would explode!)

-ya I like Halle's writing style. If I had to choose my favorite characters in her books, Dex in EIT and Elle in Sins&Needles would be my pick.

JMV Loved Sins & Needles but I'm a little nerves about reading her other books now..... But I will, who needs sleep!

Jenny her other book came out today . . . it is a novella.

Ruby OMG Thank you!!!!!!!! so glad it came out earlier, I just finished Sins and Needles last night.

message 17: by Rosa (new) - rated it 5 stars

Rosa After reading all the reviews for this book I was compelled to give it a try. I'm so glad I did because this book is really awesome! I like that some reviews had pictures of guys that fit Camden's description closely. Now I can't picture him any other way.

Leslie Just finished this one and loved it. Now reading Devil's metal. Wish me luck...

Rashika (is tired) Good Luck! :)
I hope you like it..... (I wouldn't know I still need to make up my mind about reading it :P)

Tracy LOVE THIS BOOK! and her other one on every street was great to. I am glad i read them with this one first because it gave you a better out look on Ella. ENJOY!

Tanya OMG this is the beginning of a perfect trilogy, total page turner, I can't wait for the second book to come.....
I loved On Every Street!!!!!
WOW

Tanya I like Ellie and Camden... but I'm so curious as to whats going to happen between Ellie and Javier...
He's so obsessed with her:)

message 23: by JMV (new) - rated it 4 stars

JMV Just finished On Every Street. Loved how they work together. Now I can't wait or the next one.... Ellie & Camden. Or Eden & Javier?
Starting Devil's Metal!

Jenny I can't wait for the second part now that I read On Every Street! I am dying to know, after a year of obsessing . . . what brought him to cheat?

Were you a bit confused as why the miscarriage (or was it a period) made him turn from her?

message 25: by JMV (new) - rated it 4 stars

JMV Or was he always cheating... The next book can't come out soon enough!

Jenny Good point . . . maybe all along he always had others on the side. Maybe it had to do w/ his business? (total wishful thinking to defend him)

I can't wait either . . .

I wonder if we will have the POV of all 3 of them?

Tanya It was just a missed period... but why not try again if you really wanted a baby, why cheat????
I don't think he was cheating before, I think he was just lashing out and didn't intend on getting caught.......
Can't wait for two!!!!!

message 28: by JMV (new) - rated it 4 stars

JMV I'm sure it will be deeper than what we think- at least I hope so!

I think Travis knew she was in town, Javier did the one thing he knew would drive Ellie to the edge and leave him for good and it did he's calculating and sinister and the best part about being both is that he would be paranoid, there had to be security cams in the house she dint know about and he was acting weirder than usual after...and maybe he's made some DEAL with Travis to leave her alone..a long shot but its something I like Javier I think both Ellie and Javier are very alike

Adriana Updike JUST finished 'on every street' - read Sins and needles first... LOVE both Cam and Javier but am so heart broken that Javier cheated!! especially after reading how he was with her in 'on every street'.

Maybe he knew who she was all along?!? Maybe he was conning her and ended falling in love like she did?? UGH! 3 book cant come out soon enough!

Jenny Adriana wrote: "JUST finished 'on every street' - read Sins and needles first... LOVE both Cam and Javier but am so heart broken that Javier cheated!! especially after reading how he was with her in 'on every stre..."

I wondered the same . . . was he coning the con and feel in love (really) and then when they thought she was pregnant he felt the weight of his lie . . . I am so making crap up now! lol.

Adriana Updike Lol! No Jenny - I am totally with you on that one!! I CAN NOT wait for the third book!!

Jenny Adriana wrote: "Lol! No Jenny - I am totally with you on that one!! I CAN NOT wait for the third book!!"

I have imaged the "story" so many times after reading Javier & Eden's journey . . .

I can't wait to see how it picks up. She asked on FB what we wanted a sneak peek of and I wanted Camden's POV b/c I am dying to see how he feels about her walking away from him at the end. I might have to re-read S & N before the next comes out . . .

Vanessa My husband and I both grew up in the Palm Springs/palm desert area and it was fun reading about things that we knew. I was so confused by where palm valley was as its not an actual city so I assumed it was yucca valley, which is next to Joshua tree. I graduated from yucca valley high so it was so weird having a book based relatively around where you grew up! Even though I now now that palm valley was made up.

Assia I'm dying to know what Javier has to say to her to explain... Did he know about her, did Travis know about her??? The cheating was sooooo weird for me, he could have left her if he got bored or fell out of love. He was so closed with her at the end why not tell her to hit the road if he doesn't want her anymore. Why cheat at the house if he didn't want to get caught, or did he?? It's not like she knows where he is going all the time. Well i think if Javier didn't want to get caught cheating he would have managed pretty good he's a gangster after all!

I think with the cheating it's simply a man, Javier, who wants the best of both worlds - basically, screw any woman he wishes and still have Elle at home with him. He doesn't want any other man to have Elle. We should also remember that he's the one who took her virginity (see "On Every Street") so it could also be a power or ego trip. I'm just speculating.

Assia Pam wrote: "Assia wrote: "I'm dying to know what Javier has to say to her to explain... Did he know about her, did Travis know about her??? The cheating was sooooo weird for me, he could have left her if he go..."
yeah I get what you're saying but it was weird that he didn't know anything about her coning him and then his love was very intense elemental to the core... There should be some sort of explaination for me not to trash my ereader :) I'm just hoping!

Nalu.chan I love this book!! I actually discovered Karina Halle through her EIT series, but I've read all of her books. I love how real her characters are and how we have a love/hate relationship with them (Dex was the character that proved to me how Halle was such a good writer - One moment I hated him, the next I loved him). I reccomend all of her books for everyone!

Crystal Huff Agreed Nalu.chan

Emily The real question for the next book... IS JAVIER REALLY GOING TO KILL HER... OR NOT?

I'm up in the air on this. It's obvious that he found out about Ellie Watt, so he knows their whole relationship was a lie, but do you think he put the pieces together and figured out she was in it for revenge? If so, I don't think he'll be able to kill her.

If he doesn't know about her motivation for conning him but knows that she was lying to him, I think he just might off her. But then, why leave Camden alive? Couldn't he just go to the police and turn him in? And you'd think Camden would be decent enough to go after her, given how terrified Ellie is, so why would he leave Camden alive? It's just a mess to clean up later.

Or maybe she'll save herself and cap Javier's ass, I'm okay with that, too. Especially if he plans on killing her when he's the one that cheated? BS, man!

Needless to say I'm chomping at the bit, we have to get to the bottom of this dirty triangle of angst and awesomeness :D I don't want to be on Javier's side, I think he displays many examples of a stalker/abuser. He is obsessive and possessive, these aren't characteristics of love but control. He seems romantic in On Every Street, but the way he goes after her in Sins and Needles and kills her uncle tells me he threw their love out the window.

Then again, Camden also shows obvious signs of being abusive. Given the example of his father, I wouldn't be surprised and a few moments in the book made me really nervous, especially the "I own you" comments.

Apologies for the caffeine facilitated brain vomit, I'm super stoked about this series! :)

We should also not forget that Elle has a lot of flaws. But seriously, I can't wait to read the next installment. I'd pre-order it now if it was listed on Amazon. I'm going to make sure my hubby is busy elsewhere the day I get it as I don't want to be interrupted.
