What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

its a bout a world where everyone works just to play a video game online. and when they play they just farm and save money for one good item. well a boy doesnt like this so he tries something different and kills a dragon. him and his friends become the best players in teh game and the most feared. the goverment tries to kill him. his dad who doesnt play the game has a secret character that the goverment fears and he uses it to save his son. the boy ends up beating the game and shutting it down so everyone has to actually live.

Sounds a little like Ready Player One but the main protagonist doesn't have a dad IIRC.

Its not Ready Player One. In the book im looking for he deffinatly has a dad. and the goverment is in the game. they even have a undefeatable character they send after the boy which end up shuting down the game. its been so long its hard to remember lol.
