Quorra stepped closer to the sound, entranced. What a beautiful voice it was, that sang the song. She usually noticed where she was stepping, but not this time. Her usually so careful feet stepped on a twig, and its' snap! rang out through the forest. She froze, extremely embarrassed for interrupting.
Quorra stepped out of the cover of the trees. "Oh, my, I'm terribly sorry," she called out softly. "I didn't mean to interrupt.."

Ever was perched on a tree branch, happily enjoy an apple from a nearby apple-tree with her little sister, Brielle. When she heard voices. She turned her head and looked down, and saw the two girls over a few trees away. Ever was nearly invisible with her sister in the leaves, unless someone were to really look. She watched them, somewhat curious and somewhat cautious.
Quorra broke into a somewhat absent smile. "Ah, alright then," she replied. "Hello, Ivy. I'm Quorra."
Quorra nodded, her eyes flitting to the trees behind Ivy, then back. "The pleasure is mine, Ivy."
"Oh, my," began Quorra, coming back to reality, "I didn't mean to intrude. I was only wandering, deep in thought. You see, I was visiting the realm of the elves. They wanted to send me to Hogwarts, but I'm afraid Professor McGonagall said no. She didn't want to spoil it, you see, for she is going to send me an acceptance letter. Anyhoo, the elves were quite upset at that, and they sent me to the depths of Mirkwood, when I heard your singing and decided to find the magnificent being that possessed such a voice." She blinked innocently, smiling.
Quorra nodded. "I suppose you could say that," she replied in an airy voice.
((^^ Indeed.))
Quorra flicked a small curl of hair over her shoulder. "Ah, alright." She cocked her head to one side, thinking, then began to sing The Call by Regina Spektor. Her voice carried over the forest, light and beautiful.

((^^ Yes! Just like. :)
I love this song... ^^ ))
Quorra smiled at Ivy as she sang, a breeze lifting the hair off of her shoulders and into the air.

((Me too! I heard it when we were doing Disney songs on Pandora... For some reason The Call came up, but I'm glad. :) ))
Quorra blushed, smiling. "Thank you," she replied softly. "Thank you so very much."

((Very nice. :) ))
"Do you come here often?" queried Quorra.
"Do you come here often?" queried Quorra.
Quorra nodded. "Ah. I see. I come into the forest, but usually not in this particular area... I'm rather partial to the opposite end."
Quorra's eyes flashed. "The wind longs for a friend," she began, her voice steely cold, "the boy still lingers, wanting only to speak with someone. The trees are taller and more majestic than any other. There are secrets there that none other knows, that the trees keep and the wind whispers. The streams hold dreams, dreams that are to come true and that are now lost."
((It's... interesting. :) ))

"The trees trust me," replied Quorra, the steel gone from her voice and eyes. "I have visited them for years, and they know me now. The wind sings of sorrow, yes, but it also sings of friendship. And bravery."
Quorra's eyes narrowed, then she sighed, looking down at her bare feet. "I am terribly sorry. I did not mean to offend you."
Quorra laughed lightly. "I see."
"And I accept your apology," replied Quorra, reaching out her hand. "Truce?"
Her hand moving up and down, Quorra smiled. "Very nice. The wood-elves of the North wish it well, also. They are quite mischievous fellows..." She added randomly.
Bella walked through the woods and climbed up a tall tree. She sat on a large branch and leaned against the trunk, then she took out her notepad and started thinking up a song. "Hmm..." She thought to herself. She scribbled at the top, Safe and Sound.
((Whoops, so sorry, I think I tried to post, but it didn't.. >.< ))
Quorra grinned. "Ah, yes, they are quite bothersome," she replied.
Quorra grinned. "Ah, yes, they are quite bothersome," she replied.
(( :) Yep.))
Quorra nodded, noticing for the first time the chill in the air. "Indeed it is," she said, her smile fading slightly but not vanishing completely. "It is probably the evil-turned ice fairies at their horrid work."

Her eyes widened. "Really?" she breathed. "I'd love to!"
Quorra beamed, eyes positively aglow with happiness. "That'd be wonderful!"
Quorra began to walk, matching Ivy's pace. A glowing smile still lit her face, and she gazed at the trees happily as she went.
Bella tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and looked up at the cold blue sky. She shivered and jumped down from the tree. She walked away from the forest and back to her comfy little house.

Music sounded above the trickle of water from the river, and Quorra stopped, listening.
