Grace Meredith (koreantrash) Like the nerd I am, I have read all of my assigned reading (so far), so I just chose Number the Stars because it seems like lots of people have had to read it. I enjoyed it, the story was very short and sweet, but it didn't really blow my mind, and I probably won't read it again. I've read some better WWII books.

Maple (maplerie) | 307 comments I remember loving this book when I read it in grade four. If memory serves me right it's not an outstanding book overall, but I think for the age at which I read it at, it helped put things into an understandable perspective for me.

Grace Meredith (koreantrash) Yeah, it's a good children's book, but The Book Thief is more for teens/adults.

Connie Crum (libraryof1k) | 58 comments I remember reading this at some point in elementary school for a school assignment. I think it was my first introduction into what the Holocaust was.

Bec | 64 comments This book has just come in from the library for me so I'm going to add it to my TBR pile for this topic.

Bec | 64 comments I've finished it. I enjoyed it as a quick read but I think I would have enjoyed this more if I read it to my son rather than on my own. Definitely more suited for children,
