Kaye (krikabica) (krikabooks) Hi guys! Is this series any good?
Tahereh Mafi will come here in the Philippines and will have a book signing event. I'm not sure I'd go because I don't know if the series is worth my money.
Help me decide? Thanks!

I love the books! They have a really different and unique writing style though so they can be a hit or miss. I'm sure Amazon has a sample you could try and see if you like it.

Or here you go. Google books has good samples. I read them and then if I get into the story I go ahead and buy the whole book.

Pamela (waterspout) | 370 comments @Karen I'm going to the book signing (hopefully!) lol. You might be annoyed at the writing style at first, but the book is definitely worth reading!

Kaye (krikabica) (krikabooks) Why, thank you Jennifer and Pamela :)

DeAnna (dee84812) I just finished Shatter Me yesterday. It definitely took a while to get used to the writing style, but I really enjoyed it. I just preordered Unravel Me and will be going to a signing on Thursday!

Kaye (krikabica) (krikabooks) I'm curious about the writing style. I've been reading a lot about it.

Pamela (waterspout) | 370 comments It's definitely different than the usual. It's kind of poetic but not really. Also, words or phrases tend to be slashed out to indicate thoughts of Juliet that she thinks is wrong to think of. Or something like that. You can look at the back of the book (or cover flap) and you'll see something like that.

"I have a curse. I have a gift."

Melanie (melanie_yamidnightreads) It's really good! I gave it four stars http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Kaye (krikabica) (krikabooks) I know this is a dystopian but is also a paranormal (bec of the power she has)?

Pamela (waterspout) | 370 comments I didn't think it was paranormal at all..

Leanne (leannethegreat) I love the writing style, it was like thoughts in your head, the way--well at least the way I do--you fight with yourself and circle around the topic for a little bit. but it was also really poetic and pretty. THe descriptions were fantastic, and this coming from someone who has been known to skip long paragraohs of description in other books.

Yes it s super descriptive but I did like it. It was something different.

Kaye (krikabica) (krikabooks) I'm gonna read it. I'm so curious! Thanks!

Renuka | 18 comments It was actually really different. It was over the top with metaphors and descriptions but I personally didn't mind because it was such beautiful, poetic, prose.

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) It's good, a bit slow at first but it gets better on the middle part. Reminds me of X-Men too.

Btw. I'm going to the book signing event :) hihi. It's worth reading.

Pamela (waterspout) | 370 comments lol see you there :P

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) See ya :)
