The Doctor Rules!!!!!! discussion
Doctor Who References
Oh, and I was watching a series called Hetalia (it rocks, and it's anime) and one character said ''Time traveling phone booths can only go so far.'', and if that doesn't say Doctor Who, I don't know what does!
In the Big Bang Theory, Stuart dressed up as a Tom Baker, and also, in a different episode, Raj bought a TARDIS photo booth!
I'll try to watch for them and note where and when but I have seen the references a lot in the last six months. I remember one show a young person was saying "I wish I could have been there to see that." and the Dad said "What do you think I own a Tardis or something?"
No way!
I was once at the pool, and these people were like "don't blink, it's part of the game!" and their father was like, "what, am i a weeping angel?".
I had just seen Flesh and Stone for the 1800000th time, so i was like freaking out!

I think by the end of this year we might end up convincing half the world to start watching! I remember when Tom Baker was on that it was somewhat popular but then I just happened upon it by accident one Saturday on the Sci-Fi channel and that got me hooked on the Doctor in any form.
Every day when I go to pick my little bro up from preschool, we drive by a phone box that is red, I always look at it disappointed and say "You are a Failed TARDIS cos-player..." or "You are such a sad lonely piece of metal..."
Hahaha, wish we had a phone box where I live, sadly, no.

I was watching a 90's British sitcom called The vicar of Dibley, and they referenced Doctor Who twice :D
yeah the Big Bang theory references Doctor Who a few times. I think both the ones given above were Halloween episodes (the one with Stewart dressed as Doctor 4 (Tom Baker Doctor) was). I think they have referenced the TARDIS another time or two in the dialogue.
On Criminal Minds, Reid and Garcia go to a convention and he is dressed as Tom Baker doctor and knitted the scarf himself
There was appearances of Tom Baker in Futurama (Don't know the name of the episode)
You can actually see him go off a red London bus and climb into the TARDIS
And there was a reference in Suite Life of Zack and Cody where a red phone booth invented by Darwin can go to a parallel universe ((It kind of a spin-off of Doctor Who))

In the musical Matilda, someone compares their stomach to a tardis because they could eat so much :)
In my class our roll teacher says silence all the freaking time and one time some girl said, Silence must fall and I was freaking out I don't know her but I want to hunt her down and
In season 1 episode 25 (The Neutral Zone) of Star Trek The Next Generation they have a list of this random person's descendants, and The actors for the first six Doctors are shown. Also, in one episode they say to "reverse the polarity of the neutron flow".
maybe someone had mentioned this before... The Mighty Boosh often talk about Doctor who.In Series two, Vince Noir told Howard Moon that he was like a Jazz DALEK.
And in future sailor tour, Noel Fielding as Tony Harrison mentioned Doctor Who again. He said where's that Doctor with weasel looking face...he meant David Tennant, vut don't get angry because later he said I like that bloke.
In the show Eureka, someone says "Doctor WHO" meaning a Doctor from the World Health Organization, but this guy in the background just sort of yelled "I love that show!".
It's not really a reference, but there's a BBC mini series called Broadchurch which has both David Tennant and Arther Darvill in it. I'm only on the second episode, so I'm still waiting for a scene with the Tenth Doctor and Rory, but it has to come at some point, no?I wonder also if there will be any real references. I shall have to wait and see. Has anyone else seen it?
I have some but they were in books and the books are in my locker at school and I'm at home sick.
This isn't really one but in Rose (which I just rewatched) there is an add on the side of the bus for The Lion King musical, that add is also on a bus stop here in Australia I've seen it and this is the other side of the world
I had another one but I forgot it :/

In one of The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episodes, the Comic Book Guy is fiendishly collecting the actors who play famous sci-fi and fantasy characters and sealing them in plastic bags to keep them "mint in the box", one of whom is Tom Baker, scarf, hat and all (he's also got Spock, Seven of Nine and Xena, if memory serves).
I don't recall which, but one of the Family Guy Star Wars spoof has a 4th doctor refrence. They are going to light speed and then you hear the theme music and see the full intro to Docotor Who (including the image of Tom Baker).

I can't believe I found a subtle reference. Criminal Minds (last night May 22) Garcia talking to her agents in New York. "Guys I found something stranger than a time-traveling police box."

i worked in this bookshop for about 2 months and on the 4th week a bit after the premier of the hobbit. this guy walks into the shop and about 10min later i realize that it was Sylvester McCoy!!! i had real trouble not to go and hug him. also my grandmothers neighbour Helena bonham carter (no joke) was reading Dr who magazine on her couch outside. i almost screamed. for both reasons

And I'm sure I've seen more but I just can't remember.
