The Selection Role~Play discussion

Aria was outside shooting arrows when Madeline galloped in. "Long time no see" called Aria.
"tell me about it" replied Madeline. "you still have my bow, arrows and knifes?" she asked.
"you bet" Aria replied. "you going to train?"
In response Madeline got off her new horse, picked up a knife, and trow it at a dummy, hitting it straight in the heart.
"Be right back" said Aria. a minute later, she brought over Madeline things, and they both trained side by side.

Madeline felt that something was comming. she did not know who or what, but she told Aria a fairwell for now, and left, not wanting to be put under protection. she headed for the hospital. she now had what she needed and was good to go. she left on her horse, unseen as usual.

Hayden and Aiden showed up. Hayden snapped his fingers to get Aria's attention...the two had an interesting relationship.
"Move it would you? We need gear now."

Aria throw a knife in Hayden and Aidens direction getting a dummy square in the chest behind them. she never missed. "Table over there" she ssaid. she knew that they would be sent so she had taken the liberty to set everything up. "you don't know what something is, ask' she said as she continued to throw knives, and shoot arrows.

The reason Aiden moved so quickly was because of a combination of having not only muscles that reacted instantly, but a brain as well. It took .10 seconds for Aiden to register that Aria was throwing a knife in their direction, so in response he grabbed Hayden and pulled him to safety. Had he not seen the knife coming, Hayden wouldn't have blinked and instead taken joy in insulting Aria's outfit. Now, he was practically being hugged by Aiden, with a dumbfounded look on his face trying to remember why he wasn't allowed to kill him. "Hands off. Now." Aiden let go and Hayden brushed imaginary dust off, mumbling under his breath. He went to the table and Aiden followed once again wondering what he did wrong this time.

Aria was laughing on the side, and still trowing knives. "you need to teach the kid that i NEVER miss" she said. "if i wanted to kill him, he would already be dead" she added.

Aiden was tired of being insulted, "Would you shut up?! Didn't anyone teach you any manners? Or maybe a little something called humility? Don't underestimate me! Your cockiness is going to get you killed one day."
Hayden smiled, "We can only hope."

"Ahhh, and that is where you are wrong. It is what has been keeping me alive" she said. "when your parents are both eights, and they wouldn't give a table scrap for you, you need to step up in life, and do everything in your power to stay alive" she said. she was dead serious. "And for your information, manners arn't a street thing" she said. "now move your lazy butt, and get equipped" she said. she continued to shoot arrows. she was uunaffected by either of their comments. "oh and Hayden, same goes for you" she added.

"That is cute. Really it is. You know what I was doing while you were looking for food? I was being trained for war. It doesn't stop in the general's house." He seriously hated this woman. There was nothing that got on his nerves more than disrespect. Aiden walked over to the table, quickly suited up in less than a minute, then walked out the door where he waited for Hayden. On his way out, he threw a knife behind his back without looking, it hit bullseye right through Aria's arrow. As the sound of the door slamming vibrated throughout the room, Hayden whistled,"Goddamit Aria, now I know who he is. Can't you stop being a bitch for once in your life? Self-pity gets you nowhere. If he gets himself killed because of a temper tantrum, I'm going to kill you. And if you bother wasting your time with insulting me or telling me you could kill me if you wanted to, I'll kill you right now in front of everyone. I don't care how long we've known each other, what you just did made my life a thousand times harder." Hayden was livid. He was furious with Aria for being her usual rude self, which he usually liked b/c she was the only other honest person in the palace, but she had taken it too far. Aiden was a civilian who had never been given training in taking orders from anyone but his dad. He didn't know how to play politics, he just did what he thought was right. That thing he pulled with the knife, how fast he ran, which Hayden had seen on his way to the briefing room; the kid was a freak, a very dangerous one. It has to be why Aspen has been hiding his kids. If the palace found out about his kinds of talents, they would put him in a test tube. Hayden had heard rumors about a really young genius, but he never dreamed he was Aspen's son. Shit Aspen, this is too much. You paired him with me because you knew I'd figure out who he is and now you want me to protect him. Dammit why does every minute of my life have to be so annoying?

"what ever" she said, as she fixed another archers poise. "you know how to keep kids like him in line. oh, and don't get captured" she added. she looked at him once, and then continued to shoot and throw. she hoped Hayden would come back. he was a good kid. it would be a shame if the kingdom lost him.

"Get captured?" The thought momentarily cooled Hayden's temper, "Do you really think they're that close?" Hayden contemplated the thought seriously, "That would be wonderful. I've been wanting to try these new laser guns out. "There was a small smile on his lips, "I had to use a bullet gun recently and they really take the fun out of a fight. I'd prefer my sword usually but," he admired the strange silver gun that supposedly shot lasers rather than bullets, "I've been wanting to try these out. Aspen is going to want a report and he's going to want good reason for using them. Tell me Aria, you've been captured before, what does one have to do be so pathetic you need the use of firearms in battle?" While he was talking, he had been suiting up. He was now in full armor and spy gear. He smiled at Aria like his question had been polite.

she smiled sweetly at him, but the sarcasem was still there. "if your smart enough to know about Madeline, you should, hypothetically be smart enough to answer your own question" she said. She hated the fact that she had to train, and deal with Hayden. she wanted to go home, or to do something else. anything else. maybe even join the rebel side. that was always an option. they never killed people unlike the palace. the thought had passed through her mind many times, but she had never really thought about it. she decided to ask Hayden a serious question. "tell me, truthfully, if you knew that it would mean a better life for you, and if you ever have any kids, would you throw away what you have now, for something else?" she asked.

The humor, while somewhat sadistic, that had been in Hayden's eyes was now gone, replaced with something darker, "Been there, done that. It's a lot more...challenging than you'd think. But, I'd do it again. I'll do whatever it takes to find security, or happiness, whatever you want to call it."

she nodded. "thanks" she said. "i gotta go" she added, with that, she started to leave, stopped, turned around and said "be careful" with that she left, with a spark in her eyes. within 10 minutes she was out side of the kingdom walls, looking at the rebel camp.

Hayden sighed,"I'm gonna have to kill her if she is doing what I think she is."

Dimitri, Felix, Zeke, Ralph, and Tommy came flying out of the training center. They were in full armor. Zeke was on the verge of a panic attack. Dimitri was furious. Ralph and Tommy were blood-thirsty. And Felix was cursing so badly he’d be fired on the spot if anyone heard him other than his fellow guard. All of them except Dimitri were wishing they had gone on their vacation for real. Dimitri was a guard because he wanted to serve his country. He went straight to the briefing room to protect his king. He barked orders at the others telling them to go to several other places in the palace.
