I loved this musical so much! I love the take witches part of view from the Wizard of Oz! Tell me what you thought of it?

Yardéna Lucretia (yardenalucretia) I saw it here in Holland, so I was a bit skeptical because of the translations of the song. But this musical was awesome! I liked how they were able to incorporate so many elements into the stage setting. Loved the songs and music btw.

I saw it on Broadway with my family and my brother was getting ready to kill me because I was bouncing up and down in my seat, :) I loved it though. Joe (my brother) says that the giant head was the best part of the whole play.

Yeah it was! They did a really good job on that one. Although it was funny to see the man behind the screen jumping up and down to move it.

Yeah, it was funny. I thought that Wicked did a good job incorporating humor and seriousness thought the play.

Yardéna Lucretia (yardenalucretia) Yes it did. Although I must say, I was so excited that I bought the book on which the musical was based and I hated that. I put it down after a few chapters. The musical I thought was way better than the book.

I tried reading the book too and I didn't like it. I agree that the musical was better. I thought that the writers, director, and cast really capture the emotion, no matter what it was. The book made the characters seem paper-thin to me.

Yes it did. I felt ripped off! I thought the musical and the book would have a lot of similarities. I was wrong. I guess the only thing they share is the story itself. But the way the characters were portrayed in the book really pissed me off. So I didn't finish it.

The same thing happened to me. It is lonely and unread on my kindle, lol.

I have. My Aunt Christine lives in Brooklyn and takes me to see a lot of plays on Broadway. I've seen The Lion King, Wicked, and Peter and the Star Catchers. They were all wonderful and I got autographs from some of the cast and pictures with a tony award nominee from Peter and the Star Catchers!

Nice! Yeah I saw The Lion King, Beauty & the Beast, Evita, Tarzan, Miss Saigon and Wicked here in Holland. Blood brothers in England. However I'm dying to see a show on broadway!

They're amazing. I'm sure that the shows in Holland are amazing. I've always wanted to go out of the country. What is it like?

Yardéna Lucretia (yardenalucretia) Different compared to America. Even though both countries are part of western civilisation it really is night and day. Holland is very multi-cultural. We have so many different nationalities and that definitely influences our surroundings, our government etc. We have a rich history. I personally don't find it that interesting but for foreigners it really is. Cities like Amsterdam have really old buildings that are several hundred years old. We are smaller that New Jersey yet we leave our own mark in the world

I think that that's amazing to live in Holland . It seems like such an amazing place. I live in Pennsylvania, the one cool thing that we have is an intense amount of Amish people. That's basically it. Oh, but there I go, complaining again :P

Yardéna Lucretia (yardenalucretia) Hahah that sounds cool. I lived in Portland, Oregon for two years. Although that felt more European like than American. Pennsylvania is east coast right?

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Yep, it gets to below freezing in the wintertime and in the 80s, 90s, and 100s during the summer.

Yardéna Lucretia (yardenalucretia) Sounds nice.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, but coming from a smaller town and cousins who live in Philly and rub it in your face every time you see them, it gets...annoying.

Yardéna Lucretia (yardenalucretia) hahah Cousins can have that effect on a person

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

Yep, especially when they dress you up like a barbie because your the youngest and the only blonde.

Yardéna Lucretia (yardenalucretia) Oh hahah that CAN be really annoying.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

Yep, sometimes I like to pretend that EVERYONES family is a crazy as mine.

Yardéna Lucretia (yardenalucretia) Oh trust me, every family has it´s crazy people

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

That's good. I'm not alone!!!

Yardéna Lucretia (yardenalucretia) No you are not.
