I loved the first one, especially the ending! I'm really looking forward to the next one. :)

I think that this really brings up the whole nature vs nurture. I really felt for Jasper, can't imagine what it would be growing up like that, then can't imagine what it would be like when you realized what was so wrong with things.

I think he innately knew most of it was wrong, but especially toward the end felt powerless. I just like reading a story with such a deliciously demented individual like Jasper's dad.

For sure. Samantha, if you haven't, you should read Heartsick, Gretchen is definitely demented, but that is part of the appeal.
