The person narrating the story, of course...

You'll find out later in the book. I'm still not sure of the significance of hiding his identity.


Mekki | 63 comments Its interesting how at first the Church ( religion ) tries to understand the meaning and purpose of the plague. Basically stating that only if you're doing evil you would be affected and if you're righteous ( a believer )that you will be unaffected.

I liked how Rieux assessed Father Paneloux's speech. "He hasn't come in contact with death; That's why he can speak with such assurance of the truth"

Rieux really believe in a duty. Human to Human our duty is to help each other. If you see a man in need you should help and not condemn.
